Chapter 820: Confucius can't live in Chen anymore

Mobile reading

After a period of seclusion in the state of Chen, Confucius's fame grew, attracting the attention of the monarchs and ministers of the state of Chen. Under the pressure of public opinion, the king of Chen, who later became the Duke of Chen, had to send envoys to find Confucius and invite him there. Like the defense of the country back then, he was given an official position, but he had no real power, and he used it as an ornament to earn a reputation for reusing talents.

Confucius was also used to it, and he didn't care at all. Opposite! Still happy. With this opportunity, he was able to give lectures to Chen Gong and the ministers of Chen Guo.

The situation in Chen Guo is the same as when he was under Wei Linggong: whether he talks about him or not is another matter.

But! It's different! At this time, the content of his explanation has changed. Although he still talks about Zhou Li, and he also talks about his set of superficial things, its quality has changed. It is no longer dogmatic to ritual, and rituals are only based on the need for superficial forms. Courtesy! It's just a superficial form, a show, a ritual.

In the past! Especially before he went to Luoyi in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to meet Lao Tzu, he was very concerned about all aspects of etiquette and was obsessed with etiquette. Later, I slowly changed my understanding, in non-public places, you can be casual and arbitrary, and it doesn't matter if you are polite or not.

It was meant to be! Etiquette is only a superficial formality, and the inner respect for others and gods is true.

On the surface, he was an official in the state of Chen. In fact, he often left Chen to give lectures in other small surrounding countries. More often than not, it is in the name of lecturing and traveling.

Chen Guo's official, he needs it. Not only can you improve your reputation, but you can also receive a considerable amount of money. Chen is a small country, and it is also a poor country with many disasters and difficulties. So! There are not a lot of Yulu, and they are not given according to the Yulu of the Patriotic Country.

Furthermore! The promise was given to him the same as when he was in Lu and Weiguo, but Confucius did not accept it.

Be self-aware, if others invite you to be a leader, it will already be very face-saving, and you can't go too far. There are too many people who want it, Chen Guo's national strength is acceptable, and he doesn't care how much money one or two or a few people have. But the result of this is that it will inevitably cause dissatisfaction among other ministers.

To know! You are an official position with a listing, a false position, and an official position that does not do practical things. So! Your salary is too high, and those officials who do practical things will inevitably be dissatisfied.

During the Chen period, at the suggestion of Zigong and others, it was natural to run a school.

The number of mobile universities of Confucius is also increasing, but the school is just as important as basic education. But! He doesn't need to ask about running a school. The school run in his usual style is not profitable. So! Just don't ask.

During the Chen period, Confucius still followed Fang Jishi's advice, and whenever he had the opportunity, he would go to the people to find hermits and learn Taoism. No! It was to consult the hermits, to point out their doctrines and ideas, and to see where there were still problems.

Following the hermit to learn the "Yi", Confucius gained a lot. Of course! Not only because he learned "Yi", but also because the hermit gave him a point.

The hermit taught him Yi was only one aspect, it was just a trick on him. But! Yi is not only used for divination, but also contains profound philosophies. Under the guidance of the hermit, he learned not divination but "Yi" theory, a deeper understanding of things.

Under Lao Tzu's guidance, all Taoists changed their thinking patterns and interpreted Yi from a different perspective, rather than treating Yi as a book of divination.

When we change the mode of thinking, we go to divination, and the results we get are scientific. No! is rational, not superstitious. Because! Before we divination, we have already figured out how to deal with various outcomes.

Superstitious divination, on the other hand, is the belief in and reliance on the results of divination, and it is resigned to fate.

And also! Divination correctly is not a "divine calculation", it is based on knowing why it is divined, not guessing. The soothsayer needs to explain to the soothsayer why the soothsayer is dividing, and the soothsayer must first discuss with the soothsayer what happened and how to deal with it, and then! before going to divination.

In fact! After the soothsayer discusses what happened with the soothsayer and how to deal with it, it doesn't matter whether the soothsayer divins or not. The soothsayer had already predicted the possible outcome from the soothsayer's analysis.

Because! Under the analysis of the soothsayer, the results of our actions may be different. Other words! The soothsayer already has the result in his heart. Divination! It's just a psychological comfort to the soothsayer at the end, or a firm belief.

Divination of the wise is like a senior psychological counselor in modern society, and the person who goes to psychological counseling explains the psychological confusion to the counselor and looks for solutions. The counselor analyzes what the counselor says, and then analyzes various possibilities. Through this interactive process, the person who does the counseling already knows the answer, and there is no need for the counselor to talk nonsense.

Of course! If the person doing the counseling is not willing to cooperate, the psychological counseling will not be effective. Even! It didn't work at all.

It's the same with divination! If the soothsayer does not tell the soothsayer the truth, the result of the divination will never work.

The "divine calculation" of legends can only be legends. Even if it is a "divine calculation", it must be based on understanding the actual situation.

In the past few years of Chen Guo's "debut", it can be said that it is another turning point in Confucius's life. No! It was another period of maturity in Confucius's doctrine and thought. From the superficial thinking to the analogical logical thinking, from attaching importance to etiquette and sticking to etiquette to paying attention to the essence of etiquette, it is the starting point of the maturity of Confucius's thought.

Just as Lao Tzu scolded him at the beginning: If you don't understand people, how can you understand etiquette?

You don't even know what a human being is? How do you know what etiquette is?

In later generations, Zhuangzi also mentioned this in the inner part of the book "Zhuangzi". Zhuangzi used a fictitious person to scold Zigong, and he also scolded like this: If you don't understand people, how can you understand etiquette?

Social problems cannot be solved without addressing the fundamental problems of philosophy. Otherwise! It's all about treating the symptoms but not the root cause. They are all quacks to cure diseases: headaches and foot pains.

But! Recently! Confucius couldn't stay in Chen anymore, and the war came.

Even if the king of Chen promised him to govern Chen according to his doctrine and theory, he would not be able to change the fate of Chen Guo. Because! Chen Guo is just a small country, in the international environment, Chen Guo is a Mao?

A great power can destroy everything you have at any time! There is no heavenly reason! No one tells you about the principles of heaven! No one talks to you about morality. This is a real society! Human society.

So! In order to live, in order to spread his own doctrine and ideas, when the war of the state of Chen came and could not stop it, Confucius had to leave the state of Chen with his students and prepare to defend the country.

After Weiguo changed to a new king, he sent people to invite him many times. Right now! He can take this opportunity to defend the country.
