Chapter 560: Confucius after Enlightenment
The relationship between Fang Jishi and Confucius, that is needless to say.
Fang Jishi regarded Confucius as a future sage, so! Always keep the measured. If Confucius treated Lao Tzu the way he treated Lao Tzu with his military temper, and went against Lao Tzu's Taoism, he would have turned his face.
No! He wanted to hit someone.
But for the sake of him as a future saint, he has been restraining himself.
The same is true of Confucius's attitude towards the cornerstone of the party. He was grateful to Brother Fang for giving him encouragement in life, and thanked Brother Fang for the help he gave. So! I have always had a grateful heart and got along with Fang Jishi.
Otherwise! In the face of Fang Jishi's virtue, he was very unhappy with him yelling.
For the sake of the eldest brother, he didn't have a seizure.
As a human being, he has a temper like Kongqiu. Although he is a future saint, a saint is not born, a saint grows up, and he comes step by step.
The growth experience of a saint is rich, but how can he understand the true meaning of life without experience?
At the beginning, Confucius called Fang Jishi not a "big brother", but an uncle, and treated him as an adult. Afterward! Under the repeated requests of Fang Jishi, the brothers are commensurate.
For this! Confucius was awkward for a long time, and felt that calling Fang Cornerstone a brother and sister was disrespectful to the other party's Cornerstone Stone.
At night! Let the kitchen of the inn prepare new wine and food, and continue to eat and drink. But! In the evening, the two of them no longer ate and drank. Uncle Nangong Jing and Fang Zhong were also called in, and the four of them ate and drank together.
The four of them gathered in front of a desk, which was a long table, and two people sat on one side. Fang Jishi and his son Fang Zhong sat on one side, Confucius and Nangong Jingshu sat on one side, facing each other to eat and drink. It's not like in movies and TV series, where there are several cases per person.
Where is there so much attention to when you go out? Let alone! They are poor, 1 middle, 1 peasant, and they don't have much money.
Although Confucius was a scholar, he had no money. Fang Jishi is rich, but he doesn't have the habit of carrying money with him. He was a soldier by birth and preferred to survive in the wild.
Again! The scenes in movies and TV series are all contrived. In real life, it's not exactly that way.
In the homes of rich people such as the Son of Heaven, princes and kings, hereditary nobles, etc., it may be like that. In ordinary people's homes, there is not so much attention at all.
And also! The sitting posture is also not so exquisite. Only in the court of the Son of Heaven and the princes and kings can there be a certain degree of exquisiteness. In private, it's very casual. In later generations, in order to praise the gift of the sage Confucius, it was exaggerated.
It can also be said that the people of later generations are all "Wumao clan", and in order to cater to the needs of the rulers, they deliberately did that.
Before the Spring and Autumn Period, the Son of Heaven and the King did not "sit" like that. Their sitting posture is prescriptive, but it is definitely not the one filmed in the TV series, "kneeling" there and sitting on their own heels.
And also! Etiquette and other etiquette are not so strict.
If you want to say strict, it was after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and some people set up many etiquettes in order to cater to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Even! They set up more etiquette than Confucius taught his students.
After the "discussion" with Fang Jishi, Confucius suddenly became enlightened. The truth is not clear, and through debate, he has realized many truths. The previous doubts were suddenly gone. His illness, also between eating, drinking, and debating, was miraculously cured.
Confucius's illness was not only due to the tiredness of driving a car, nor was it just because he was frightened after learning the news of the dead. But! Secret trouble! There is no enlightened heart disease.
Ever since he forced himself to leave Lao Tzu, Confucius's mood has been particularly complicated! He felt that he had understood, but he couldn't say why. It was for several reasons that he suddenly collapsed.
OK! There was a good man in the local area, who prescribed him medicine to calm the gods and let him recuperate, which alleviated his condition.
"Eat! Drink! Confucius took the initiative to put the food on the plate in front of Nangong Jingshu and Fang Zhong, and ordered the two to eat it.
Nangong Jingshu and Fang Zhong couldn't believe that Teacher Kong was a different person after his serious illness, and he was no longer so angry and arrogant. Tigers don't eat people, and their image is unacceptable.
The next morning, Confucius was the first to get up. He was also the first to go out of the room and outside, and with his broken sword, he danced.
Uncle Nangong Jing saw that Mr. was up, so he had to follow. Seeing that the gentleman had gone out with the broken sword, he also followed. The gentleman was wielding a broken sword on the field, and he was holding his arms on the side to watch the excitement, looking inexplicable.
Fang Zhong also got up early, followed Mr. out of the inn, and practiced his fists and feet on the side of the inn.
Fang Jishi also got up, but he didn't go to practice, but stood on the second floor and looked at the three people below.
The three of them, the seriousness of Confucius and Fang Zhong, and the cynicism of Uncle Nangong Jing are all displayed in front of him.
After breakfast, the room payment was settled, and the four of them went on their way.
When Confucius recovered from a serious illness, Fang Jishi did not let him drive the carriage and let him sit in the carriage. Fang Zhong was an honest man, he didn't go horseback riding, and accompanied his husband.
Uncle Nangong Jing naturally rode on the horse ridden by Fang Jishi. This horse was given to Fang Jishi by King Zhou Jing, and it is the best good horse.
Along the way, Confucius was not idle, pretending to ask casually, testing Fang Zhong's knowledge.
Fang Zhong was not a student of Confucius, he grew up in Ji Pingzi's mansion, and was taught by Ji's husband.
Confucius tested him with many questions, and the result! Fang Zhongdu answered the answer fluently, and there was no mistake.
Well! Very good!
Confucius was satisfied.
Knowing that Confucius had returned from Luoyi in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty to "greet Lao Tzu", Lu Zhaogong, Ji Pingzi and others sent people out of the city to greet him. The entire Lu royal family regards this incident as an honor and glory.
Because! Confucius played a certain role in the relationship with Qi and gave Lu a long face.
Back in Qufu City, Confucius and others did not dare to go home first, and went directly to Lu Palace to meet Lu Zhaogong, Ji Pingzi and others.
I went to Lu Palace first, and after a while, I came out. Then he went to Ji Pingzi's house and met Dr. Ji.
Ji Pingzi and others rarely go to Lu Zhaogong's side to "work". Only important events gathered on the side of the Lu Palace. Only when there are major events such as sacrificing ancestors, do I go to Lu Zhaogong's side. Usually, the general thing is to "work from home".
After enlightenment, Confucius was like a different person, and he was much more false. On the surface! He was still the same as he was, polite. But in fact, he has been trained by Lao Tzu and knows what etiquette is.
Lao Tzu said: Don't know what a person is? How do you know what etiquette is?
Courtesy! It is only a way to regulate the behavior of the world, not a way to save the world. So! Don't stick to etiquette, don't be a big living person bound by all kinds of etiquette.
Self-denial is not a way to save the world, it is just a way to restrain oneself, and it is just the foundation of being a human being.
