Chapter 360: Feel Recovery

To be on the safe side, Brown temporarily pressed the pitchers to the bench in the second quarter, using Snow to partner Arenas in the backcourt, small forward temporarily replacing Bell with Lynch, and the interior combination of Teylon Hill and Dyrem Porter, obviously wanting to further improve the impact on the basket, anyway, Hellam Porter and Arenas are both young, and it doesn't matter if they play a little longer.

In fact, Brown could have put Oku in the No. 5 spot, so that Dalham Porter could have had plenty of rest. But Brown suspects that cold hands are contagious, and it hasn't happened in the games he's coached before, so Brown still didn't let Oku off the court, lest he hit consecutive shots and hurt morale.

The Celtics, on the other hand, took Pierce down, and O'Brien wanted him to get a few minutes of rest, and the team's main point of attack during his rest time would be Walker. This arrangement is in the hands of Brown, and it is obvious that Lynch cannot compete with Pierce, but now that Pierce is actually sitting on the bench, it is not too late to replace Bell when he returns to the court, so that the 76ers should take advantage of the position, and it is difficult to say whether it can be converted into an advantage.

However, after the restart, the 76ers' hand seemed to show signs of recovery, and Iverson hit a big two-pointer in the high post in the first round, and he shot ...... from this distance in the first quarter of the game 0%, all 4 shots were iron-struck. While that doesn't mean he'll be able to kill all sides anytime soon, it's at least a relatively positive sign.

And it doesn't matter if he shoots the basketball, Hill and Damham Porter are probably the 76ers' best rebounding interior combination, and when they're on the court, the team's rebounding is very guaranteed. And Arenas still insists on breaking through the offensive basket, and Brown is happy that he can do this as a complement to his offensive style.

With rebounding guaranteed, the 76ers' firepower was the first to recover, and they all knew that even if they couldn't shoot, their teammates could wipe their butts, so the increase in shooting percentage was completely expected. For offensive players, fearlessness is a very important mental state, and only by believing that they can score can they really put the ball in the basket. And now Hill and Durham Porter's joint appearance is obviously telling his teammates: even if you shoot, even if you can't shoot, there are still us!

The advantage of being the first to climb out of the quagmire is that you can play a wave of small climaxes while the opponent is still anxious. The 76ers did just that, and before the Celtics could react, Iverson and Arenas combined to score 10 points to help the team quickly open up the gap. Looking at the numbers on the scoreboard, O'Brien was dumbfounded: how did he become this ghost all of a sudden? In desperation, he could only ask for a substitution immediately, hoping that Pierce could come on the field to lead his teammates' attack.

Seeing O'Brien replace Pierce, Brown also took Lynch off and replaced him with Bale, who was already rested. After re-entering the game, Pierce's touch seemed to have recovered, but his teammates were not very helpful, and his three passes and two passes eventually turned into defensive rebounds for the 76ers, and he was helpless and disappointed that he could only choose to carry the ball alone.

This makes it easier for the 76ers to defend, and whenever Pierce attacks with the ball, they can always build layers of solid defense, and by the time Pierce comes to the basket, he has lost the indomitable spirit he started with. This necessitates him to use mid-range jumpers more often, which is clearly being interfered with by Bale.

Even Pierce is in trouble, so the rest of the Celtics' players can be imagined, they simply don't have the ability to attack like Pierce. Brown was relieved that the change in the situation on the court had already begun to get the team on track, and as for the Celtics, who were still struggling with the iron? Who cares how they play?

Brown is still a little worried, though, because the 76ers' offense is now focused on mid-range shooting and scoring from under the basket, and their sharpest weapon, the three-point shot, has not yet been opened. Under the deliberate influence of Chang Wei, the 76ers have become the league's favorite team to shoot three-pointers, and the overall shooting rate is as high as 36.6%, many opponents are completely crushed under their indiscriminate bombardment, but the Celtics have not been able to enjoy such "treatment" in this game for the time being.

Pierce alone certainly can't compare to the multi-point blossoming 76ers, and although he continues to help the team score piecemeal, the offensive efficiency and game rhythm have dropped significantly. By the end of the second quarter, the Celtics had only 50 points and the 76ers had 62, nearly 70 points in the half, which is the style of the 76ers.

At halftime, O'Brien made a layout for the 76ers' scoring concentration on the inside, and he asked the players to shrink the defense in the second half and not give the opponent a chance to shoot easily inside the three-point line. As for the outside of the three-point line, O'Brien believes that the opponent will not be able to find his touch in this game for the time being, and the 76ers only shot 2 of 9 three-pointers in the first half.

O'Brien's thinking is certainly correct, any head coach will give the order to shrink the defense when the opponent is unable to make a three-point effort, in short, let the opponent score in the position he is not good at. Obviously, the 76ers were a mess outside the three-point line in the first half, and it didn't seem like a big deal to let them shoot threes.

However, O'Brien forgot one thing, the 76ers have a lot of shooters, they couldn't open the game outside the three-point line in the first half just because they felt weirdly cold, and once the seal was lifted, the Celtics' strategy of shrinking the defense was their lifeline. Sure enough, Brown fielded a starting lineup of Iverson, Reed, Bale, Lewis and Oku in the second half, and all five of them had the ability to shoot from beyond the three-point line, apparently trying to take advantage of the big lead.

Of course, if the 76ers didn't lead by double digits at halftime or even fell behind, Brown would certainly not have made such a decision, and he would have slowly laid the foundation for victory in the safest way possible. Perhaps in the eyes of many people, Brown is a bit reckless in arranging the starting lineup in this way, but Chang Wei can see the real thoughts of the old coach.

In a sense, Brown is now taking a very low-risk gamble, and if the lineup continues to play iron, then there can be a decisive substitution before the two sides return to the same running line, but what if the lineup shows a lot of firepower? Then the 76ers could pretty much use this quarter to lay the groundwork for their own victory.
