"Chapter 367: Déjà vu White Bone"

It was dim, there was no light, and it was desolate.

If there is any impression of this world, I am afraid that only these words can describe it.

I looked up and looked at the sky, only to see a gray patch, without a ray of sunlight. Looking at the surrounding ground, it is all rough gray sand and gravel land, spreading for hundreds of miles, and only a few dry weeds are struggling to survive in this sunless environment, giving people a very oppressive feeling.

"This is not our country, we are much more beautiful than this."

The tall, burly mercenary skeleton guard, armed with a steel sword and shield, took a closer look at the surroundings before finally shaking his head disdainfully.

After being taught by the Night Witch, I was able to understand his thoughts. Although the continent, including the earth, has always had a bad impression of undead creatures like skeletons, believing that they are filthy and evil, and live in the darkest places, in fact, the undead creatures in the tribal world have their own civilization and have a good living environment. In the cloudy realm of the dead, these skeletons not only cultivate and build like ordinary people, but even have their own artistic style and etiquette culture. So even in the eyes of these skeleton guards, this world is an absolutely barren place.

I couldn't see the edge of the world, it seemed that it was much bigger than I thought. The quest prompt allowed me to explore the world, but this weird and barren world could only be entered by afterlife creatures like skeletons, not even flying creatures like the undead. Without an eye in the air, we would have to explore the world on foot. Fortunately, I brought with me all the skeletons with wisdom in the army, and there were more than two hundred. I also brought two Skeleton Giants with me as high-level combat power. With this powerful skeleton force with me, I'm still relatively comfortable exploring this place.

"Let's go."

I looked at the desolate sight in my telescope and waved at them.

......

I brought my pocket watch, and although I don't know if there is anything special about the time and space in this world, according to the time on the pocket watch, we have been walking for an hour and a half. But at first glance, the scene did not change at all, and no creatures appeared. And one of the Skull Guards told me that, based on the marks he had made, we probably circled back to a location near where we started.

In a place like this, where there are no waymen, it's easy to get lost. And for exploration, getting lost is also very fatal. I don't want to spend a whole day exploring and end up spinning in circles.

But we still came up with a way, we made marks and determined the direction with some skeletons. Although this world is very strange, fortunately, there are also some faint magnetic field reactions. We don't have a compass, but one of the ribs of a skull guard is made of magnets, and with the help of this bone and his sense of his body, we can finally find our way.

I don't know how many kilometers we've walked, my feet are sore anyway. My current physical fitness is that of a quasi-combat master, and I can feel tired, I'm afraid it's no less than fifty kilometers. I walked fast, like a long-distance runner. If it weren't for these tireless skeletons following me, I'm afraid even the barbarians would have been left behind by me.

But we did see something new, not rotten skeletons, to be exact. They walked aimlessly in the wilderness, holding all sorts of rusty weapons in their hands, and all but a few pieces of shriveled flesh remained. Compared to our skeletal soldiers, they are simply beggars.

I asked my skeletons to lean over with their weapons, and they didn't look friendly. To my surprise, though, they did see us, and made some weird noises with their throats and vocal cords, which weren't rotten. But even our skeleton guards couldn't understand it. They didn't seem to pay much attention to us, they let out those hoarse roars, and walked on the empty sand, some of the toe bones had been worn off, but they didn't seem to care, just like the way they treated us.

I'm curious about these skeletons, as they may well be the key to this mission. They don't seem to have thought about communicating with us, and we have no reason to attack them. Although these skeletons are very tattered, there are many of them, and there are two or three of them every ten meters in the nearby wilderness, and if they rush together, we will not be in a good position.

I continued with my troops, hoping to find some clues, or some guys who could communicate. We walked past these skeletons, and somehow, on some of the skeletons that were fully dressed, I felt a little déjà vu.

We walked about five kilometers and there were still a large number of skeletons, but they seemed to be in a much better situation than the skeletons before us. Their bones are relatively clean, there are some parts of their bodies that have not yet rotted, and there are even some clothes stuck to them. The skeletons weren't wandering aimlessly like the skeletons before them, some of the skeletons in armor moved slowly at the front of the group, while the rest followed closely behind them, rusty weapons in their hands, and some unintelligible words in their mouths. I noticed the pattern on the armor worn by the leading skeletons, which was a vague crown, and some patterns and text. I was standing in the distance and it was hard to make out what it looked like, but I didn't understand what that meant.

These skeletons don't seem to feel much when they see us, but I've noticed that they seem to be very sensitive to things that can fly in the sky, and when we throw something in the air, they get into a mess, their weapons stabbing upwards and their mouths roaring with a little anger.

Desperately moving forward, I saw some hunter-like fellows, with bows that had broken strings in their hands, and often with arrows stuck in their bodies. Judging by the shape of the arrows and the depth of their insertion, they are very similar to those created by the Sisters Archers of the Tribal World.

I also saw some dried corpses wearing priests' robes, and I recognized the pattern on the robes, which were the light thorns of the Holy See of Light, so I was even more puzzled, how could the priests of the Holy See of Light appear here? But in spite of their high wisdom and knowledge, they could not communicate with us, but only recited prayer-like things by themselves, and wandered in the wilderness with the rest of the clergy.

I became more and more confused, and I felt a little uneasy. The skeletons we saw afterwards brought my anxiety to the top.

They were similar to the soldier skeletons before them, and they roamed in groups under the leadership of their leader. But they seemed to go berserk at the sight of us, and I saw the pattern on their armor and worn banner, which was an oak tree, and a knight on horseback looking up from under the oak tree.

The army of the Subic Kingdom!
