Chapter 587: Confucius's Path to Enlightenment
Confucius believed that Lao Tzu jumped here and there to preach all day long, and there was not much audience. His audience is a few dozen people at a time, not more than a few hundred. Once the number of people increases, it will attract the attention of the government and hereditary nobles, and someone will come to cause trouble.
Because! In Lao Tzu's Taoism, there are "reactionary" thoughts! He is preaching the idea that man and all things are equal, is he not openly violating the Great Zhou system and the reality system?
Even though your mind is correct, your mind is ahead of its time.
Do you let kings, hereditary nobles, merchants, and eunuchs live like commoners? You're not? Are you fooling kings, hereditary nobles, merchants, and eunuchs?
If you persuade others to live a good life, they still have hope for life! Isn't it?
So! Confucius believed that Lao Tzu's thought was "the thought of the poor", which could only be heard by those who lived in poverty, and was not suitable for those who lived in wealth.
The people's yearning for a better life is our goal!
In fact! Confucius, as well as later scholars, have a biased understanding of Lao Zhuang's philosophy. Lao Zhuang's philosophy does not promote the idea of the poor, and it does not make us live a poor life. But! We need to recognize the essence of life.
We can live a prosperous life, so why give it up?
If that's the case? Taoism does not have: the big hidden in the court, the middle hidden in the city, and the small hidden in the wild.
The life of a person who is hidden in the court is definitely richer than that of the middle hermit. And the people who are hidden in the city are definitely much more convenient than the people who are hidden in the city. Xiao Yin's people, in terms of life, are not only lagging behind, but also inconvenient. Living alone away from crowds or living in a small number of people is somewhat inconvenient, isn't it?
Kings, hereditary nobles, merchants, and eunuchs did not accept Taoism because they did not thoroughly understand Taoism and did not understand life. But it doesn't mean that all kings, hereditary nobles, merchants, and eunuchs don't understand or accept it.
If you understand it this way, it is also biased. It should be: most of the kings, hereditary nobles, merchants, and eunuchs did not understand the Taoist doctrine, but not all of them.
Failing to abandon the old ideas and accepting the new ideas and the correct new ideas can only be said to maintain the status quo and continue to perpetuate social problems and contradictions, but it cannot solve the problems fundamentally.
Confucius believed that Lao Tzu's methods of spreading Taoism were too backward and too slow. Only a few dozen people are transmitted at a time, and how many people are transmitted in a year? Isn't it?
If you become an official, if you continue to promote it in an all-round way, even if it is a local petty official, a city chief, or a policy, it will be at least a few hundred or several thousand people. If it were a governor, it would be tens of thousands. If you want a king or a king's ministers, it will affect the people of a country......
If it's the Son of Heaven? So! It affects the whole world.
Lao Tzu's Taoism also talks about self-cultivation, but! The starting point is different. Taoist self-cultivation is from the perspective of human nature and lacks a sense of social responsibility.
And Confucius believes that self-cultivation is from the perspective of catering to social management.
Confucius believed: Under the whole world, it is not the king's land. We can't escape, we can't change the real environment, it's better to accept the reality, adapt to the reality, and then slowly change the real environment.
Therefore, it is believed that Lao Tzu's Taoism is divorced from reality.
Lao Tzu is correct in believing that man and all things are equal. But! He didn't combine it with reality! Under the whole world, it is not the king's land. You have to talk about your Taoism from this point of view, you don't want to talk about the future! Only from a realistic point of view can it be practical and more acceptable to the world.
Taoist self-cultivation is mainly from the perspective of human nature, and self-cultivation is from the root of human nature. But! Dissociated. Under the whole world, it is not the king's land. We can't escape, we can't change the real environment, it's better to accept the reality, adapt to the reality, and then slowly change the real environment.
So! Confucius believed that only by continuing to promote the Zhou rites and the Zhou system, improving the Zhou rites and the Zhou system, and adapting the Zhou rites and Zhou system to the needs of the new period, can we best cultivate ourselves.
is still the same sentence: No matter whether the world abides by the weekly rites and the weekly system, I Kong Qiu alone must stick to it! Believe! Under the leadership of my Kongqiu, the world will definitely respond.
Lao Tzu scolded me for being stupid! I'm stupid! Self-denial is self-suffering, but I am willing! In order to save the world, I, Kongqiu, are willing! I, Kongqiu, am willing to give my life, how much more bitter?
As long as the world is saved, what is the life and suffering of my Kongqiu?
So! Confucius believed that Lao Tzu and Lao Tzu's Taoism were the thoughts of a person without responsibility!
If a person has no responsibility, what if he goes to self-cultivation? And how to reorganize society?
Lao Tzu said: Survival is the bottom line of human beings and all things. Once it affects survival, people and everything will rebel.
But? If we don't have a sense of social responsibility, how can we organize against foreign enemies? Isn't it?
Lao Tzu said: The state has always existed!
But Lao Tzu's Taoism also said that the state is only a temporary institution in the development of human society, and ultimately does not exist.
What are the theories?
Confucius disagreed!
Lao Tzu's Taoism is like a springboard, a moment of reality, a moment of theory, giving people a feeling of being in the clouds, which is not easy for ordinary people to understand.
Anyway! Confucius decided: Out of office! Only by being out of office can we save the world!
Only self-cultivation, moral cultivation, self-denial, and being an example to the world can save the world!
Time passed in anxiety day by day, and finally waited for the spring festival.
Ji Pingzi and others have not come to urge him to go to Qi State.
Lu Zhaogong's side sent someone to ask him to come over to do things. Confucius took advantage of this opportunity to go to Lu Zhaogong and explain the reason to him. When Lu Gong heard that he was going to Qi State, he was supportive.
The lost land of Qi State, Lu Gong has a number in his heart, and he will not come back. But! Let Confucius go over and try it, not in the name of the state, but in the side of an envoy to ask for it.
Lu Zhaogong didn't feel it, driving Confucius away was a signal, a signal that Ji Pingzi and others were going to attack him. Opposite! I think I can let Confucius go to Qi to show his talent. And then! You can return to China for reuse.
In this case, Confucius had no choice but to go.
After the spring festival, the weather is warmer. Confucius went to Ji Pingzi's house, bid farewell to Ji Pingzi and others, and received the travel expenses. The next day, he embarked on the road to the country of Qi to seek benevolence.
This day! There were no official send-offs, only the cries of Qi Guanshi and Kong Li, as well as nieces and daughters.
The sun in the east hangs red in the sky, giving it a lazy feeling. Confucius did not take a carriage and walked away. His figure seemed lonely, getting smaller and smaller, and gradually disappeared from everyone's sight.
Zilu and the others stood on a high place and looked at the back of Mr.
