Chapter 41: Hellfire Attack and Defense (Part II)

"Frame your line, archers, stop them!"

At the end of the passage, the furious roar of the orcs. Spiked stakes were lifted up the hallway to stop the Coalition Knights' charge. At the same time, the orc commander brought in the crossbowmen on the periphery of the Hellfire Fortress to block the onslaught of the Alliance's heavy armor forces.

On this side of the corridor, Ares had dismounted, pulled out the Titan steel shield from the saddle, and held the Ember Messenger in one hand, commanding his troops to begin the next round of attacks.

Knights in silver armor are receiving blessings from priests and paladins, thieves are smearing poison on their blades, and mages are sitting on the ground drinking potions to replenish their mana.

"Sylvanas, let's not be separated......"

"I mean let's not fight separately......"

The Allies were nervous about preparing for battle, but Ares suddenly spoke nervously to the Windranger. Sylvanas looked stunned at first, then quickly recovered from his joy, and the man in front of him meant the second half of the sentence......

She nodded, and continued to sharpen the dagger in her hand in silence, the silver blade that was only the length of her palm.

After about ten minutes of intense preparation, Ares gave the order to attack. At this time, the heavily armed shield-wielding warriors in the front row had all received the divine blessings of the priests and paladins, and their bodies were filled with endless stamina. Led by Mogrian, all the hoplites, knights of the Silver Hand Knights, advanced towards the depths of the Hellfire Fortress......

The orcs rained down quickly, however, the prepared paladins and alliance warriors raised their large shields above their heads and charged in small steps.

The orc's rockets hit the big thick shield with a ticking sound.

"Charge, for the Alliance!"

Ares roared, his steps getting faster and faster, a golden divine light rising from his body and armor again, and the Titan's steel shield was already filled with enemy arrows, but the paladin still looked back.

Sylvanas and Weensa's ranger units provided long-range support to the Knights in the rear, their arrows and orc arrows slashing through each other in the air, tearing through the air as orc warriors fell. They weren't good archers and crossbowmen in the first place, but they just knew how to use ranged weapons, and they were better at melee combat.

As Ares and the paladin's forces approached, the orcs' roars grew louder. It's like an angry bull, waiting for the moment of bloody fighting.

Facing the sharp stakes, the warriors of the knights rushed forward, the heavy shield met the orc's thick battle axe, and the human heavy armor met the orc war hammer, at this moment, on the entire battle line, the metal collided with a violent sound, Ares used the steel shield to take the war hammer of an orc warrior in front of him, and the power transmitted from the shield instantly made a whole arm numb, however, regardless of the trembling in his hand, Ares swung his big sword violently, and slashed at the orc warrior in front of him.

The orc infantry raised their warhammers to block, however, the hanging ash bringer used its powerful divine energy to slash the orc's warhammer with a single sword, and the red-skinned evil orc warrior watched in horror as the greatsword above his head fell vertically, and he barely had time to retreat before his head was split open by the shining greatsword.

Brains and blood splattered out, and flowers flowed all over the ground.

Another orc slashed with an axe, but the Ember Bringer stabbed him head-on, stabbing him through the abdomen with a flaming greatsword before the axe could fall. With a roar of pain, Ares drew his sword and smashed his face with the shield in his hand. Splashes of blood flew in the air, staining the paladin's breastplate red.

Behind him, a raging orc warrior roared and rushed forward, but just as Ares turned back to meet him, an elven arrow pierced his neck, clutching the pierced throat, and the orc stepped into the air and fell. Not far away, a slender figure appeared at the end of Ares' line of sight.

Surrounded by the enemy, the coalition forces approached the center of the fortress. However, just when everyone thought they were winning, a huge monster suddenly appeared in front of them - a two-headed ogre! An ogre, to be exact. Ares knew of such a creature, but had never seen it, and today was the first time he had seen such a legendary evil creature. They were not creatures of nature, but monsters created by orc warlocks, and the first person to create such creatures was the orc warlock Guldan......

As the coalition warriors marvel at the size of the two-headed ogre, the fortress behemoth has begun to slaughter the invaders. Despite being a mage, the ogre doesn't seem to like spell-casting combat, preferring hand-to-hand combat, and its huge hand holds a flaming warhammer and swings it left and right, sweeping across the battlefield. With each blow, two or three Alliance warriors were knocked away, and even the strongest human infantry could not stand up to this terrifying behemoth, not even the orc infantry. As soon as the ogre appeared, even the orc warriors made a way for it to charge.

No amount of sturdy armor could withstand the trampling of this beast, Ares saw with his own eyes that not far in front of him an Alliance warrior was trampled by a cannibal mage, and when the beast raised his foot again, the Alliance warrior had turned into a pile of flesh and blood fragments, the armor was crushed and deformed, and thick flesh and blood were flowing out of the flattened armor......

"Sylvanas!"

Ares turned his head and shouted.

It could be seen that the Windranger had already bent his bow and arrows for the first time, and in the next second, a silver-white streamer flashed, and the elven arrow with magical power shot straight into the ogre's chest.

However, such an attack did not seem to mention anything to this giant beast. He first looked at his chest, and then, with an unhappy expression, pulled out the elven arrow stuck in his chest. A bloody hole appeared in the skin, and viscous blood was pouring out of the wound. But this injury is not worth mentioning at all for the two-headed cannibal mage. What's more, Sylvanas seems to have annoyed it......

The ogre roared in anger and ran towards the elf who had shot the cold arrow at him. The floor of the entire hall seemed to tremble......

"Hey! Burn the pen! ”

At the critical moment, Ares opened his throat and roared, and then threw his greatsword with all his might, and before the ogre could react, the Ashbringer spun at high speed and plunged into its thigh.

The two-headed ogre mage immediately wailed in pain, the flaming greatsword was in no way inferior to the war hammer in his hand, so powerful that it even bit deep into his thigh.

And in the midst of the other party's pain and wail, Ares had already rushed forward with a roar, threw away the battle shield, and struggled to pull out the ash bringer with both hands, and the blood of the ogre mage suddenly gushed out.

The two-headed ogre attacked, however, a second before the opponent's hammer fell, Ares had already spun around behind him, and the Ember Bringer hissed, and with another sword, stabbed its thick back muscles from behind......
