Chapter Forty-Eight: Akama of the Dark Temple
In October of Dark Gate 25, Claudia embarks on a journey to the Outlands.
Her second doppelganger eventually turned into an obsidian tree, the fruit of which had been plucked and preserved by Claudia before the ceremony, just in case of hunger.
Varian and Gianna weren't following her, and after being warned by the Iron Legion and Azeroth, they intended to deal with the Lich King as soon as possible in order to draw their hands for the ensuing crisis.
Of course, Varian tried his best to keep Claudia and try to convince her to wait until she defeated the Lich Queen before going to the Outlands with her, but in the end, Varian was persuaded by her, because Claudia did not dare to stay in Azeroth until the seal of Enzos was reinforced.
According to the Azeroth Spirit's warning, the impending crisis is likely to be related to Enzos, and Claudia does not dare to confront Enzos at all now, so she plans to leave for the time being and return to Azeroth when the situation is clear.
After all, if she were consumed by Enzos, the consequences would be catastrophic for Azeroth.
However, despite Claudia's departure from Azeroth, she still maximized the Alliance's efforts to deal with the ensuing crisis.
The Shadow Dragonlord Nasraruz and the Nightmare Dragonlord Serranzilana were left to Varian, while the Valkyries were to be at Gianna's behest, and Claudia herself took only Mirmenio to the Outlands, the world that was once known as Draenor.
Speaking of Draenor, Claudia made a curious discovery from the memory of the fragment of Agrama, that most of Draenor's life actually originated from Titans.
A few years ago, Agrama came to Draenor after a demon in the universe, and although there were no sleeping souls of the world, the planet's greedy flora sparked a strong curiosity. However, after carefully observing the Yongmao Woodland, he foresaw the future fate of Draenor: "If left unchecked, the Yongmao Woodland will swallow everything, and eventually Draenor will be an endless wasteland." ”
Agrama wanted to destroy the spores herself, but was afraid that she would harm the planet, so Agrama used the elemental storm formed by the four elements of "fire, wind, water, and earth" to turn the highest mountain of Draenor into a guardian "Gorond" in place of him.
After a fierce battle, Gorond defeated most of the spore colony, but he also suffered endless trauma and became many unique creatures after his death, the most powerful of which were the Djinn and the Proto-Ancestral Thorn, which later evolved into Margolon, Goron, One-Eyed, Ogre, and Orc.
This is the origin of Draenor's life.
However, when Claudia arrived at Draenor, the Draeno she saw was not half similar to the green planet in Agrama's memory, although Claudia had prepared in advance, she couldn't help but sigh, it was too miserable.
Claudia was located near the Dark Temple in Shadowmoon Valley.
It was a barren and cracked land, full of the stench of evil energy, huge volcanoes constantly spewing evil magma, huge green meteors falling from the sky from time to time, the wind howled, and from time to time red lightning flashed, hitting the land where no plants existed.
"That's the consequence of overuse of evil powers."
Claudia sighed, and after taking this lesson to heart, she moved on to the first task of her trip, meeting with Illidan on the recommendation of Baihar.
Compared with a few years ago, Illidan's face was licked a little bit more vicissitudes, but his mana was also stronger, and he steadily entered the level of a demigod.
The reason why he can have such an achievement, in addition to his accumulation in the past 10,000 years, is more important is that he is also the darling of the entire universe, the true child of destiny, and the object of competition for holy light, shadow, and evil energy.
"No wonder Elune chose him, no wonder Sargeras personally instilled strength in him, and no wonder Enzos sent Vaschi to his side."
Claudia couldn't help but admire, with the help of prophecy, she had seen the extremely strong power of fate in Illidan, and in the "right fate" that was once made by the light, it was Illidan with his golden eyes and the blessing of Azeroth that completely solved several major threats in the universe.
And even if the right fate is destroyed now, he is destined to be the child of fate, no matter which way he falls, he will determine the direction of fate, but fortunately, Claudia knows that the blind man's purpose is the same as her, he is bent on fighting to end the Burning Legion.
"Madam, I am really surprised by the changes in you, according to the news that my subordinates have discovered, you are obviously the queen of the Stormwind Kingdom, and you are called the embodiment of the Holy Light by the Alliance, but now you ---"
Illidan didn't continue, and Claudia smiled wryly:
"Apparently your news is outdated, a few months ago, the queen of Stormwind City was defeated in a battle and captured by a dark being, although she was finally rescued, but the source of her power has been polluted by the shadows, and the Stormwind Kingdom is a country that believes in holy light, so she can only fake her death and escape the sight of the world when she uses the power of shadows."
Like me, is she not understood by the world because of her strength?
Illidan resonated in his heart, and he accepted Claudia's explanation, with a little sympathy:
"Then ma'am, why did you give me that Evil Heart, and why did you come to the Dark Temple?"
Claudia looked at Illidan's eyes, which were wrapped in white cloth, but she knew that Illidan was not blind, so she stared at the other party's non-existent eyes and said very seriously:
"Like you, I'm going to put an end to the Burning Legion, save Azeroth, and save our universe, so I want to be your companion, just as the two of us were in Felwood Forest!"
Although he had guessed this possibility in advance, Illidan's heart was quickly captured by ecstasy, and according to his understanding, Claudia's strength was very strong enough to greatly help his plans, and even more rarely, the two had the same purpose.
With a heartfelt smile on Illidan's face, he smiled:
"Then welcome on, ma'am, this time, I promise not to count you again."
"Thank you," Claudia said with a smile on her face, but she was unusually determined, "but if it can save our world, even if I am broken." ”
"Me too," Illidan nodded, "Now, let's talk more about it......
Illidan inquired about Claudia's powers, Claudia's plans, and some of his plans, as well as his men--- Illidare, Naga, the High Elves, the Orcs, and the Broken.
Among Illidan's men, the Breakers caught Claudia's attention, and she soon found the leader of the Breakers, Akama.
Akama was taller and more distorted than his fellow Breakers, but like the other Shatterers, he looked like a monster, with fangs protruding from his jaws and wriggling tentacles hanging down his chin.
Akama was visibly wary of Claudia's approach, and he took a step back uneasily, and said in a deep voice, "What's the matter with you, newcomer?" ”
"Don't be nervous, Akama, what I want to tell you is that you and your people are infected with something." Claudia spread her hands to show that she had no ill intentions.
Akama's expression relaxed a little, but Claudia could feel that the other party was just hiding his guard deeper, and Akama said indifferently:
"That's right, my people and I are sick, everyone here knows that, and we Shatterers are infected with that plague called the Red Scourge."
"Red Scourge?" Claudia shook her head, stared into the other's eyes, and said softly, "I don't know what the Red Scourge is, but from what I know, what you're infected with is not so much a plague as a curse, a curse from the Void.
If I lift the curse for you now and take my medicine, the curse can be reversed. ”
Opposite Claudia, when Akama understood what Claudia was talking about, the expression on his face began to change violently, and his fingers began to tremble involuntarily.
The origin of the orcs and the illness of Akama are all from the second volume of the Chronicles
