Free Notes: Adjustments to the Gods map
Remember [Biquge Chinese Network] in one second to provide you with wonderful reading.
The map in "The Romance of the Gods" is roughly as follows: with Chaoge as the center, there is Chentangguan in the north, and Chongguo (Beibohou Chonghou Hu) outside. There are three mountain passes in the south, and there is the country of Hubei (Nanbohou Eshun) outside. There is a wandering soul pass in the east, and there is (Jiang Wenhuan of the East Bohou) outside. In the West, it's more complicated, because the stories of the gods take place in this area. From Chaoge to Xiqi, the middle passes through Mengjin, Mianchi, Lintong Pass, Tong Pass, Chuanyun Pass, Jiepai Pass, and Bishui Pass. There is Qinglong Pass on the north side, and Jiameng Pass on the south side.
Among the above passes, Chentang Pass, Sanshan Pass, Wandering Soul Pass, Chuanyun Pass, Jiepai Pass, Qinglong Pass, and Jiameng Pass are fictional. Except for Chentangguan, which is generally believed to be in Tianjin, no one can tell where they are in other place names, so there is no need to adjust them.
However, the real place names in "The Romance of the Gods", except for Chaoge, Mengjin, Mianchi, and Xiqi, are mostly inconsistent with the real map. From Chaoge to Xiqi, the correct order should be Bishui, Mengjin, Mianchi, Tongguan, and Lintong.
Chongguo was not in the north, but east of Xiqi and south of the Wei River (originally in the Deng-Feng area, the Shang Dynasty moved to the Xi'an area). At that time, the state of Hubei was actually north of the Yellow River, and it was only during the Zhou Dynasty that it moved to the Hu-north area. For Chaoge, they are neither in the south nor in the north, but in the west.

"Romance of the Gods" describes a story of defense and counterattack, while the history books record a story of encroachment and sneak attack. It's not that I'm singing high-pitched, I have to conform to some historical facts, but the story of defensive counterattack is too old-fashioned.
Therefore, this book transfers all the many encirclements and suppressions suffered by Xiqi in the "Romance of the Fengshen" to the expansion wars of the Zhou Dynasty (Fa Mi Su, Fa Chong, Fa Li, Liansu, Lian Deng, and Lian Hubei).
The locations in the eastward march were adjusted in the actual geographical order. Nezha's battle of Bishui Pass, which was injured by Yuhua, was changed to Hangu Pass. The battles of Tongguan and Lintong were changed to Luoyi. The final battle of Zhang Kui's defense of Michi was changed to Bishui Pass.
