Chapter 193: The Silver Hand's Choice
The battle on the Wall of Greymane is at a stalemate. Pen "Fun" Pavilion www.biquge.info
As the battle continued, the cause of the Battle of Gilneth became less and less noticeable - on the one hand, because of the anger of Lordaeron and Gilneth, and the hatred between the two sides deepened; On the other hand, there is a problem within the Order of the Silver Hand, which is most concerned about the death of the paladin.
As we all know, the Silver Hand originated during the Orc Wars. After the destruction of the Northshire Abbey, Archbishop Alonthos Fao wanted to combine the faith of the Light with the skills of battle, so four warriors and a priest were baptized in the Cathedral of Alonthos in Stratholme, becoming the first paladins.
Five men, Uther, Ferdin, Dasohan, Tulayan, and Gavin Rad, swore under the light to defend honor with their blood.
The name Silver Hand comes from the Titan Guardian Tyr, who lost an arm in the battle with the Yuan Dragon, after which he forged a silver arm for himself - since the Titan Guardian was originally a metal man, this arm did not affect his strength, but gave him a very representative name.
Tyr is the guardian of humanity, and in ancient times, he discovered that many Titan guardians, led by the Lord of Wisdom, Rocan, had been corrupted by the Old Gods, so he chose to travel south with a group of Veku, Earth Spirits, and Mechanical Gnomes to the Eastern Kingdoms, which are the origin of today's Azeroth humans.
Tyr, on the other hand, fought to shield the humans from the pursuers, and eventually fought off his pursuers and died in the Tirisfal Glade (Tirisfal means Tyre's Fall in the Viku language), where we can still see a large silver finger pointing up into the sky.
From this name, we can see that the purpose of the Silver Hand was established to protect humanity.
And this time the war between Lordaeron and Gilneth caused a different and widespread discussion within the Silver Hand.
A group of paladins, led by Uther, believed that the war must be stopped - in Azeroth, civil war would only weaken the power of humanity, and war would not bring truth, only hatred.
A part of the paladins led by Dasohan directly supported Lordaeron, believing that Gilneth's use of orcs (whether it was Gilneth's own claim that the lords used orc slaves privately or Lordaeron's claim that the formation of an orc army) was absolutely unforgivable, and Gilneth had to pay for it.
Of course, these paladins are not supporting Lordaeron's annexation of Gilneis, and most of them prefer to have Gilneth hand over all the orcs and pay a fine to help the poor.
However, there are also some paladins who look further, and this group of non-racists has begun to re-examine the relationship between humans and orcs, and suggest that the greatest enemy of humanity is no longer orcs (and certainly not a civil war), but the Burning Legion, which speaks to the Oath of the possibility of invading at any time.
In the end, there are a very small number of paladins who choose to go back directly to help their country - they also adhere to the virtues of paladins, but they put loyalty first.
Internal contradictions prevented the Silver Hand from reacting at the first time, and just as everyone wanted to sit down and discuss what to do, an accident brought the Silver Hand to the brink of splitting.
At Dunhold Castle, some of the orcs escaped with their wounds.
This in itself was not a big problem - the Silver Hand immediately sent a young paladin Bathras to hunt down the orcs.
However, when Batheras followed the orc's trail all the way north to Hearthvale, the trail was cut off.
Bathras, whose parents had both died at the hands of the orcs, hated the greenskins so much that he immediately consulted the lord of the Hearthvale, Tirio Fordin.
The answer given by Old Verding was not to know.
Unimpressed, Buthras began to search the entire Fireplace Castle before finally finding traces of the orcs in a ruined tower - and fatally, some of the traces left by Fordin when he helped the orcs.
Now things are in trouble, the first generation of paladins will actually help the orcs?!
When Basshras confronted Old Fordin, Tirio was unable to defend himself.
Bathras then arrested Tirio Fording along with the orcs and brought them to Southsea.
Almost all of the paladins who learned of this news (including Tulayan, who was far away in Stormwind) rushed to Nanhai Town as soon as possible.
……………………
In fact, Tirio did help the orcs.
Years ago, Tirio had changed his mind about orcs.
This was when his son, Tyran Fordin, was new to the way of the Paladin, leaving home to train at the Chapel of Light's Wish. Old Ferdin, who misses his son, wanders around the Valley of the Hearth on horseback after every rain - in his own words, searching for all the details of his time with his son, and preparing a fun gift when his son becomes a true paladin.
Once, however, Old Fording spotted orcs in an abandoned castle.
As a paladin, Old Ferding has a natural conflict with the orcs, and they start fighting directly after they meet.
Old Fording is strong, but the orcs he faces are not ordinary people - this orc named Itreg is an orc swordmaster!
The two were inseparable, and Old Fordin's attack could hardly hit Itrege, and Itreg couldn't break through Old Verding's defenses.
Unlike the usual battle, this time it was more like a duel - both Itreg and Old Fording were very personable, and Old Fording didn't take the opportunity to attack when Itreg slipped on the slippery ground.
The battle between the two men went from outdoors to indoors, and finally turned into hand-to-hand combat with weapons abandoned, and a paladin and an orc Juggnaut rolled together in the dilapidated castle.
That's when the unexpected happened.
The dilapidated castle collapsed, the ceiling slammed down, and though Itreg nimbly dodged it, Old Fording was smashed by the rubble.
Old Fording woke up to find himself lying at home, covered in a rough bandage and some unknown herbs. I heard from my wife that it was the war horse that brought me back.
Puzzled, old Ferding secretly bought a Wisdom Scroll and went to find Itreg.
To the surprise of old Fording, by this time Itreig was already fluent in the lingua franca, though inevitably with a thick accent.
And from Itreig's mouth, old Fording learned about different orcs for the first time. (To be continued.) )
