Chapter 103: Voldemort's Gift
Harry spent his fifth year at Hogwarts for Christmas, and if Sirius hadn't been captured, he should have gone back to 12 Grimmauld Place and Sirius for the New Year.
The cold silence of winter reminded him of Sirius's Christmas gifts two years earlier, and when Harry opened them, it became boring.
Ron was still in high spirits unwrapping his gifts, as most of the students preferred to stay at Hogwarts in the safety of Hogwarts rather than at home because of Voldemort.
Surprisingly, Harry received a gift mixed in with an envelope, a familiar font, a familiar dark green ink, on which Voldemort wrote his New Year's wishes! There are also group photos of Voldemort putting a Santa hat on Sirius and locking him in a room that looks fairly clean.
The moving picture conveyed Sirius's anger, and although there was no sound, it seemed that his spirit was not bad, which made Harry feel a little relieved - Dumbledore, they were right, as long as the Horcrux was in hand, Sirius would be fine.
Ron caught Harry's smile, a warm smile that hadn't been seen on Harry's face since Sirius was captured, "What are you looking at?" ”
The stove reddened his nose, and Ron changed into the sweater that Mrs. Weasley had knitted for him as usual—Harry had one too, and as he ate the weird beans on the table, he reached out and took the picture and the unfinished letter from Harry's hand.
Harry was caught off guard, "Give me back!" ”
But it was too late—Ron shivered, choked with spit in his throat, unable to hold the picture anymore and easily asked Harry to take it back.
Ron hadn't met Voldemort, but he knew Sirius! Combined with Voldemort's evil snake-like face, Ron's voice began to tremble, "This is 'that man'?" ”
"Don't say it, okay? Ron. Harry begged for a good friend.
Ron, whose nose was as red as his face, staggered backwards, turned around, and ran away in his pajamas.
Harry's good mood was lost to Ron's actions, and he knew what was coming, and his body was as cold as sinking into an ice cellar and buried in the snow.
As Harry expected, within half an hour, Professor McGonagall called Harry into Dumbledore's Headmaster's office. Snape and Aitch were there, and the crowd was looking at Harry with serious expressions.
Voldemort's letter circled around in the hands of the crowd and returned to Dumbledore. "When did it start? Why don't you tell us? He asked.
This must not be the first time, otherwise it would have been reported by Ron, and Harry himself would have delivered the letter to Dumbledore's desk.
"He said, "You can't tell anyone." Harry lowered his head and spoke in a low voice. Harry avoided the important and skipped Dumbledore's first question.
"I've always thought you're sensible." From Dumbledore's words, Harry could tell that he was disappointed in himself.
"Are you really going to listen to him and meet him with the Slytherin locket? Don't tell us at all? Dumbledore suppressed his anger.
This is the content of Voldemort's letter on the letter that Harry hasn't read yet, Ron grabbed it quickly, he hasn't seen it yet, and after taking it back, he doesn't have the heart to read it, so Dumbledore mentions it, and Harry still looks confused.
Then Harry immediately reacted, "How is that possible?" He's asking me to meet? ”
Snape laughed grimly, "Potter, you don't have to pretend, I said why you stole the locket, it was this idea!" "Aitch knew that the locket was in Harry's hands, so he naturally had to talk to Dumbledore and them, otherwise everyone would worry about it in vain.
"Professor, I didn't!" Harry argued, hoping that Dumbledore would believe him.
"Okay, no need to say anything." Dumbledore raised his hand, interrupting Harry's words, not Snape, which in itself was somewhat biased.
He stood in front of Harry, "I want you to remember this lesson and trust us, not Voldemort. If you know that you were deceived by him this time, the consequences will be unimaginable, understand? ”
Harry pursed his lips and just nodded.
"Go back, we still have something to discuss."
What to discuss? Of course, to discuss when and where Voldemort might be possible. The new minister is holding his breath - Voldemort's gift of robbing Azkaban has caused his reputation to decline, and now he hopes to win a battle more than Fudge did back then, and give him a shot in the arm for his political career.
Harry hadn't read the time and place on the letter, and as he walked back to his bedroom, he remembered that he had pressed Voldemort to communicate with him, and he wanted to scold himself.
Voldemort would never have done anything to Sirius. He couldn't be like the kidnappers in the Muggle world who tore up the ticket because the hostage's family called the police, because the Horcruxes were so important to Voldemort that Sirius couldn't pay for it (because Dumbledore had Voldemort's two lives in his hands), so what did it matter if Harry didn't say it?
Harry, who regretted it, didn't even notice that Ron was calling him, making Ron think that Harry was angry with him.
A few days later, Dumbledore and Snape were not even present at their usual banquets, and Harry asked Aitch privately.
"His appointed day is approaching." Aitch said something at an end, but Harry understood. Dumbledore and the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic began to set up ambushes at the time and place Voldemort had stated in the letter.
"Why don't you go?" The last time he went on a mission to rescue Sirius, Harry didn't seem to see Aitch from Snape's memory, and Aitch didn't go this time.
According to Harry's impression, Aitch is certainly not weak in defeating the dragon, and it is also a help to go.
"I'm not from the Order of the Phoenix." Aitch shrugged, "And I always have a hunch that it's not that simple. ”
Harry also scared Edge, and the explosion from Snape's point of view made him feel terrified. "It won't be the same as last time, will it?"
"Not really." "We started monitoring the place a few days in advance, and what happened last time will never happen again." ”
Harry's nervousness didn't get better because of Edge's explanation, but because the days were approaching, and his heartstrings were getting tighter.
It was a quiet night, and Hogwarts was bathed in moonlight after the snow, and even the wind froze the leaves of the trees and the glass windows.
The elevator was running loud, and Harry frowned, nervously watching what was in front of him, knowing that it was a dream, and that it might not be a dream.
A sudden female voice from the "Department of Mysteries" alerted the floor, and Voldemort walked out of the elevator with a group of people, "Harry" looking ahead, but could hear the stray footsteps. They walked through the door at the end of the hallway, and in front of them were a dozen doors.
Voldemort turned around, and Harry saw it, and Sirius was dragged here as well!
Voldemort said in a cold voice, "Find it for me." ”
Harry wanted to read on, he wanted to know what Voldemort was looking for, and why he had brought Sirius with him.
But he knows better that it would be better to wake up. Whatever Voldemort was going to do, it was right to stop him.
Trying Snape's Occlumency, Harry severed contact with Voldemort.
Sweating profusely and tired more than nightmares, Harry didn't care about the discipline of the school curfew, so he woke up the fat lady and ran to tell Dumbledore.
But it was Mr. Filch who alarmed first, and God knows when he went to bed, and he could catch Harry in the middle of the night. But it's okay to go with him and inform Professor McGonagall first.
