Chapter 19 The Dragon Raising Incident
The atmosphere at school has become a little tense, probably due to the fact that the final exams are ten weeks later, and the professors give each student so much homework that Easter is much worse than Christmas. As long as it's recess, few seats in the library are empty. There are people everywhere practicing spells and endorsements.
Aitch suddenly discovers: Hagrid is actually coming to the library! It's even more unbelievable than Ron's fight for Professor Quirrell. In the past, Ron was the favorite to watch Quirrell's class have an accident. But these days, Harry gives Quirrell an encouraging smile every time he meets him, and Ron begins to reprimand those who make fun of Quirrell's stuttering.
Aitch went to the area where Hagrid was sneaking around, and it was full of books about dragons, such as "The Species of the Irish Dragon in Great Britain", "From Egg to Adult: A Handbook for Keeping Dragons", and so on. Apparently he wanted to raise a dragon.
There were a few other people in the library who noticed this, and Hagrid's size was easily recognizable by cats behind bookshelves. Ron, the idiot who knew how to attract attention, thought he had found great evidence, picked up a pile of books from the shelves, ran to Harry, and threw them on the table with excitement, completely oblivious to the three men who were not far from them.
Aitch had to train Neville, and her magical discussions with Hermione stopped. Recently, Hermione was unconvinced and made a detailed revision plan, intending to overtake Aitch in the final exam. By the way, take Harry and the two with him, trying to help them complete the accumulated homework. It's an ordeal for two people who don't like to study. It was easy to divert attention, and Ron seemed extremely excited, and he almost burned Hermione's enthusiasm for learning. He has more information about dragons than Miss Jack-of-all-trades - his eldest brother Charlie studied dragons in Romania. This is one of the few assets that can show off to the two of them, and greatly satisfy his vanity.
Malfoy's ears were straighter than rabbits when they eavesdropped on them! As Harry packed up and left the library, curiosity blinded all their vigilance, and they didn't notice the clumsy tails behind them—Crabbe and Goyle.
Why didn't Malfoy go? He came to Aitch and Neville, and he had something to say to Aitch. The aristocratic education that he was exposed to since he was a child taught Malfoy to be able to bend and stretch, and to treat the strong with considerable respect. The day after the library fight, he came to the door to apologize to Neville. Although the tone was still unpleasant, Malfoy's aristocratic swagger made it hard to imagine that he was apologizing. But he did apologize, at least that's what he thought. However, the apology is more for Aitch to see, this is to mend the relationship with Aitch. Fighting the Ravenclaw Heirs at Hogwarts is something that Gryffindor idiot Ron would insist on.
"Is there something wrong? Malfoy? Aitch put down his homework, and he always had basic courtesy to anyone, not even Ron.
"Edge, I heard that you have recently started training people, I wonder if you can count me as one." Combined with Malfoy's previous look at Neville, he simply said, "Since this guy can participate, then I can too!" ”
"Well, yes, every afternoon in the future, come when you have time." Aitch didn't think much of Neville before agreeing.
Malfoy seemed to have a problem on his mind, and quickly said goodbye, apparently chasing Harry.
Neville's face was very ugly, in his heart, Malfoy was undoubtedly a big mountain, and although he apologized for the "waste" he scolded that day, he still weighed heavily on his heart.
"Neville!" Edge's words rang in his ears like a thunderbolt.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I got distracted." Neville hadn't noticed that Aitch had begun to move on to the next question.
"Listen to me, do you know why I asked Malfoy to come along? It's good for you. With comparison, you have more motivation to improve. Moreover, he has become your heart disease! It's also a chance to give you a chance to teach him a reasonable lesson, to prove that you're not a waste. Edge's gaze seemed to see through Neville's previous thoughts. Evasion will not solve the problem. ”
Neville smiled wryly, "I see. ”
One afternoon a few days later, Aitch and Neville and Malfoy finished their training. Malfoy deliberately falls behind and tells Aitch a powerful "secret" - Hagrid is raising dragons! Malfoy was going to invite Aitch to see it. How many times can a person see a dragon born in a lifetime?
Raising dragons is also Malfoy's most envied thing, his name has a meaning of dragon, and he has wanted to have a dragon of his own since he was a child.
The last time he, Crabbe, and Goyle had gone to follow Harry, and they heard the secret in the corner of Hagrid's house. At lunch today, Ron, a fool, must not have been low-key, so Malfoy heard: the little dragon is about to be born.
Before it was dark, Malfoy and Aitch rushed to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid's house was there.
"It's all petrified!" Aitch quickly disposed of a loyal watchdog, and the two of them lay on their stomachs on the window next to the door. Inside, Hagrid, Harry, Ron, and Hermione were all alive. The four of them fixed all their eyes on the dragon egg, and didn't notice that there were two more uninvited guests outside.
The egg was sitting on the table, and there was a deep crack in the front, and something was wriggling in it, making a strange "gada" sound. Suddenly, there was a bits and pieces of noise coming from inside the egg, and the shell cracked. The little dragon landed on the table with a "plop". It's not very cute, like a crumpled black umbrella. Its weak wings were large compared to its thin body, its nostrils were large, it had a pair of pimple-like horns on its forehead, and its eyes were bulging and orange. It sneezed, and two pillars of sparks flew out of its nostrils.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Hagrid whispered, reaching out a hand to tap its head. It snapped into his fingers, baring its fangs. "It recognizes its mother!" Hagrid's mind is definitely not normal! His aesthetic is already problematic, and now he can't even distinguish between aggression and intimacy. With this appearance and temper, Erwin can throw it off a few diagonal alleys.
"Hagrid," Hermione asked, "how fast has the Norwegian Ridgeback grown?" ”
"It can grow three times as long as it is now in a week, and it can be as big as this house in half a month." Malfoy replied in a low voice, as if he were asking him. It seems that Malfoy really likes dragons, and he is so familiar with it that he can give an answer at once.
But suddenly, Aki pulled him, "Found!" Malfoy was reminded and ran away. Leave Harry, who was looking out in the doorway, a vague back. As for Edge, he had long been hidden in the dark and could not be found.
Ever since he was caught, the three of them couldn't shake up in front of Malfoy, and they were so nervous at the sight of his malicient smile that they were afraid that Malfoy would go to snitch.
