Chapter 13: Unexpected Visitors
Jason lay on the bed, his eyes as wide as a pair of small green light bulbs staring at the chandelier on the ceiling, his mind full of useless clues, and he couldn't understand why Bruce was so interested in these useless clues. Eventually, however, the spell of drowsiness took over, and the tired body and mind unconsciously accepted the call of the god of sleep. When Jason woke up again, he found that the sun was already high in the sky.
"Oh my God, it's too late!"
He quickly got up and ran to the restaurant, where Alfred was roasting to fresh refreshments.
"Morning, Master Jason, I'm getting up a little late today."
"I'm sorry, Ah Fu"
"It's okay, do you want to accompany milk or milk tea?"
"Milk"
Ever since Jason learned that drinking milk could make him taller, all of his drinks have been replaced by milk. Alfred was not surprised by Jason's request, and soon a hot glass of milk with a hearty breakfast was placed in front of Jason.
“... Have a guest today? ”
Alfred seemed to be roasting more refreshments than ever before.
"Yes, then I'll go down there and deliver refreshments to Master Bruce and his friends, Master Jason eat slowly"
Jason looked at Alfred's disappearing back and let out a sigh of emotion:
"Hey~ Bruce still has friends."
This made Jason a little curious, the playboy who swept the whole of Gotham, because of his unknown double life, so that Jason never saw anyone visit him as a friend after living in Wayne Manor.
While Jason was wildly guessing what kind of person Bruce's friend was, while eating the food on the plate, he suddenly remembered the details that passed by Alfred's words:
“.... Strange, Alfred said let's go down there and deliver refreshments."
Wayne Manor is an old manor with a history, and this kind of large manor naturally has an underground wine cellar where the best wines are stored, but even if Jason knows nothing about the social etiquette of high society, he knows that no one will run to entertain guests in the cellar, and even if there is, it is just a simple visit, and no one will hold a tea party in it.
Well, in the whole manor, it can be called the place below, and there is only one - the Bat Cave.
"Oh my goodness, it's a friend of Batman"
If Bruce had friends that surprised Jason, the news that Batman had friends was enough to scare Jason enough.
After scrambling the rest of the food into his mouth and throwing the empty plate into the dishwasher, Jason changed into his uniform and walked down the elevator to the Batcave.
"Thanks, Alfred, your black tea is delicious."
"It is my pleasure to appreciate your appreciation, sir"
As soon as the elevator door opened, an unfamiliar voice came from the hole.
Jason didn't go in directly, but hid in the corner of the elevator entrance, probing his head to look inside.
Bruce was still sitting in front of the computer and didn't know what he was doing, and he couldn't see Alfrey or Batman's friend from Jason's point of view.
But Jason didn't wait long, and soon a strange and familiar figure appeared in his field of vision.
Jason hadn't met him, but he was never lacking in awareness of the Met's superhero, and the red, blue, and yellow figure could always be seen in some newspapers he picked up. And at this moment, the figure that would only appear in the newspaper is now standing next to Batman, looking at the computer screen with him, while saying something Jason doesn't understand very well, Batman is not even wearing a helmet....
"Oh my god, Batman's friend is Superman"
Jason's whispered self-talk naturally couldn't hide Superman's super hearing, Superman looked in Jason's direction, and after seeing the familiar uniform, he froze.
"Bruce, you've got a new Robin?"
Superman's title of Batman once again frightened Jason, and he actually called Bruce by his name.
"Didn't you already know?"
"You didn't tell me"
"Dick told you a long time ago."
"He's just saying he has a successor"
Bruce didn't continue Superman's words, and turned his head to look up at Jason and motioned for him to come over.
Seeing that he had been discovered, Jason had no choice but to walk out of the blind corner and walk to the computer.
"Jason, this is Superman"
Bruce made a simple introduction, even if he didn't introduce Jason, it was impossible to admit that he was wrong, and he could wear such a rustic three primary colors so handsomely, and it was probably the one in front of him.
"Hello Jason, I'm Superman"
"Uhhh Hi! Hello.. I am... Robin"
"Well, I know"
Superman said hello to Jason and turned around to continue discussing something with Bruce, both of them focused on the computer, clicking on something from time to time and then the two of them continued to discuss something.
Jason didn't listen to what they were talking about, and his brain hadn't digested the fact that Batman had friends and his friends were Superman.
Two eyes stared at the red cloak. Superman's super senses were naturally very clear about Jason's gaze glued to him, but every time he turned around, he found Jason's twisted head and pretending to be indifferent to blowing the milk in his hand, which made him feel funny.
[Haha! It's really like Bruce]
Jason's cat-like observation reminds Superman of the same way he did when he first met Bruce, even though Bruce didn't turn his head away and pretend not to be looking at him.
"Jason, I'm going out with Superman for a bit, you're training at home today"
Bruce turned his head and admonished Jason, then brought the conversation back to the topic they had discussed at the beginning:
"I need to go there and actually check it out"
"That's what I mean, you say it has nothing to do with the scarecrow?"
"It's hard to say, I have to get a gas sample."
"I compared the sample you gave me last time, and it's a little different"
"Maybe it's a newly developed poison gas, but there is never only one scarecrow gas"
Superman and Bruce eventually come to some kind of agreement, and Superman flies with Batman towards the tarmac above the Batcave.
"It's not easy to park the plane in that place, so I'll take you there."
"No, my plane doesn't have to stop at the airport"
"Well, you have the final say"
Not at all surprised by Bruce's rejection, Superman said hello to Alfred and flew out of the cave with the bat plane, which Jason initially thought was impossible to park in the cave.
“.... He really can fly...."
