Chapter 549: Old Ma's Ambition (Medium)

When the moon was on the willows, Lucius Malfoy returned home.

By this time, Draco Malfoy and his mother had finished their dinner and had just come out of the dining room.

After greeting his wife, the old horse said to his son, "Draco, change your clothes and come with me." โ€

The old horse walked straight to his room, and Draco looked at his mother, who nodded slightly.

There was a "pop", and the old horse and the pony appeared in a wide grassland, and in front of them was a fence wall and an iron gate that could not be seen in the dark night, and a dim light bulb illuminated the place near the iron gate.

The old horse took out a key and opened the lock on the iron door like a Muggle, and walked in with Draco.

Draco looked around curiously, but in the darkness of the night, he could only tell that it was a cattle ranch from the distant lighted buildings, a long house, and the smell of cow dung in the breeze.

Just as Draco was about to pull out his wand for illumination, his hand touched the wand when his father held it down.

"Don't use magic here, don't talk nonsense later." The old horse whispered to his son.

As the father and son approached the lighted building, there was a dog barking from the other side of the building, and then two black backs rushed out of the shadows next to the house, and finally were pulled by the leash.

The barking of the dog caught the attention of the people in the house, and a middle-aged man with a slightly lame leg appeared in front of the door with a double-barreled shotgun.

"Are you here? Mr. Steele? The middle-aged man in front of the door shouted to Malfoy and his son.

"Hey, Spike, it's me!" The old horse replied loudly.

As Malfoy and his son reached the door of the house, the man known as Spike put aside his shotgun and went up to hug him.

"Old man, why didn't you tell me in advance when you came back, did you have dinner?" After letting go of the pony, Spike said, "I heard Tom and Jerry screaming differently than usual, and I thought you were back." โ€

"So you're coming to meet me with a shotgun?" The old horse said to Spike with a smile.

Spike laughs awkwardly as he is debunked, and turns the conversation to a bewildered Draco next to him.

"This is Clark, right?" Spike held out his right hand to Draco.

After Draco shook hands with the other party in confusion, the old horse said to Spike, "I've brought Clark here for the past two days, this is the first time he's been here, I'll take him back first." โ€

After saying goodbye to Spike, Draco was taken by the old horse to another small automatic building a few dozen meters away before he could recover from his senses.

After the old horse skillfully opened the door and turned on the lights, Draco found that the building was a traditional set of legendary Muggle families, as well as household appliances such as telephones, lights, air conditioners, televisions, and speakers.

When Draco came to his senses, he found that he had been taken upstairs by his father to his study.

Without waiting for Draco to ask, the old pony, who was on the couch, said to him, "Here, my name is Mike Steele, a former captain in the U.S. Navy, who bought this cattle ranch in Northern Ireland after retiring in 1994, but usually conducts business activities between the United States and the United Kingdom. Spike and his son Tek, they were Muggles I hired to manage the cattle farm. โ€

Finally, the old horse asked Draco solemnly, "Do you know what that means?" โ€

Draco lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then looked up and said with a twisted expression, "Did you raise other women here?" โ€

(โ•ฏโ€ตโ–กโ€ฒ)โ•ฏโ€œโ€œโ”ปโ”โ”ปโ˜†)>โ—‹<)

At that moment just now, Lao Ma had the idea of strangling this thing to death and having another one.

"Isn't it?" Draco rubbed his face and asked, "It's full of Muggles, and no one expected wizards to come to a place like this stinking place, which is just the right thing to ensure that Mother won't find out." โ€

Lao Ma suddenly realized that what his son said was very reasonable, maybe he could try it when he had the opportunity.

"I have nothing to do at home, and read less messy books!" The old horse said angrily, "If you think so, then why did I bring you here?" โ€

Draco said "uh" and stopped talking.

"This is the place where you live in seclusion as a survivor of the Malfoy family in case something happens." The old horse said to Draco solemnly, "This place is only known to you and you, and your mother knows that I have prepared such a place for you, but she thinks this place is in the Alps. โ€

Draco was taken aback by the sudden news, and he heard something unpleasant in his father's words.

Draco's face turned paler at the thought that he might be with the cow for the rest of his life.

"The main thing that brought you here today is not to tell you this." The old horse continued to say to Draco, "Do you have any plans for your future?" โ€

Draco had been at home since he left Hogwarts and rarely went out, and many times he didn't know what he was going to do.

Seeing his son shaking his head in confusion, Lao Ma sighed, and then said, "I plan to send you to the United States." โ€

Hearing his father's intentions, Draco's eyes lit up as he asked, "Is it going to Ilvermorny?" โ€

Draco's first thought was the Ilvermorny girl he had met in the summer, named Lucy. Although he has written several letters in the past few months, he has not replied to any of them, which makes him very sad. He thought that Lucy's grandfather and Dumbledore were good friends, and he played an important role in Dumbledore's death, so it was normal for Lucy's grandfather to refuse Lucy's association with him.

However, if he could show up at Ilvermorny and Lucy, maybe things would change!

Thinking of this, Draco's breathing intensified.

At that moment, the old horse's words kicked Draco into the abyss.

"You didn't go to Ilvermorny in America, you went to a Muggle university. I've asked the Kakir family to help donate a large sum of money to Yale University, which bought you a letter of acceptance at Yale. You go to the U.S. next August, where you'll study economics and law. โ€

"By the way, Scamander doesn't have any granddaughters, and there's not a girl named Lucy in the Scamander family. When Rolf Scamander came to England in the summer, he came to attend the Weasley wedding. And don't you think there's something missing in that day's report? โ€

Looking at his son's face gradually turning pale, Lao Ma felt a little relieved.
