Chapter III: Heirs

Shortly after Valerian first met his father, Acturs, he left him with only three words.

For the first seven years of his life, Valerian lived a peaceful, idyllic life with his mother, Julena Past, in Jumoyan.

At that time, Actturus had just learned that he had a son, and he had a negative attitude towards everything Valerian had to offer—from the books he read to his frail body.

Privately, Arcturus told Julena that she had raised one

"Bookworms, Soft Eggs and Girls". When Valerian learned these three words, he vowed to stop at nothing to make everyone, including his father, dare not take him lightly in the slightest.

In the years that followed, despite not being accompanied by his father, Valerian continued to do his best to strengthen his body, receive weapons training, and learn the theory of war.

Actuls, on the other hand, was focused on growing up his rebel army against the Confederacy, and had little personal time to see his son.

Valerian and his mother began a turbulent life. In order to escape the assassination of the Federation, he went into hiding in Tibet.

During this time, Valenrian received a lot of information about Arcturs through UNN radio.

These messages are mixed with a lot of federal propaganda tactics. But Valenian knew exactly what to mean by the lies.

When Valenrian's twenty-first birthday arrives, his life and the world around him change: Julena dies of cancer; The Confederacy was defeated; Acturus became emperor of the Tyranid Empire.

After Julina's funeral, Actulus praised his son for finally becoming a brave and wise man.

Valerian also became a member of his father's Imperial Order. A lot has changed since Valerian became the heir to the Empire.

But he still maintained a hobby of his childhood: archaeology. As a child, he would dig in the dirt for hours every day in search of non-existent alien relics.

Now, he has begun to use the vast resources of the empire to search for true ancient relics in the Koplu Star Field.

The vast majority of them belong to the mysterious Sarnagar civilization. Acturus disagrees with Valerian's fascination with archaeology.

In some ways, the relationship between these two men can be said to be quite strained. Valerian respected Actturus, but he did not always agree with his father's tactics, and did not even hate some of his father's enemies, such as freedom fighter Jim Renault.

Although Valerian has the same ruthlessness and unwavering determination to win as his father, he also inherits the kindness and kindness of his deceased mother.

Only time will tell whether he will eventually retain his personality and unique values, or sink into his father's massive figure.
