Chapter Twenty-Three: Quirrell's True Face
Ron had consciously or unconsciously distanced himself from Edge, so he and Harry wandered all the way to the lake and sat down under a tree.
Aitch had expected that they would be in peace and no longer meddle, but when he was explaining the exam to Neville, he found Hermione standing in the doorway of the staff's office. Professor Snape walked out and asked Hermione what she was doing, telling Snape that she was waiting for Professor Flitwick, but when Professor Snape walked in to find Professor Flitvy, Hermione left instead.
This is clearly not right. "These guys, how do they know how to meddle!" Neville heard Aitch's complaints. "Neville, I think I need a favor from you."
After dinner, Harry and the three of them sat nervously apart in the common room. No one bothered them, because no one in Gryffindor wanted to talk to Harry because of the previous point deduction. And tonight was the only night he felt better left out.
Hermione was busily reading her notes, hoping to find some magic they would use or need to crack. Harry and Ron rarely spoke, as they both pondered what they should do.
They weren't going to go with Edge, he would find it a lot of trouble and would stop them from making it through the night, as Professor McGonagall did.
Slowly, people were gradually going to bed, and the lounge was empty. When Lee Jordan was finally gone, Harry ran up to their dark dorm room and took out the flute that Hagrid had given him for Christmas.
This afternoon, Harry learns that someone has traded dragon eggs for Hagrid's method of using the three-headed dog - to make him listen to music. Harry didn't want to sing to it.
He ran down and went back to the common room to meet his mates. At this moment, "All petrified!" A voice said in the corner, and then Harry saw a spell strike him in front of him.
At this moment, there are also two sculptural figures in the common room - Hermione and Ron.
All three of them were enchanted, and it must have been Voldemort's minions infiltrating Gryffindor! Harry's mind was filled with despair - if no one came to save them, maybe they would be three corpses in no time!
In the corner of the common room, their killer revealed his true identity - it was Neville, who had ripped a cloak-like piece from his body
Hey, it's Harry's cloak of invisibility! How could it be in Neville's hands?
Neville looked at their stiff, panicked faces, "You're sneaking out again." He judged.
"Aitch was right, you're going to sneak out again at night. But with me, don't think about it. Neville said, "You're going to get caught, and then Gryffindor will have more trouble." ”
Although Harry knew that Neville was by no means Voldemort's minions, (Neville's parents were part of the main force against Voldemort), he was still full of despair when he was bound by magic. He thought: Snape will get the stone, and Voldemort will come back! He'd end his life with the death curse he did with Harry's parents!
He couldn't even open his mouth to ask Neville, let alone explain Snape's plot to him, and the spell sealed all the three men's movements and words.
"I'll take you and Ron back to the dormitory, and as for Hermione, when the magic is gone, we'll go back to the dormitory." Neville had been trained by Aitch and mastered the Levitation Charm so well that he now had no trouble lifting a person.
Harry was thrown on his bed, and the fear of death gripped him like the darkness around him, but he could do nothing but pray to Merlin in his heart that Professor Dumbledore would return soon and stop Snape's plot.
Boom - I don't know at what point, Harry suddenly heard a loud noise, even if the Weasley twins blew up the toilet, there was no such a big movement. But he was still bound and couldn't even shout a word.
When it was dawn, Harry woke up in a daze, glad he had survived, and it seemed to him that Voldemort would have come to his door last night and slit his throat.
Neville folded Harry's cloak and placed it on top of his chest. Ron also fell asleep, and Neville's magic was so powerful that it didn't lift it until they fell asleep. Harry woke Ron up, and the two quickly washed up and rushed to the dining room to find out what happened last night, while Ron muttered an explanation from Neville and Aitch that they almost "destroyed the world!" ”
When they reached the hall, Hermione was looking at Aitch with a puff, chewing on the pumpkin pie in her mouth, and the Weasley twins were on their side, hooking Aitch's neck, asking how many toilet seats had been blown up by the fireworks last night.
Seeing Edge's smiling face, Ron couldn't help but rush up and grab him by the neckline, and Harry couldn't stop him. "Bastard, do you know what stupid thing you made Neville do last night?" This guy doesn't look at the occasion, and Edge's casual roar is enough for him to drink a pot.
This is in front of his two brothers! Seeing his brother's insulting words, the Weasley twins grabbed Ron with a hippie smile and quietly set him up.
"Hey, our brother." George greeted first.
"Later, let's learn how to blow up a toilet with Edge." Fred should be in harmony.
George tacitly added, "We've got to bring back a gift for your sister Ginny!" ”
As he spoke, he led the man aside, not giving Aitch a chance to fight back at all.
Aitch straightened his uniform, said hello to Harry, and left. But no matter what Harry called him, he couldn't hear it. Hermione patted Harry on the shoulder, "This is what Neville gave me last night. As he spoke, he handed him a ball of paper with Edge's handwriting on it:
Want to know the truth? Tomorrow at two o'clock in the afternoon to the top of the tower.
Summer came, and at two o'clock, the sun burned the earth. Harry and the three of them hid in the small shadow of the tower, waiting for someone to come. It was here that Harry saw off the dragon a few weeks ago.
After about a quarter of an hour, a man covered himself in a black cloak came up, and when he saw Harry and the three of them, he closed the door to the top of the tower, revealing his face under the cloak.
That man turned out to be Quirrell.
"It's you!" Harry and the others were shocked.
Quirrell was laughing. But the facial muscles didn't move at all. "It's me," he said lightly. "I wondered if I could meet you here, Potter. What about the Philosopher's Stone? ”
"But, I thought it was Snape—"
"Snape?" Quirrell laughed again. But instead of the usual loud laugh, it was both sharp and cold.
"Yes, Snape is doubtful. It's very useful to have him distracted like a mouse. Without him, who would have doubted the But—But—But—Pitiful, Knot-Kink—Baba Quirrell—Professor? ”
Harry couldn't accept that fact. It won't be true, never! "But Snape once wanted to kill me!"
"No, it's not. It's me who wants to kill you. This friend of yours, Miss Granger, accidentally knocked me down when she set fire to Snape during that Quidditch match. She broke my contact lenses. Otherwise, I'd have gotten you off the broom in a few more seconds, but Snape uttered a counterspell and the kid from Aitch saved you with a levitation charm. ”
"Snape wants to save me?"
"Of course, why would he be a referee in your next match? He was there to deny me a chance to do it again. Hmph, that's funny......" Quirrell said coldly.
"Actually, he didn't have to do it at all, because with Dumbledore watching, I didn't dare to do anything. Everyone thought Snape was blocking Gryffindor's victory, and he was unpopular for it...... Alas, what a waste of time! Anyway, I can still kill you today. ”
Quirrell flicked his fingers, and several ropes suddenly appeared, tying the three Harry and the others tightly.
