Chapter 388: ALFG's Trick
It took Harry a moment to calm Ron's emotions, he knew what Ron was feeling right now.
Harry had been poor, with few pennies in his pocket, and his Uncle Vernon had never been willing to spend an extra shilling on him.
Later, Harry inherited a large inheritance from his parents, but he himself did not have much concept of money itself, and there were not many places to use it, and most of the Galleons he took out of Gringotts last time were still in his pocket except for the things he needed.
"I don't know where they got those Galleons. Ron muttered quietly, he wouldn't be stupid enough to think that Albert was paying for it.
"I kind of know why. Harry recalled, "Remember that flyer on the bulletin board?"
"What advertisement?" Ron asked.
"It's the 'communication card' that keeps us apart. 'Advertisement. Harry said, "I remember the last time I saw Fred and George putting up an ad there, and I was warned by Percy about it, and the contacts were Fred, George and Lee Jordan. β
"You're saying they're making that much Galleon just by selling those so-called communication cards!" Ron couldn't believe what Fred and George were selling, his eyes widening and his face filled with shock.
"Probably that Mr. Anderson asked them to help sell something, and then gave them money. Harry still knew something, explained to Ron.
After all, Harry had lived in the Muggle world before, and Albert's approach was all too common in the Muggle world.
"But why didn't he sell it himself?" Ron couldn't understand, if he did, he would definitely be on his own......
"I don't know, it's probably ......" Harry didn't know much about Albert, but he had heard that he was a very talented man, and seemed to be very rich...... Presumably...... Don't want to waste time!"
Harry didn't think there was anything wrong with Albert's approach, and he would probably do the same, if he could think of it.
"Why am I not the one who makes the money?"
Ron was the next to think of it, and even though he knew the reason, he was still depressed.
Next to him, Harry took out a piece of parchment from his pocket, this is a treasure map, on which is written in a very ornate flowery script: Juniors, congratulations on discovering the treasure we left behind, go look for it, we put all the treasures there. ββALFG
"ALFG?" Harry said softly, turning to Ron next to him, "This must be a very nasty fellow." β
Ron looked at the treasure map carefully, frowned slightly, and asked, "Where did you get this?"
"The last time I did my homework, I found it in a borrowed book from the school library!" Harry hadn't tried to hide it.
At that time, he noticed that several pages of parchment had been glued together, and when he looked closely, he found that the treasure map was hidden inside.
"Maybe they're playing tricks on us. Ron looked at the old parchment and frowned, "This summer, Fred and George bragged to us that they had found Gryffindor's secret treasure through a piece of parchment. β
Speaking of this, Ron's eyes couldn't help but be filled with contempt, and he knew that it was impossible to think about it, not to mention that Fred and George boasted to him that they had defeated trolls, defeated giant spiders, and found the treasure hidden by Gryffindor after many tests.
As soon as you hear about it, you know that it is false.
However, it felt a little strange to connect with the old treasure map in Harry's possession.
Is it true?
Ron used his little-thinking brain, and the answer he came up with was:.
"Let's go together!"
Harry thought for a moment and said he didn't want Ron to continue to be upset by what had just happened, and he always found treasure hunting interesting.
"Hmm. β
Ron agreed, and since Harry wanted to go on a treasure hunt, he went along.
"What does that mean, though. Harry pointed to the marker on the other side of the treasure map, which looked like a map.
"I don't know. Ron looked at the map, feeling irritated, "Probably a map somewhere in the castle." β
"What does a ghost have to do with the toilet?" said Harry, confused, looking at a few simple portraits next to the map.
"And ...... This thing should be a pumpkin?" Ron guessed, "Ghosts and pumpkins, could it be Halloween?"
"I don't think so, what does the toilet mean?" Harry was even more confused, he was completely bad at solving puzzles. "Also, this is a map of the castle?"
"It should be...... A map of the second floor of the castle!" Ron said after taking a closer look.
"If this is a map of the second floor," Harry said, "but is there a bathroom on the second floor?"
"Like...... No. Uh-huh, wait, there's a malfunctioning bathroom?" Ron's eyes lit up, and he felt as if he had guessed something.
"But what do you mean by ghosts and pumpkins?"
"Hagrid's pumpkin field?"
Harry often ran to Hagrid's side, remembering that there was a large pumpkin field next to Hagrid's hut, which had been specially prepared for Halloween.
"So, what does a ghost mean?"
Harry felt that his brain was not enough, and he was really not good at guessing puzzles, but he was going to try his luck on the second floor first, and maybe he could meet a ghost or something. β
However, the two walked around the second floor of the castle and did not encounter any ghosts.
In the end, they decided to go to the malfunctioning lavatory to see if they could find a clue.
"Can't go in. β
Ron stopped Harry as he reached for the brass handle and was about to push the door.
"What's going on?" Harry asked, confused.
"It's a girls' bathroom. Ron pointed to the marker, frowning. Moreover, he heard footsteps coming this way.
"What are you going to do?"
Hermione stopped Ron and Harry, who were about to break into the break-in girls' bathroom, and looked at the two in front of them with very strange eyes.
"We're on a treasure hunt. Harry couldn't help but be a little embarrassed, and quickly stepped back, explaining to Hermione why he wanted to go into the girls' bathroom, he didn't want to be misunderstood.
"Don't think you can do this kind of thing with an excuse. If you dare to do that, I'll go tell Professor McGonagall. Hermione looked at the two of them with disgust and said, "Last semester, one of our students in the house did this and was almost expelled from the school. β
Harry and Ron opened their mouths, not sure what to say.
"I hope I don't see you guys packing up next time and getting out of here?"
With that, Hermione turned and left.
"Really?" asked Harry dumbly.
"How do I know, what now?" Ron looked at Harry with distraught, his mother would surely kill him if he was expelled for this.
"I'll go in myself!" Harry said, gritting his teeth, "You bring it here, and someone will remind me when they come." β
"Forget it, I'll go in with you!" Ron didn't want to stay outside, what if someone misunderstood?
As soon as the two pushed the door and entered the girls' bathroom, they met a crying myrtle.
"I think the ghost is supposed to be her. Ron pointed to the ghost girl in front of him and said to Harry.
"I know I'm dead, so I don't need you to tell me again. The weeping Myrtle glared disapprovingly at the two students who had trespassed on her territory.
"Do you know where the treasure is?" asked Harry, straight to the point, he really didn't want to stay here any longer if he could.
"Oh, yes, yes. Someone once told me that if someone came here looking for something, tell him 'fifteen'. The weeping myrtle suddenly giggled.
"What do you mean?" Ron asked, confused.
"I don't know. Myrtle said happily.
"Who told you to say that. Harry asked curiously, and the ghost must have been the creator of the treasure map.
"A handsome teenager. Myrtle chuckled, "He won't let me tell anyone else his name." β
With that, the ghost floated away.
"What do you think fifteen means?"
"We'd better get out of here. Ron said uneasily, "Don't let people see us in the girls' bathroom." β
Harry also felt that Ron had a point, and as soon as they walked out of the girls' bathroom, they heard footsteps walking towards them.
The two couldn't help but feel a twitch in their hearts, and when they looked up, they found that they were acquaintances.
"Harry, Ron, what are you doing here?" George said with an eyebrow raised as he looked up at the room they had just come out of
"What are you doing in the girls' bathroom?" Fred asked, surprised.
"No, no, we!"
"Okay, I see, you guys should get out of here, and don't let anyone else see it. Albert interrupted, "I remember last year Marcus McLagan pretending to be stupid and trying to break into the girls' bathroom, only to be caught by the girls, and his reputation was so bad that no girl wanted to date him anymore. "Lee Jordan has a look on his face that you're going to learn a lesson.
"This ...... We're not ......."
The two of them were flushed, and they didn't know what to say for a while.
