Chapter 25: Draw the sword
Early the next morning, the maiden, dressed in a clean and simple suit, came to a secluded house not far from the Storm Fortress, where the Earl of Richville was waiting for her, as had been agreed yesterday.
The Earl of Richville did not carry much of his retinue with him, except for the coachman outside the house and a guard at the door, and in the room, the Earl of Richville sat alone at a table with two black glasses of wine on it.
"Come and taste this," he said, raising his glass to the girl. "It's a Dalaran specialty, black wine."
Claudia stepped forward, took the glass, and asked, "Thank you for your hospitality, when are we going to the palace?" β
"Don't worry, Your Majesty is still practicing martial arts now, and it is estimated that it will take an hour to meet foreign guests."
Then why did you let me come here so early? Claudia wondered, but out of politeness, the girl didn't ask, and she raised her glass and took a sip.
"What do you do!"
Claudia jerked the cup down, jumped to the side, and looked angrily at the Earl of Richville, who reached out and pinched her back just before the girl was not paying attention.
The Earl of Richville did not answer her words, but raised his hand, recalled the elasticity just now, and laughed: "Sure enough, it is still a woman who has practiced martial arts who has a smell in her body." β
"Earl, please respect yourself." Claudia took a step back, her face flushed with anger.
The Earl of Richville laughed triumphantly, and his eyes stared wantonly at the girl's bumpy figure under her clothes, as if he wanted to strip the girl naked.
"Isn't it easy for me to ask to see the king to revitalize the family and make it easy for me to restore the glory of your family in Lordaeron, but even to make your family go further."
Claudia lowered her head, her face couldn't be seen clearly, and asked in a low voice: "So, last night you said that you could let me meet Your Majesty and the like, it was all a lie?" β
"No, no, no, how could I lie to such a lovely young lady as you, Your Majesty is indeed in the palace today, if you accept my friendship, I can go to Your Majesty to introduce you in a while."
"In fact, which nobles Your Majesty meets with are all screened by us in advance." The Earl of Richville pulled out from his bosom a piece of paper full of handwriting, which was the same application that Claudia had left at the State Office yesterday.
"Similarly, if you dare to refuse me, then I will have to tear up this piece of paper, and your little dream of revitalizing the family will also come to an end."
The blonde girl bowed her head in silence, her right fist already clenched.
The Earl of Richville's face suddenly showed a look of a girl, his eyes eagerly stared at the girl's full chest, and he laughed: "Now, while it's still early, don't be shy, take off your clothes." Isn't it normal for a qualified aristocratic girl to use her body as a bargaining chip? It's good to wait until you get used to it. β
Get used to it, just fine?
"Do you think women are just toys to satisfy your desires?" Claudia asked in a deep voice.
The Earl of Richville looked at her with interest: "Or else? β
"For people like you," Claudia looked up, her eyes full of anger, and raised her right hand alof.
"What are you going to do? Next to this is Stormstorm Fortress," Count Richville was startled, and he took a step back.
Claudia looked at him contemptuously: "Even a cowardly guy like you dare to beat my idea?" β
A drop of cold sweat dripped down the face of the Earl of Richville, and he hurriedly said: "What about your aristocratic cultivation, do you want to beat people like those uneducated fellows on the street?" β
"Then I'm really glad that I've never had a noble cultivation!"
Claudia slapped him in the face, and the Earl of Richville stumbled to the left, and he wailed loudly.
"Schubert, come here, your master needs you, this woman ......."
Claudia slammed her fist into his stomach, and the Earl of Richville's voice stopped abruptly, and he bent down in pain.
"Stop!" The guards at the door drew their swords and were about to rush over.
Claudia didn't look at the guards, her left hand pointed far away, and the girl's crisp voice sounded: "Kneel!" Sinner! β
The guard, Schubert, fell to his knees, his face full of remorse, and tears were about to flow from his eyes.
The Earl of Richville groaned in shock and pain on his face, "This is ...... What the...... Sorcery...... You did...... What"
"You'll find out in a minute!"
Claudia dragged him up by the collar.
"You won't ...... Yes...... Good end...... ...... of the fortress Guardsman...... All recognized...... I. β
An inexplicable look appeared on Claudia's face, and then she replied, "Thank you for teaching me a lesson about what I can rely on." β
Claudia picked up Schubert's fallen sword, and by the way, put the silver hand placed in the doorway to her back, and pointed the sword at the Earl of Richville.
"Get up and walk by yourself, I have a number of hands, you can still move!"
The Earl of Richville looked at her hatefully, and stood up with some difficulty, and when he went out, he shouted for the guards to save him.
As if reading his thoughts, Claudia said coldly, "I know what you're thinking, go to Stormstorm!" β
Storm Fortress? The Earl of Richville sneered in his heart, this is your own death.
Aristocrats?
As she walked out of the room, a memory suddenly appeared in the girl's mind, and that was many years ago.
The little girl with short blond hair was using the courage she had not easily mustered up to ask the white-haired man opposite:
"Why is it that Partris can learn to play, embroidery, and dance, but I can't?"
"Obviously, I've finished my martial arts homework today, and the tutors are here, why can't I go to class with Partris?"
The inch-haired man was silent for a while: "It seems that you are still being trained too lightly, and I will go and ask a scholar to teach you history and dwarven language in a few days." β
"Why, father, am I not your own daughter? Why should I learn this? Do you know what people out there are saying about your daughter right now? Speaking of this, she was about to shed tears when she was aggrieved.
"Don't cry! How did I educate you? Do you want to be beaten again? The white-haired man turned around and picked up the stick.
The tears still fell, the little girl closed her eyes and sobbed: "Fight, you won't feel sorry if you kill me anyway, it's enough to leave your sister with you." β
The stick didn't fall on her after all.
"Remember, I'll just explain it once."
"Performance, embroidery, and dancing are all things that a baroness should learn, and a baron never needs to know that!"
"Those things will make you weak, and other people will tear you to shreds!"
"No matter what time it is, all you can rely on is the sword in your hand!"
"Now whether you understand it or not, from my eyes, get out-!"
Father, Claudia sighed in her heart.
It wasn't until just now that she understood her father's original words, it turned out that it was never easy for a beautiful woman to survive in this world, and even more so a beautiful female lord.
All along, her father, Mentor Tairosus, and Jaime have protected her and sheltered her from the wind and rain, so she is not aware of the cruelty outside, and even has many naΓ―ve thoughts.
The Earl of Richville made her understand once and for all what it would be like to live like an ordinary noble lordess.
They will trample on her dignity and play with her like a soulless toy.
I'm glad I still have the sword in my hand so that you can face my existence squarely!
Claudia's momentum was constantly rising, and the depression in her heart for several days, along with the successive encounters since coming to Stormwind City, was completely detonated under the insult of Count Richville.
The two guards at the gate of the Storm Fortress, which is also where the palace is located, saw that the blonde girl from yesterday was walking away with a sword pointed at the court advisor, the Earl of Richville.
"Stop." The guard, who had spoken to Claudia yesterday, came over and whispered eagerly:
"Do you know what you're doing? He is the Earl of Richville, a court advisor, and it is a felony to hold a minister hostage, so why don't you hurry up and let the adults go?! β
The Earl of Richville exclaimed viciously, "What are you waiting for? Don't hurry up and arrest this woman, she's kidnapping! β
Claudia ignored the Earl of Richville, and apologized to the guard's low voice, "I'm sorry. β
"What did you say?" The guard was so frightened and angry that he drew his sword, and then Claudia quickly raised her foot and kicked him far away, and the guard was kicked to the grass at the door, and struggled a few times, but finally failed to get up.
Seeing his companion fall to the ground, another guard didn't care about his companion, hurriedly drew his sword, and rushed over.
Claudia clenched her fist in her left hand and threw a volley into the air, sending a fist phantom out of her fist and crashing into the guard.
Fist of Sanctions!
Rumble!
The guards fell unconscious.
"What the hell are you doing? What's in it for you to make things bigger? Let's go, I can explain to them for a moment that it was an accident. The Earl of Richville roared in fear, he had thought that the blonde girl would be restrained in the face of the guards, but she had beaten the two guards directly.
Things had been out of his grasp from the beginning, and now they were so serious that he was about to be unable to face them.
Claudia glanced at him coldly: "You said that Your Majesty is in the palace now, since people like you can't see Your Majesty, then I have to rely on the sword in my hand and walk in front of Your Majesty in a dignified manner!" β
"Holy light~ You actually want to invade the palace." The Earl of Richville was utterly shocked by the daredevil's audacity
The knight girl stepped forward alone, and a crisp voice followed:
"I remember, you asked me, what kind of witchcraft was that, and now it's your turn to know the answer."
"Well, then, in front of Stormstorm, get on your knees! Then face your lord and repent of what you have done in the past. β
The Earl of Richville, feeling the spell his guards had endured, fell to his knees with trembling hands and muttered, "I am guilty......".
