Chapter 117: A Visitor in the Storm
As efficient as ever, Systm's actions soon made it to the dungeon, where he was to kill the paralyzed nezumi.
Basically the same as when a normal nezumi died, this nezumi did not emit any special movements, nor did it emit any energy fluctuations.
It seems that what is unsettling to him is not directly related to this nezumi.
But killing is killing, and Heatham doesn't particularly regret it.
Although he was eager to understand the [Spell of Severement] and eradicate this curse, it was nothing compared to his own safety.
However, Blake felt very disappointed by the death of the nezumi, and the death of the nezumi made Blake unable to experience the joy of learning a foreign language.
Aside from Blake's loss, Systham thought of the shelf life of the nezumi corpse as food.
Due to the weather, Sistemm was unable to roast and dry the nezumi's flesh, which was expected to rot in a few days.
The effective way to delay corruption is undoubtedly to freeze the flesh of the nezumi, but because it is far away from the ice and snow world, it is difficult to replenish the power of Sistum's [Frost Breath], and a single shot will allow Sistrem to recover for two or three days.
It's not enough to freeze the flesh of the rat-men.
Ora, who has hundreds of times his frost power, can naturally freeze and preserve the flesh and blood of the nezumi, but Sistemm thought about the lazy Ola and immediately gave up.
Ever since Blake broke out of the chrysalis, and Ola had been drinking dew lately asking Blake to help him piggyback from outside, Systham certainly couldn't command the lazy deformed butterfly.
It seems that the surplus of flesh can only be fed to his slime friends.
……
After simply dismembering and skinning the nezumi and throwing it to his ant people, Heatham made his way to the entrance to the lair once more.
After an hour or so of rain, the hail has disappeared and turned into mere rain.
The meadow is fairly permeable to rain, and the ground has not yet formed waterlogged, so Sistemm can't estimate how long the rain will last before reaching the height of his lair.
Turning his gaze, Systham looked at Shava not far from the lair and shook his head slightly, even though he had come out of the lair, Shava still didn't notice him.
Shava was now concentrating on playing in the rain, or practicing.
Out of [intuition] uneasiness, Sistm sent Sava to the entrance of the lair to observe for anomalies around him, as Sava was arguably the highest power Sistm possessed.
At this point, however, Sava was visibly focused on her own world.
From time to time, the twin blades of Shava's forelimbs slashed at the raindrops falling from the air, and every time she slashed dozens of times, Shava would stop and show a look of confusion, and after a while, she would adjust slightly and continue to dance the double blades.
Ever since Sava was self-conscious and named by Systham, she would practice tirelessly whenever she had free time.
Before her second pupation, she practiced chelicera, and after breaking out of her pupae a few months ago, Sava has been practicing the double blades of her forelimbs.
"Is it already that powerful......
Systham looked at Shava's sharp and uncluttered twin blades, slightly stunned.
When Shava first practiced chopping, Systum could still use his wits to give some guidance to Sava, but it is unknown when Systm was no longer able to guide Sava.
And Sava has relied on his own blind pondering to practice until now.
Usually Shava can't see it when he chops some plants or small animals, but watching Shava's action of chopping raindrops makes Sisham feel a little shocked.
Shava's movements reminded Sisstem of some martial arts masters from his previous novels.
Systran didn't know how to describe it, after all, Syst didn't know anything about swordsmanship, and naturally he didn't know what Shava's swordsmanship was, but it looked very pleasing to the eye.
……
Without disturbing Shava, who was immersed in his own world, Systm once again flew high into the air to scout the surroundings for the source of his uneasiness.
The raindrops kept falling, but Sisstem's flight was not greatly affected, only because of the rain, his vision was blocked, and the scenery in the distance seemed foggy, as if in a thick fog.
In the thick fog of the rain, Heatham saw two vague shadows two kilometers away from him, and the two figures were approaching in his direction.
The figure came from the direction of the Lierte Forest, not the nezumi that Heatham had envisioned.
Because of the partial inheritance of the Golden Acorn, Systham could feel that one of them was a druid.
The heavy rain obscured Sistm's view so tightly that Sistm was unable to see the other humanoid, but based on his body shape and druid social connections, Sistm deduced that he was an elf.
The uneasiness from [intuition] came out again, and it seemed that the source of the uneasiness was the two figures.
"Is it because of the golden acorn? Or is it the butterfly possessed by Ola? ”
One of the things that Sistemm could think of that was related to the druids was the golden acorn he ate, which was extremely rare, and perhaps even if he ate the druids, he would have the means to sense it.
The second is the remnant of the Glacial Lord Aura, who is responsible for cutting down all the oak trees in the Lilt Forest, and the feud with the old druid Medland, it makes sense for the druid and the elves to come to find Aura.
What to do?
Sistum's brain was racing, and it was clearly not wise to inform Shava that she was hostile to the two creatures.
Not to mention whether Shava can defeat these two creatures, even if Shava succeeds in killing the druid and the elves, there will definitely be more elves or druids who will come to trouble him in the future.
Systham thought as he changed the direction of his flight.
As Sistemm changed direction and flew, the druid and the other elven figure paused visibly before heading towards Sistham's direction.
A few minutes later, Heatham, who had changed direction in succession, confirmed that the target of the two figures was him.
However, the speed at which the two figures pursued him was not very fast, and even if Systm did not fly with all his strength, they gradually threw the two figures away.
In a hurry, Sistham had already made a decision to lure the druids and elves to a gnolling village two hundred kilometers away.
The gnolls and elves had just gone through a war, and it was clearly impossible to let these two hostile creatures roam the Warren Plains.
And Sisstem, who continued to fly, gradually felt something strange, and although his [intuition] was uneasy, the feeling of uneasiness was strange.
There was a life-threatening feeling, but more of a feeling that was inexplicable.
An hour later, after pulling the druids five kilometers away from the elves, it was almost impossible for Systham to see the figures in the thick rain.
The druids and elves seem to have given up on their pursuit of Sistem, and have stopped.
And Systham finally looked for him for what these two figures were looking for.
Sistum's tentacles heard an inexplicable and strange word coming from afar, an elven language that Sistemm couldn't understand at all.
After the words were spoken, the two figures left, seemingly returning to the Lierte Forest.
The Elven language from the druids was calm and kind, and although it was unintelligible, Sistemm also roughly deduced the meaning of the words.
Perhaps because he had obtained the incomplete inheritance of the Golden Acorn, he was mistaken as a druid who flew as a bird.
So seeing that he didn't want to show his face, he didn't force it, but just showed some kindness to him and left.
