About & quot; g14& quot; Popular science of the club
As mentioned earlier, there is a mention of "G14" clubs in Europe, so here is a detailed explanation for you.
The G-14 (2000-2008) is a private organization of European giants, founded in 2000 in Brussels, Belgium, with 14 top European teams as founding members. It aims to negotiate with and fight for common interests with football power monopolies such as FIFA and UEFA with a common voice. Only invited teams can become new members of the G-14, which was increased to 18 members in 2002, but the G-14 retains its original name.
The G-14 members spanned seven European countries and had won some 250 domestic top-flight titles and 42 Champions League titles by the end of 2008.
On January 16, 2008, Beijing time, representatives of European clubs reached an agreement with FIFA and UFA, agreeing to dissolve G-14 and establish the European Club Association. On February 15, the G-14 was officially disbanded.
The fourteen initiating clubs at that time were:
Ajax (Netherlands)
Dortmund (Germany)
Barcelona (Spain)
Bayern Munich (Germany)
Inter Milan (Italy)
Juventus (Italy)
Liverpool (England)
Manchester United (England)
AC Milan (Italy)
Marseille (France)
Paris Saint-Germain (France)
Porto (Portugal)
Eindhoven (Netherlands)
Real Madrid (Spain)
In 2002, Arsenal, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen and Valencia were added, but they are still known as G14.
