Chapter Eighty-Nine: Crouch Goes Crazy

In the last week of May, Professor Flitwick left Aitch behind after his spell class.

"Edge, you're going to the Quidditch venue at nine o'clock tonight." He said to Edge. "Mr. Bagman is going to tell you about the third mission."

In the evening, Aitch walked down the dark lawn towards the Quidditch Gymnasium, bypassing a crack in the stands and walking to the field.

The Quidditch arena was no longer as smooth and flat as it used to be, and it looked as if someone had made a lot of long, low walls on top of it, which zigzagged and crossed and stretched out in all directions.

Then came a pleasant voice: "Hello! ”

Bagman, Harry, Krum, and Fleur were standing in the middle of the field to greet him, and since there was no road, Aitch had to climb over the hedges.

"What do you think?" Bagman said he seemed happy, "It's growing well, and if you give them some time, Hagrid will be able to grow them to twenty-five feet tall." Don't worry. He added with a smile, as he could tell from Harry's expression that Harry was not happy at all, perhaps fearing that he would destroy his favorite Quidditch venue. As soon as the game is over, it will be back to normal! Now I guess you can guess what we're doing here, right? ”

There was no sound for a moment, and thenβ€”"Labyrinth." Aitch muttered.

"Exactly!" Bagman said. "A maze, the third mission is really simple and straightforward, the Goblet of Fire is placed in the center of the maze, and the first person to touch it wins the game."

"Shall we just go through the labyrinth?" Fleur asked him.

"There will be some obstacles." Bagman said happily, "Hagrid will put some magical creatures in...... And then there are spells to be broken...... It's all trouble, pranks, and all that kind of stuff, you see. In the current ranking, the player with the higher score will enter the maze first. Bagmun smiled at Edge, "First Mr. Edge, then Mr. Krum go in...... Then there's Mr. Harry, and Miss Fleur is next. ”

Aitch was first in two places, Harry was third because he narrowly lost to Krum in the second hurdle, and Fleur was bottom.

"Very good...... If you're all right, we'll go back to the castle, it's a bit cold here......"

As they began to slowly make their way out of the growing labyrinth, Krum patted Aitch on the shoulder.

"Can I speak to you?"

"Okay, okay." Aitch was a little confused, but agreed.

"Come with me, okay?"

Aitch replied to him and left the field with him, but instead of taking the road that led to Durmstrang, Krum walked towards the Forbidden Forest. At last they came to a silent clearing, a short walk from the stable. Krum stopped in the shadow of the trees and turned to face Edge.

"I want to know." He said, looking at Aitch with burning eyes. "What's the relationship between you and Hermione?"

"Nothing." "No," he emphasized. ”

"But Hermione talks about you a lot." Krum said, looking at Aitch with suspicion.

"Really?" "Are you talking about my exploitation or capital?" Or is it my self-righteousness? ”

"But then again, why should I explain it to you?"

Krum's face looked a little uglier. He stared at it for a few seconds and then said, "I want to bet with you once, just bet on this game, and although you have a little advantage, well, like she still has you in her heart now, I believe I will still win." Whoever loses, who withdraws. What do you think? ”

"I find you really naΓ―ve." Aitch laughed, "Hermione isn't an item, it's not a bet, and as I said, she and I are already on two parallel lines of destiny. ”

The bushes behind Krum moved, as if something was lurking in the forest, and he instinctively turned around and pulled out his wand.

"What's that?"

After a while, a man staggered out from behind a tall oak tree. It took a while for Archie to recognize him as Mr. Crouch.

Mr. Crouch was dressed completely unlike himself. He looked like he had been gone for days, his robe on his knees torn and bloodied. His face was also scratched, his beard was stubble, and his face was gray from exertion.

His normally neat hair and beard now seemed to need to be properly washed and trimmed, and it was strange that he was in such a place at such a time, but even stranger was that he was muttering and gesturing, as if he were talking to someone who only he could see.

"Isn't he a referee?" Krum asked. He stared at Mr. Crouch, "And isn't he supposed to be with your minister?" ”

Mr. Crouch was speaking to a tree near him: "...... Weasley, when you're done with that, send an owl to Dumbledore to confirm the number of Durmstrang students participating in the tournament. Karkaroff had just passed the word that there would be twelve contestants......"

β€œβ€¦β€¦ Then send an owl to Madam Maxim, and she might have to add the students she had brought, so that it would be about twelve now...... Let's do that, Weasley, okay? All right? Good ......" Mr. Crouch's eyes bulged, and he stood staring at the tree, muttering something unknowing. Aitch could tell that he was "replaying" the Triwizard Tournament.

"Mr. Crouch?" Krum exclaimed, "Are you okay?" ”

Mr. Crouch's eyes were rolling over his head, and Krum was looking at Mr. Klaus warily.

"What's wrong with him?" This is asking Edge.

"He's not in his right mind, but it's okay, leave it to me," Aitch squinted, "I'll take care of it." ”

Hogwarts is Edge's home turf, and rightfully so. It occurred to him that Mr. Crouch had just escaped from the Death Eaters and could provide him with some interesting information.

Crouch looked like crazy: his eyes protruded like goldfish's eyes and kept spinning; Saliva dripping from the chin. Every word he uttered seemed to exhaust his strength to feed. "Must ...... Tell...... Dumbledore......"

Aitch knocked him unconscious first, this mental state of mind is not easy to control, and he is not capable of providing any valuable information, "Then I'll go first......" Aitch took Mr. Crouch and teleported away.

"Wait......" Krum remembered his gamble.

Instead of taking Mr. Crouch back to the Hogwarts infirmary, Aitch took him to Privet Road. Mr. Crouch was just nervous, exhausted, and slightly injured, and Aitch didn't want anyone to kill him.

With a rag tied around her head and a feather duster stuck in her belt, she reflexively curtsy when she sees Edge.

"Crouch Master!" Twinkle was surprised, still thinking about her former master, "Master, what's wrong with Master Crouch?" ”

"Take good care of him, and when he wakes up, remember to inform me, and don't let him go out of this house." Aitch didn't need to explain to the elves and asked Twilight to arrange a guest room and let her take care of Crouch. Twinkle is 10,000 willing.

It wasn't until the day before the third assignment that Twilight came to inform him that Aitch had chosen a time in the evening to return to his house.

Mr. Crouch was mummified in bandages, with only one face exposed, all of which were glittering handwriting.

Twinkle knelt beside the bed, holding a large bowl and feeding him porridge.

When he saw Edge, his Mr. Crouch's eyes protruded again, and his vitality was greatly damaged, and he couldn't speak well, "I'll escape...... Must be warned...... Must be told...... Dumbledore...... My fault...... It's all my fault...... My son...... My fault...... Tell Dumbledore...... Edge...... 'that man'...... It's back...... Stronger...... Ike. ”
