The middle-aged man nodded slightly, flicked his fingers to erase the lines on the ground, and started painting again. This time he drew a man standing with his hands down, the meaning of which no longer needs to be explained, and then in front of this "man", he delicately drew an arc from the top to the bottom and to the side with the branches.

This arc brought the thought of the gods, and Baoyu seemed to see a person holding a ritual ceremony, pouring wine to the ground, and the trajectory of the wine in the air formed that pattern. Baoyu smiled and nodded: "You still draw 'li', the same scene, you use different runes to symbolize, but they all convey the same meaning." ”

The middle-aged man explained: "Etiquette is the text of reason, what I just demonstrated to you is the various changes of totem runes in this world, and the last one is the simplest, and you can draw it in a few clicks." ...... Kid, have another drink, and we'll play. ”

The two of them each took a glass of wine from Gong Yuan's hand and drank it all, and the middle-aged man drew horizontal and vertical lines on the ground, but they formed a strange totem. When Baoyu saw these lines, what appeared in his mind was the stone that had been cut open by the middle-aged man just now. This is because the idea of the god painted on the ground on the branch is very simple, and it is the texture that is revealed inside the stone after it is cut.

The middle-aged man stopped the branch and asked, "Child, what is this word?"

This is the first time that the middle-aged man used the name "word", in Baoyu's previous concept, "word" is a syllable in the language, but the middle-aged man used runes to draw the "word", and different meanings have different ways to draw. Baoyu nodded and replied: "This should be the word 'Li', but it is not the word 'Li' of the ritual." ”

The middle-aged man just said that "etiquette is the text of reason", so looking at these totem-like runes he drew on the ground, can it also mean "words are words"? Baoyu has never played such a fun game, and the more he played, the more interesting he became.

The middle-aged man smoothed out the lines on the ground with his air mana, and when the branches fell again, the lines were very simple, only outlining the left and right lines, with the idea of the gods. Before Baoyu could ask, he looked at the field next to him and replied, "This is a 'person', you are painting a person working in the field." If you want to ask what kind of word it is, if it is a word, it is a 'person' word. ”

The middle-aged man did not speak, erased the lines on the ground and continued to paint, this time he drew a man standing upright with open hands, and drew a straight line at the foot of the person, representing the earth. Gong Yuan suddenly spoke: "I know, Mr. is painting a king, a king on the earth, this is the word 'king', the king of my father." ”

If you want to interpret the idea of the gods clearly and unhindered, you must have at least four realms of cultivation, and it is more reluctant to cultivate below the three realms. But the idea of the gods of those pictures and texts given by the middle-aged man is very simple and does not hurt people, even ordinary people can vaguely sense it in their minds, but it is not as clear as Baoyu.

The middle-aged man glanced at Gong Yuan and said: "You are not wrong about this word, but you should not call your father the father, but the father, he is only the king of the Xiangmu country, and there is no king Dabayuan." If you inadvertently always use this name, the rest of the four kingdoms of Ba Yuan will know about your father's petty ambition. ”

Wang Dabayuan is actually just a little ambition, this middle-aged man has such a big breath, Gong Yuan should not dare to answer randomly. Then the middle-aged man pointed at Baoyu again and said, "You also have a branch in your hand, you can draw it." ”

Baoyu scratched the back of her head and said in embarrassment, "Sir, I don't have the ability of yours. ...... If you want to draw words on the ground like you, for words, you must have at least seven realms of cultivation. ”

The middle-aged man glared and said, "Who said that? Since you are a monk of Ba Yuan, haven't you seen the totem of Ba Yuan? Then draw it for me to see!"

Baoyu is of course familiar with the totem mark of Pakistan, and the front of his national industrial token is engraved, which almost everyone knows in this Ba Yuan. The totem that symbolizes Pakistan looks like a big snake, but its image has a standard appearance, and now the five countries of Pakistan are all marked by this totem, although there are slight differences but basically the same, Baoyu drew it on the ground.

Looking at the totemic symbol symbolizing Pakistan, the middle-aged man asked, "If it also represents a word, what should it be?"

Baoyu replied: "The ancestor of Ba claimed to be a descendant of Emperor Taihao, and it is said that the tribe of Emperor Taihao used snakes as totems. The symbol of Pakistan also evolved from a large snake, and it has a fixed way of drawing. If you say what kind of character this is, then it is a 'Ba' character, which not only represents the Xiangmuro country, but also represents the five countries of Ba Yuan and the country of Pa back then, and also represents the entire Ba Yuan. ”

The middle-aged man asked again: "The 'Ba' character you draw, does it have the idea of a god?"

Baoyu replied, "No, but everyone knows it and knows what it means." Speaking of this, it was as if he had opened a glimpse in the chaos, and he suddenly understood what the middle-aged man meant, and nodded again, "I see!"

The middle-aged man smiled with satisfaction: "Isn't it fun?"

Baoyu: "It's fun!"

Middle-aged man: "Then you can continue to play, I'll watch while drinking." ”

Baoyu picked up his branch and ate the meat on the skewers, and as he ate it, he wondered what he was going to draw. When the meat was finished, he reached out and smoothed the ground, first drawing a vertical and then diagonally crossing. This pattern he had seen on the walled wall of Lu Village, which was an embellishment of the hunting scene and represented the trees growing on the mountain.

Gong Yuan muttered, "What is this?"

The monkey replied: "This is a tree, I have traveled the world with my husband, and I have seen it in many rock paintings of my ancestors, on the rune inscriptions of the past dynasties, and on the patterns of many utensils. ”

Baoyu nodded and said, "Yes, I drew a tree." In fact, according to Mr. Wang, this is not just a painting, but a kind of literature. Then he drew a circle under the tree and made a few strokes under the circle. The circle became a small head, with a small body with open arms underneath, a bit like a baby in swaddling clothes.

Gong Yuan wondered, "What is this, a child in the mountains?"

The middle-aged man drank wine and pointed to a budding tree not far away and said, "This is the word 'Li'." Li Shuzhi Li, right?" he was probably afraid that these juniors would not understand, and there was a divine thought in his voice.

At that time, the plum tree was not only used to refer to a specific type of tree, but also to the word "plum" to mean a tree, which meant that it bloomed and fruited in spring. Such fruit trees are all known as plums in a broad sense. Later, the language became richer, and Li sometimes referred specifically to a fruit tree that produced round deep red fruits.

In the languages of the Pakistan countries, Li, Li, and Li are all the same pronunciation, and different meanings are expressed in different language combinations. But it is also often confused. When people mention "li", it sometimes refers to the process of flowering and fruiting of trees, symbolizing the law of development of things and the final result, and its meaning is similar to "li", in short, it needs to be well understood.

Baoyu praised sincerely: "Mr. guessed accurately, what I want to draw is a 'Li' character." The gentleman had just drawn the words 'li' and 'li', and I followed his train of thought and drew the word, and the gentleman recognized it at a glance. ”

The middle-aged man looked at Baoyu with a very serious look. Unconsciously sat up straight, and asked, "Have you ever seen this kind of rune before?"

Baoyu replied honestly: "I've seen rock paintings like that with trees, but this 'Li' character is something I just drawn, and it's the first time I've seen it." ”

The middle-aged man couldn't help but nod again and again: "This word can be the god of words, and it can be the text of words." I have traveled all over the world to study the rune totems of the past dynasties, and to observe the traces of birds and beasts in the world, and it is the first time I have seen someone draw the word 'Li'. Thank you, little sir, I toast you!"

Gong Yuan, who was in a daze, hurriedly poured wine for the two, and the middle-aged man knelt on the ground and held a glass with both hands. Very formal and solemn toast. Baoyu hurriedly returned the salute: "Sir, you don't have to thank me, didn't you just teach me to play?"

The middle-aged man drank all the wine in the cup and said, "Be grateful, be grateful...... What other words can you draw, little sir?"

Baoyu smiled bitterly: "You ask so." I was also a little confused, and I didn't know what else to draw. ”

The middle-aged man's eyes changed, and he actually showed an eager light, and leaned forward in an inducing tone and said, "What are you seeking in your cultivation, and what kind of mood do you have when you come here to see this situation and this scene?"

Baoyu turned his head to look to the side, and found that Xiao Tian was staring at the runes on the ground with his dog's head stretched out, and he erased the runes of Fang Cai with his hand, and drew a small head on the ground, symbolizing the head or thinking, and after thinking about it, he added a pinch of hair to it to show the bun, indicating that this is a person's head and not a dog's head.

Then he drew a few more creases around his head, like an intersection. The middle-aged man nodded and muttered, "Well, this is a person standing at the intersection thinking - where should he go?"

Baoyu then drew another foot under the rune, and made a few strokes. The middle-aged man frowned and asked, "What kind of characters are you drawing?"

Baoyu replied with a smile: "Answering what Mr. asked just now, this is the word 'Dao'. ”

The wine glass in the middle-aged man's hand stopped, and he looked at it with his mouth open for a long time, and then he suddenly came back to his senses and said: "I'm afraid that in this world, today is the first time that someone has drawn this 'Dao' character." What I just said was 'propriety' and 'reason', but you drew 'Tao', which includes propriety and reason, thinking and seeking, action and evidence. Mr. Gaoming, I'll give you another drink!"

He raised his glass above his eyebrows and leaned over to toast it. Baoyu returned the salute and drank it all together, looked at the rune drawn on the ground, thought about it and added a few more strokes to the top, and the painting looked like a hand.

The middle-aged man smiled and said, "You can just draw a foot underneath, and I can understand what it means, why do you need to add a hand on it?"

Baoyu replied: "In the painting, it is a person walking on the road, and I add a hand in front of it to signify guidance, guidance, and also symbolize the meaning of inheritance." ...... Baoyu was excited and had fun, and without waiting for the middle-aged man to find him, he began to take the initiative to find the other party to drink.

The middle-aged man took a glass of wine in his left hand, flicked his fingers to the ground again, and did not erase all the runes on the ground, but only erased the top hand and the head in the middle of the intersection, and then added a few strokes to it with his own branch.

Baoyu's eyes seemed to see a long pole with a mane tied to it, which was the knot that the messenger inserted into the car. Without waiting for the middle-aged man to ask, he hurriedly replied: "You mean that someone is in a hurry, so this word can be either 'rushing' or 'chasing'." ”

The middle-aged man laughed and said: "Yes, yes, it's true, the same word we say can be different words, so the same kind of text can also express many meanings." ...... Come on, come on, let's continue to drink. Don't be stunned, keep eating meat!"

Baoyu also laughed, after all, a child of his age is still fun, let alone encountering such a fun thing today. The monkey watched and ate the meat with a very focused expression, and Xiaotian watched while eating the meat with a very curious expression. Only Gong Yuan felt bored, and it was late at night, so she couldn't help but yawn.

The middle-aged man turned his head and said, "Gong Yuan, why are you impatient with such an interesting thing?"

Gong Yuan hurriedly replied, "No, I just feel a little sleepy." Then he explained, "Mr. Fang Cai is talking about etiquette, why is he talking about it, and he is drawing runes on the ground?"

Middle-aged man: "Your father wants you to worship under my door, and my rune magic power is unique in the world, you have such a good opportunity, why don't you take it seriously?"

Gong Yuan didn't dare to talk back, so she had to explain again: "I am indeed looking at the talisman drawn by Mr. Fang Cai, but the talisman drawn by Mr. Xiao later does not have any magical means, it is similar to the petroglyphs in the mountains, but it has a different meaning and can refer to the text in the endorsement, so I am a little sleepy." ”

Baoyu interjected: "Mr.'s supernatural cultivation is indeed amazing, and he is a good teacher who is difficult to find in the world!"

The middle-aged man pointed at the monkey and said, "He is my clansman, my family, and my heir." You must be wondering, why didn't he cultivate himself, and why did I take him with me?"

Baoyu: "I did think it was a little strange just now, please give me advice." ”

The middle-aged man asked, "Child, did your master teach you the secret method of supernatural powers?"

Baoyu shook his head and said, "No, it's just telling me about the mysteries of the layer-by-layer cultivation realm." ”

This answer stunned the middle-aged man, and he was stunned for a long time before he said: "I just want to say that your master taught you to cultivate, and what you teach cannot be just a secret magic power. Since you answered so, then I'll just ask. Why can one be called a true master of the world if he has the cultivation of the Six Realms? If he really fights the Fa, he will definitely be able to fight against a Five Realm cultivator?"

Baoyu replied: "In most cases, you should be able to fight, after all, the cultivation realm is higher. But this doesn't have to be, it depends on other circumstances. ”

The middle-aged man: "You are talking nonsense! Just this line of separation, maybe the supernatural power and mana are not much worse, what is the difference?"

Baoyu replied: "Inheritance! The cultivation of the Six Realms is the skill of divine thoughts, and you can leave your knowledge of all things and all kinds of magical powers to the descendants with your mind. What you have seen and learned in your life has been condensed into the essence and can leave a truly complete heritage. There are many secret methods in cultivation, and it is difficult to pass them on without the Divine Mind Heart Seal, and future generations have to explore it from scratch. ”

The middle-aged man took the cup and said, "I have a great wish, so that all the people in the world can have the merits of the Six Realms." ”

Baoyu's drunken spirit was almost awakened by this sentence, and said in horror: "How is this possible!"

The middle-aged man muttered, "What I mean is not what you think is the cultivation of the Six Realms. The monkey is still young, and among my nephews and nephews, he is the only one who has not yet reached the initial realm and has been able to cultivate, but I only take him with me when I travel the world. Mortals in the world do not have supernatural powers, and it is even more difficult for them to inherit what they have learned in their lives, but they can inherit the principles of everything and open up endless wisdom in another way. ”

Hearing this, Baoyu's wine woke up in an instant, and he broke out in a cold sweat. He looked at the two-foot square ground in front of him, and understood what this middle-aged man wanted to do? This person wants to sort out and learn from the totem runes in the world since ancient times, and summarize and create a real text, that is, to make words!

A rune drawn by a master of the Seven Realms or above can give it the idea of a god. Those who have the cultivation of the Four Realms can interpret it clearly and unhindered, and ordinary people may have a very hazy understanding, but they can also associate and experience.

However, this gentleman wanted to create a special kind of rune that could be drawn and explained with the idea of the gods, or without the idea of the gods, which in itself represented a certain meaning and corresponded to the language used by the people. It is like the shape of things, the meaning of things, and the world can learn, master and pass it on.

In fact, some such "words" have appeared, such as "ba", but people have not yet consciously realized its meaning. Some are being created, such as the "rites" and "principles" painted by middle-aged people. And Baoyu understood the intention of the middle-aged man, so he drew "Li" and "Dao".

It can record everything in the world, pass it on from generation to generation, and become richer and richer in the process. Isn't this equivalent to the fact that everyone in the world can possess the power of the Six Realms? This is not the realm of supernatural powers in cultivation, but it has the same important significance.
