Three, two, six, the countryside will not return

February 18, 1912, the first day of the Lunar New Year. High-speed updates //

rì Ben.

Before the Meiji Restoration, rìben used the yīn solar calendar, which was modified from the summer calendar, to count the year, and also celebrated the Chinese New Year's Eve on the 30th day of the Chinese New Year's Eve and the chūn festival on the first day of the new year. Vigils, bell ringing, and New Year's money are no different from those in China. After the Meiji Restoration, all Chinese traditions were discarded as dross. In 1873, the Gregorian calendar was adopted and January 1 of the Gregorian calendar was designated as the New Year. With Fukuzawa's 1885 publication of the "Break from Asia and Join Europe", the custom of passing the chūn festival gradually disappeared in most parts of the rì book.

For the first two years, the chūn festival was no different from the usual rìzi. Just because this year's day falls on a Sunday, the streets of Rìmoto are a little more lively than usual. On the door of a house in the mountains of Kobe, at this time, there was actually a couplet with a 10,000-year-old red that read:

Suddenly acacia, adding a few more cries;

Looking back repeatedly, it is a pity that there is a country.

This couplet of Song poetry is very much in line with the plaque on the door that reads "Stay Chūn Villa", which shows the good intentions of the writer.

After seven or eight o'clock, visitors began to arrive one after another. Although the guests were both Chinese and rì himself, the meeting was a bow, and it could be seen that they all came specially to pay New Year's greetings, and the one who came forward to greet everyone was Liang Qichao, who was famous at home and abroad. Visitors were welcomed into the living room, where they sat on tatami mats, sipping hot tea and saying good words of congratulations and blessings. During this period, visitors kept getting up to say goodbye, and new visitors were constantly joining in. By noon, there were only a few close friends left in the house. Finally able to say something confidant....

As Liang Qichao's junior disciple, Mai Menghua took the lead in asking: "Ren Gong, in a few days, you will be forty years old." Confucius Ziyun: 'Forty is not confused. 'I don't know if Brother Ren is confused or not?' ”

Liang Qichao was born on February 23, 1873. According to China's imaginary age algorithm and the custom of "passing nine but not ten", it is true that you will be forty years old in a few days.

Liang Qichao sighed when he heard this: "Yes, in the blink of an eye, the foolish brother has reached the age of forty and is not confused!" Looking back on the past 40 years, I saw that the society was overthrown, the monarch abdicated, the people's livelihood withered, and nothing was achieved in his life. I felt that the five were burning. Now that he is living abroad, his horse's teeth are increasing, and he is really ashamed of his parents' teachings, teachers' training, and the grace of the king! ”

Mak Menghua said: "Although the community has collapsed. However, the society is still there; Although the king abdicated, the king still existed; Although people's livelihood is withering, people's livelihood can be saved. Therefore, we must not be discouraged, and strive to serve the country with the rest of my life. Turn the tide on the tide. Supporting the building in the general tilt, so that the monarch is restored, and the national unity is restored, so as to live up to the teachings of parents, the training of teachers, and the grace of the monarch. Brother Ren is now in the prime of life, and he is the prestige of the sea, so he should hurry up and let the teacher Mr. Nanhai rest a little! ”

Liang Qichao shook his head: "Rubo, if you had said this to me a year ago, the foolish brother would have lived up to his teacher's efforts." This is the situation in the country now. Even if it is not possible to achieve a virtual monarchy republic, how can it be possible to return to the previous monarch**? ”

Mai Menghua was stunned: "What does Ren Gong plan to do in the future?" ”

Liang Qichao said: "In the past. For example, yesterday rì died; In the future, such as the present rì life. The foolish brother is now wandering in the pine and forest, thinking about the world alone, comprehending the philosophy of all things, feeling quite relaxed and comfortable, and it is unknown how long he will end up with this. ”

Mai Menghua smiled: At the end of last year, he was still writing "The Principles of Finance" and "The Problem of the Construction of New China," and now he plans to write "Discussion on the Major Principles for the Founding of China" and "Discussion on Fiscal Issues." How could such a person who was bent on saving the world and actively offering advice to the ruler be willing to roar and rest in the mountains and forests?

Xu Fusu asked: "Ren Gong, didn't you still uphold the political system of a hypocrisy and a republic when you published the article "The Construction of New China" in September and October last year? ”

Liang Qichao said: "Not bad! At that time, he carefully analyzed various advanced Western political systems and compared them with each other, and believed that China was the most suitable for the British-style hypocritical republic. Because the implementation of an American-style republic in a Chinese society that is full of slaves will inevitably lead to a tragic situation in which warlords will continue to fight and the people will be displaced, and China will not be able to return to peace for a long time. China is surrounded by great powers, and if there is no tenacious and unified zhongyāngzhèngfǔ to guide the country towards prosperity and strength, it is likely to become their predator. In fact, as early as eight or nine years ago, Sun Baixi said it to Zaixia, and it is only now that Rì Zaixia gradually understands, which shows that Liang is dull!

"The more it is placed on a high platform, the more it increases its mystery, and in the end it is enough to make the subjects prostrate and reverent. Therefore, the royal family preaches 'one line for all generations', and Western monarchs have called it 'divine authority of the monarch', and our country says 'true dragon son of heaven'. Now that the emperor has announced his abdication and the republican form of government has begun to take shape, the monarchy has fallen like a vessel to dust and shattered, and the world has seen it as it is. Even if it is glued together now and then put on the throne of God, who still has the heart to revere it? Therefore, not to mention a constitutional monarchy now, it is difficult to implement a hypothetical republic. ”

Xu Fusu said: "Could it be that Ren Gong plans to send his love to the landscape and return to the countryside?" ”

Liang Qichao said indignantly: "What else can I do in addition to sending love to the landscape and returning to the countryside? Newspaper? No money! Form a party? No one! Politics? No right! What else can you do besides hiding in the yard every day to read books and write? ”

Liang Qichao was talking about himself on the surface, but in fact, he was vaguely expressing his dissatisfaction with the teacher Kang Youwei in front of Mai Menghua.

Kang Youwei's idea of "reform and reform" was only popular for a few years between the First Sino-Japanese War (1894) and the Wuxu Reform (1898). Since the Gengzi Revolution (1900), this proposition has become more and more distant from the times, and finally fell into a dead end. However, Kang Youwei always held on to the royalist proposition, and did not allow his students to abandon the secret and turn to the light, and the slightest disobedience was slapped, and he was often severely reprimanded with the big hat of "bullying the teacher and destroying the ancestors" and "great rebellion". Therefore, most of the students were hindered by the dignity of the teacher, and could not cross the thunder pool by half a step, so they could only follow him all the way to the dark.

And Kang Youwei is very ambitious. His goal was to transform Confucianism into Confucianism and become the head of Confucianism after Confucius founded Confucianism. Standing side by side with Confucius and surpassing Confucius has become an inseparable dream for Kang Youwei. Thereupon. He gave himself the name "Chang (zhang) Su", that is, Chang Yu Su Wang (Su Wang is Confucius), and his disciples called him the sect master, the sage of the South China Sea, etc. This shows Kang Nanhai's ambition. Not only that, but he also named his five proud disciples:

Chen Qianqiu's "super return", that is, more than Yan Hui. It is said that Chen Qianqiu and Yan Hui are quite similar in two points: first, Yan Hui is the head of the seventy-two sages of Confucius, and Chen Qianqiu is the eldest disciple of Kang Youwei's top ten disciples. He used to be the senior of Wanmu Thatched Cottage; The second point is that Yan Hui died early, and so did Chen Qianqiu. It can be seen that Kang Youwei still put a lot of thought into taking the number.

Liang Qichao "Yici". That is, more than Zigong. Duanmu Ci, the word Zigong, is Confucius's closest protégé, and once called it "the vessel of Hu Lian". From this number, it can be seen how satisfied Kang Youwei is with Liang Qichao. Therefore, Kang Youwei also paid great attention to Liang Qichao. He is not allowed to deviate slightly. Under the influence of this stubborn "royalist" label, Liang Qichao went to Taiwan in 1910 to raise funds, but he didn't receive anything!

Mai Menghua "drove Mengzi", that is, above Mencius. Mai Menghua is not only a loyal disciple of Kang Youwei, but also his son-in-law. One of the reasons why Liang Qichao expressed his dissatisfaction in front of him this time was because Kang Youwei and Mai Menghua had a son-in-law. Mai Menghua was as famous as Liang Qichao when he was a teenager, and was known as "Liang Mai" among the disciples of Wanmu Thatched Cottage.

Cao Tai's "Yue Ling", that is, beyond Zisi. Kong Ling. Zisi, the grandson of Confucius. He was revered as a "saint" by later generations. Cao Tai is as famous as Chen Qianqiu, but he also died very early.

Han Wen raised the name "ride ginseng", that is, the meaning of chasing Zeng Shen, and Tang Degang jokingly said that "Zeng Shen is used as a horse to ride". He was a proud disciple of Confucius and received the true biography of Confucius, and later generations believed that "University" and "Book of Filial Piety" were his works. Han Wenju is also the senior of Wanmu Thatched Cottage.

Not only was Confucius determined to be surpassed by Kang Youwei, but also the four sages of Confucius (Yasheng Mengke, Fusheng Yan Hui, Shushengzi Sizi, Zongsheng Zeng Shen) and proud disciples were all ravaged by Kangmen's disciples, which shows Kang Youwei's arrogance. In this regard, Zhang Taiyan accurately judged Kang Youwei with two words: vain.

Xu Fusu said: "Now overseas Chinese are really not interested in the royalist theory, it is more difficult to raise donations, and it is understandable that they have no money to run a newspaper. However, the younger brother remembers that not long ago, Tang Jiwu (Tang Hualong), Lin Zongmeng (Lin Changmin, the father of the famous beauty Lin Huiyin of the Republic of China), Sun Bolan (Sun Hongyi), Zhang Shilin (that is, the famous philosopher Zhang Junmao) and others initiated the establishment of a symposium on the construction of the republic in Shanghai, and invited you to join the meeting. The person in charge of the meeting also often exchanged letters with you to discuss various issues in the construction of the Republic of China, and there was a faint implication that Ren Gong was the leader of the association. Why do you still say that there is no one to form a party? ”

Liang Qichao snorted coldly: "The reason why they invited Zai Xia to join the club is for two purposes, one is to recruit others to join the club under the guise of Zaixia; The second is to use Zai Xia as a staff member to help come up with an idea every once in a while. What is the leader of the hidden party, the leader of the god jīng? It's just ** medicine! ”

Xu Fusu asked again: "What about politics?" When Yuan Xiangcheng went out of the mountain last year, he invited you to return to the country to take up a post, but you insisted on resigning; Now Liang Yansun (Liang Shiyi) counted and asked you to go out of the mountain, but you politely refused. It's clear that you don't want to be in politics, why do you say that you don't have power? ”

Liang Qichao said angrily: "If I return to China to take up a post, what position can the highway give me?" ”

Highway, the word of Yuan Shu of the Three Kingdoms, here refers to Yuan Shikai. This kind of writing trick was often used in telegrams, rì notes, and newspapers in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and those who are familiar with historical allusions will automatically translate them into real names when they see them, while those who are not familiar with them are like falling into clouds and mist, completely ignorant of what they are talking about. In fact, it is just a very simple allusion association game, and the routines can be roughly divided into five types:

The first is to use the names, characters, numbers, and origins of ancient characters with the same surname to refer to modern people, which is the most common, and it is common to have a court (Tang Dynasty calligrapher Sun Guoting; Borrowed to refer to Sun Yat-sen), Shudu (Eastern Han Dynasty celebrity Huang Xian, the word Shudu; Borrowed to refer to Huang Xing), Guishan (Northern Song Dynasty scholar Yang Shi, called Guishan; borrowed to refer to Yang Du), Jiangling (Ming Dynasty Shoufu Zhang Juzheng, Huguang Jiangling people; borrowed to refer to Zhang Jian);

The second is to use the name, character, number, and place of origin of the person with the same name to refer to modern people, such as Juyuan (Bamboo Forest Seven Sages Shantao, the word Juyuan; borrowed to refer to Zaitao);

The third is to use the radicals of the name to refer to someone, such as 山公 (岑chūn煊), Tutou (Yuan Shikai);

The fourth is that someone in the allusion refers to modern people, which is also many and very obscure, such as the Duke of Zhou (Zhou Gong regent auxiliary king; Borrowed to refer to the regent Zaifeng), mound bone ("Three Kingdoms": "Yuan Highway is worried about the country and forgets the evil of the family? The dry bones in the mound, why mind? "Borrowing to refer to Yuan Shikai), Chengbei ("Warring States Policy": "Chengbei Xu Gong, the beautiful person of Qi State"; Referring to Xu Shichang);

The fifth type is the surname, first name, character, number, and place of origin of modern people, on the other hand, which seems to be almost incomprehensible, such as Beijiang (actually refers to Kang Youwei, a native of Nanhai, Guangdong; south to north, river to sea);

Xu Fusu said: "Last year, Yuan Xiangcheng agreed to be the vice minister of the Ministry of Law, if Mr. returned to China earlier this year, he would not have spent the post of chief justice of the cabinet!" (To be continued.) )
