Chapter Eighty-Three: Miller's Demons

The biggest problem for the Pacers on the court is not that they can't defend themselves, but that they can't attack.

After the inside and outside lines were cut off, the Pacers struggled.

Although Isaiah Thomas adjusted his strategy in the second half, allowing O'Neal Jr. to pull out the top arc to receive the ball. O'Neal Jr.'s footwork and flexibility are very suitable for holding the ball in the high post and being able to shoot suddenly. After pulling out to catch the ball, O'Neal Jr.'s problem of not getting the ball was solved, but the offensive efficiency was still not high.

Little O'Neill thought aggrievedly that Rodman was not specially sent by God to restrain him. Footwork, flexibility and strength, Rodman is stronger, and O'Neal Jr. is guarded hard.

The strongest point was also hampered, and the Pacers quickly lost, losing the first round of the series. Reggie Miller's big words didn't come true, and the Wizards beat them with ease throughout the game, not at all as hard as the regular season.

Two days later, in Game 2, still at the MCI arena, the Wizards defeated the visiting Pacers 130-95.

In this game, Barkley scored 36 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 14 of 14 from the field, and if it wasn't for Hu Qingniu pressing him to the bench half a quarter early in the fourth quarter, he could have played even more crazy.

After losing two away games in Washington, the Pacers returned to Indiana in low morale. This is their home turf, and they no longer have to be besieged by 10,000 people, and they still have hope.

Three days later, in Game 3 of the Wizards-Pacers series, the Wizards were clearly feeling more pressure.

Returning to the home court is a plus for the Pacers, and the effect of everyone working a little bit harder is to make the team more integrated and cohesive. The most obvious manifestation is that O'Neill Jr. and Artay have picked up.

Altai scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals, and O'Neal Jr. also had 26 points and 7 rebounds.

But the Pacers still lost in the face of the Wizards' strong overall strength. But this time the gap was not that big, and the Wizards didn't pull the gap away until the third quarter to win 122-108.

The Pacers have one foot on the edge of the cliff, whether they can steal a victory and avoid being swept away.

Will Reggie Miller be able to step up and prove that he's not fully old enough to lead the Pacers to even the last shred of dignity.

Miller's life is a fascinating basketball story, he grew up with polio, he took his sister as a basketball role model, and he fought Jordan East to the point where he is now tired.

Whether or not he has reached the end of his basketball career, Miller needs to think about himself. Miller averaged 8 points per game in the first three games, shooting only 30% from the field, and perhaps this last chance for redemption is also a flash in the pan.

Three days later, the final showdown, Pacers vs Wizards, began.

---

Before the start of the game, the NBA officially announced that the Wizards' Wes Unseld was named the best general manager of the season. A wave of magical manipulation in the middle of the season created the current Galaxy of the Wizards, and the team jumped from the bottom team in the East to the first place in the league.

Also announced is the season's Most Improved Player of the Season, Gilbert Arenas from the Golden State Warriors, an outside beast from the second round.

---

Hu Qingniu didn't set up anything special before the game today, he only told the players one thing, and that was to hold on. The strength of the Wizards team is superior overall, and what needs to be done now is to stabilize and not make too many mistakes and be beaten by the opponent to play an offensive climax.

As soon as they came up today, the Pacers showed the posture of a desperate hungry tiger, fighting for the floor ball, increasing the rotation speed and extending the delay.

Unfortunately, there are not many players who can exert force on the offensive end, and the Pacers' offense is still tepid. Jordan, Penny, Hill and others relied on strong field control to control the pace of the game to an even speed.

Whenever a Pacers player rushed to the ball handler, the Wizards ball handler was able to pass the ball to his teammates steadily, and the game subtly fell into the rhythm of the Wizards.

At the end of the first three quarters, the Pacers trailed by 13 points at 78:91, with Reggie Miller leading the way and the rest of the players out of breath.

They fought hard and were tired, but at least there was hope of victory, so there was not the same desperate atmosphere in the team as in the previous games.

A few minutes later, when they came back on the court, it was Miller facing Jordan, and the famous pair of rivals stopped a stalemate in the corner outside the three-point line.

Looking at Miller's slightly trembling hands, Jordan smiled in his heart and said, "Great Reggie Miller, what's wrong with you, is the shooter's hand shaking?"

Miller's eyes flashed with a gleam, he was indeed very nervous and very tired, and when he got older, he understood a truth, his time in the NBA was running out, and the championship competition would be one less chance every year.

But it has also become a burden in Miller's heart, a nightmare, and even dreams are often awakened.

Jordan's words woke him up, how could the shooter even shake his own hands. He was blinded by his desire to win the championship, basketball is actually a sport that needs to stick to his heart, and without his heart, he will lose his self-confidence instinct as a shooter.

"Thank you, Michael!" Miller suddenly smiled, and Jordan was a little puzzled by this sentence.

But then, Miller catches the ball from beyond the three-point line, and in this series, he usually moves the ball straight away, unless Jordan is too far away.

But even if it is a large vacancy, Miller's shooting percentage is less than 3 percent.

Just when Jordan thought that Miller was about to play the ball, Miller's resolute eyes glanced over and hit Jordan's eyes, what kind of decisive gaze it was.

Miller expertly raised his hand, swiftly and standardizing, as he had done a million times before!

Jordan was unprepared and could only watch Miller make a move.

The ball took off from Jordan's head, like a cheerful elf finally escaping from its owner's grasp and flying to the final finish line ahead.

Finally, it's close, and the ball goes in!

Miller raised his hands and pointed to the sky, his first three-pointer of the game!

Stand up! It's as if welcoming their king back!

Hu Qingniu stood alone on the sidelines, feeling the hot atmosphere of the audience, and muttered to himself.

"The real game may have just begun."

Hu Qingniu's words became a prophecy, and in the next game, the Pacers took the initiative because they had a shooter to open the situation.

Miller forced three-pointers at 45-degree angles on both sides one after another, and when it came to three-point shooting, Curry was really a schoolboy when Miller did this in the NBA.

Jordan was in the corner of the court, gasping for breath, and Miller's sudden continuous running and strong shooting as if he had changed his personality also tired him a lot.
