Chapter 52: Stop the Penguin Man

The liquid of the infusion bottle flowed into the blood vessels of the person lying on the simple hospital bed little by little, and in the worried eyes of everyone, the black figure slowly moved, first pointing and then body, until a muffled snort came out from the depths of his throat, and the people around him finally put their hearts at ease, it seemed that it was indeed the poisonous gas stock solution made by the scarecrow, and the antidote in the bat cave worked.

Bruce opened his eyes, the light above the hospital bed made him feel a little wrong, and the steel-blue pupils were hidden behind the eyelids, and after a while, he opened his eyes again and tried to get up from the bed.

"Bruce, you're poisoned"

Clark senses Bruce's movements and hurriedly tries to stop him.

Bruce glanced at Superman, and seemed completely surprised as to why he was here, and his cold voice conveyed his reasoning:

"The Penguin Man is already on the move, and if you let him start it, I'm afraid the machine will turn into a disaster that even you will feel stinging."

Bruce removed the needle from his arm and prepared himself to be fully armed.

"Looks like you've found out what he's trying to do?"

"The theft of the storm simulation equipment was accompanied by the theft of the experimental results of an energy multiplication program"

Bruce knew when he saw the scale of the machine that the Penguin was not satisfied with a small storm, and that his intention was to have a giant storm that could destroy all of Gotham.

β€œ.... We can get that energy gem in our hands first."

Jason's voice suddenly cut in, interrupting Clark and Bruce's conversation.

β€œ.. Isn't it? Anyway, the penguins need that stone."

Seeing the two of them looking at him together, Jason was a little worried about whether he had said something wrong.

"No, you're right, but it's a pity that we're one step too slow, and this morning we lost a valuable gem in the bright starry sky, and the police judged that there was a ghost."

Bruce put on his full gear and walked over to the computer to start making plans.

"It's my fault, the Riddler went there to find the Holy Heart but didn't gain anything because of Batman's appearance, but Bruce. Wayne's visit reveals the location of the Holy Heart, and the Penguins may have already planted an inside line in the store. ”

Now that the Penguin's secret location has been discovered, Batman has sensed his purpose, and it is impossible to transport a device of that size all at once, so the Penguin must have started to debug the device with the intention of creating a storm that could destroy the whole of Gotham, and then start rebuilding it as a philanthropic entrepreneur for a huge profit!

"Need help? Bruce? ”

Superman kindly suggested, although he already knew the answer.

"No, Jason goes prepare"

Bruce didn't seem to care at all about Jason's trespass, which caused the surprise attack, and instead asked Jason to prepare.

"He's a good smart boy, isn't he?"

Clark said with a smile as he looked at Jason's back as he left happily. Before Bruce woke up, Jason had been worried about letting Bruce down because of his mistakes.

β€œ... Some are too smart."

Bruce is worried about Jason's unruliness carved into his bones, and he only hopes that he can correct this point in Jason in the future.

"Well, you really don't need my help?"

Clark looked at Bruce's side face and suggested again.

"No"

"Okay, then I'll go back"

"I can solve it myself, I don't need you to interfere, don't stand outside the atmosphere and monitor"

Bruce knew the man well, and he wouldn't believe that after knowing the Penguin's purpose, the man would go back to sleep with the act of pretending that nothing had happened.

"Nerve-wracking, Ah Fu, can I take these cookies with me?"

"Of course, your liking is the greatest compliment to me, I'll find you a box, Master Clark"

When Clark was about to leave from an exit in the Batcave with the packed cookies, he found Jason standing next to the Batmobile in full gear, and after thinking about it, he still landed next to Jason lightly and whispered:

"Call me if you need help, okay?"

Clark's blue eyes, as clear as clear as the sky, stared straight at Jason, who had never seen such pure blue in a human eye.

Under the gaze of those blue eyes, Jason nodded unconsciously.

The Batcar sped the two men towards the warehouse where the Penguin Man's conspiracy was hidden, and the silence in the car made Jason nervous. He's already made a mistake once, and he definitely can't make a second mistake.

"Robin"

Bruce's voice came from the side, startling Jason.

"Don't rely on Superman"

Bruce apparently overheard Clark and Jason's conversation in the Batcave. Bruce had said this to him before, and Dick had told Jason that Bruce had taught him the same.

β€œ.. Why? ”

After thinking about it, Jason decided to ask his doubts, wouldn't it be better if he had Superman's help?

"He's not perfect, his great strength makes him a little naΓ―ve about humans, Superman has fought with the Joker before, and despite the power gap, he's almost played by the Joker, and if he gets too involved in Gotham events, he's likely to be used by the Joker, a criminal at heart."

Bruce's words silenced Jason for a moment before asking:

"Doesn't he have a super brain?"

With the presence of Dick's superman fan, Jason can treasure almost all of Superman's superpowers.

"IQ is not the same as how much we know about human nature. He's smart, but that doesn't mean he knows more about human nature than the Joker. Harley Quinn used to be the Joker's psychiatrist, but she was brainwashed by the Joker into his assistant, and that madman probably knows more about human nature than anyone else."

"Even you're not as good as him?"

Jason felt that Bruce knew enough about human nature, and he couldn't believe that the Joker was a madman better than Bruce in this regard.

Bruce didn't answer the question, and moved on to the bald Luther of the Met. Although Jason knew from Dick's mouth that Luthor had an inexplicable hostility towards Superman, it was then that he realized that Luthor had always wanted to use Superman's DNA to clone a Superman who could be controlled by himself, and he also had something that could kill Superman - Kryptonite. If Superman was too focused on Gotham, that Luthor guy might be doing something.

The conversation between the two was interrupted by a gust of wind, and although the exact weight of the Batmobile was unknown, it was the first time that Jason had experienced the feeling of being tossed and turned while sitting in the Batmobile.

"Fasten your seatbelts"

Bruce's calm voice soothed Jason's somewhat flustered mood. Then Bruce increased the throttle, and the usually quiet Batmobile suddenly let out a loud roar, and the black Batmobile was like a black sword shuttling rapidly through the increasingly strong storm, speeding towards the center of the storm.
