488, Chang'an near Dian, toured all over

Sun Yuanqi replied slowly: Sun focused on sound, light, and electricity in his early years, and knew very little about the way of Confucius and Mencius in the Four Books and Five Classics, and even occasionally heard some slanderous words, wanting to bring down Kong Lao Er and smash Kong's shop. Welcome to Reading// Later, I came to Beijing Normal University to teach, and only then did I try to read some "Annotations on the Collection of Four Books and Chapters and Sentences" and "Annotations on the Thirteen Classics" under the teachings of my uncle and grandfather Sun Wenzhenggong (Sun Jianai), but I was confined to the ancient texts and was too poor to understand 12 out of 10. Based on these superficial understandings alone, Sun has a few superficial views.

First of all, the Confucian classics can be learned, but selectively..". Although the Confucian classics, whether the "Four Books" or the "Thirteen Classics", have been written for two or three thousand years, most of the views and assertions during this period are still of positive significance even today, and there is no problem at all with self-cultivation as a citizen. However, we should also note that these books are more or less outdated and even wrong, such as some etiquette systems, the well field system, the idea of cheap workers and light businessmen, and the view that science and technology are strange and ingenious, and so on, which must be eliminated. If it is like the Heavenly Religion to the Qur'an and Christianity to the Bible, and dare not go beyond it a little, I am afraid that it will inevitably be carved for the sword!

Second, Confucianism is a religion of indoctrination, but it is not a religion. You have all read through the "Thirteen Classics" and participated in the imperial examination in the former Qing Dynasty, in all fairness, do you think Confucianism is a religion? Over the past 2,000 years, Confucianism has become more of an academic ideology and moral ethics, and then gradually entered the political realm, influencing laws, institutions, elections, and so on. It was not until the late Tang, Song, Yuan, and Ming dynasties that under the influence of Zen Buddhism, they gradually began to pay attention to Taoism, meditation, and so on. However, it has not been religiousized until now. Regardless of whether Confucianism has the effect of soul salvation and past lives, how far away is the current teachings from the original thought of the ancestor Confucius?

Third, Confucianism can exist. However, it should not be designated as a state religion. As far as I am concerned, I have great admiration for Confucius, and I am willing to abide by and actively practice a series of principles of conduct that he put forward in the Analects, and I am willing to bow in front of his portrait as a sign of reverence. At the same time, I also know that the implementation of the Tao of Confucius and Mencius plays an important role in resisting foreign cultural aggression, shaping national cultural characteristics, and condensing the centripetal force of national culture. However, I strongly oppose the designation of Confucius as the state religion, which is not only an obstacle to freedom of belief, but also will cause violent turmoil in Mongolia, Tibet, and other border areas! ”

Yang Du nodded and said: The reason why Japan can make National Shinto the state religion is not only because Shinto has a strong influence throughout the country. It is also because their country has a relatively homogeneous ethnic structure, a well-trained army, and the people worship the emperor very much, so they do not have to worry about someone taking advantage of the opportunity to cause chaos. But what about us? The ethnic composition is complex, and local divisions are still in place. The revolutionary party and the remnants of Beiyang were ready to move, rebellions broke out in Tibet and Xinjiang, Outer Mongolia was already in a state of semi-independence, and Japan was eyeing it again. There is still time to settle the dispute. How can you provoke contradictions and provoke yourself to burn yourself? ”

Tang Shouqian didn't think so: Huizi is a blind eye and can't see Mount Tai! A glance at the "Twenty-Four History" can be understood. The implementation of Confucianism can effectively resolve national contradictions and eliminate warlord separatism, although it may be a little turbulent in a short period of time, but it is a loss for a great benefit, first a loss and then a benefit! ”

Yang Du sneered at each other: It is true that there are many examples of using Confucianism to educate the world and Huairou to foreign countries recorded in the history books, but the disparity in the strength of ancient and modern countries is huge, how can they be compared together? At that time, China was the kingdom of the Celestial Empire, and Xinyi was written in the four seas, and the barbarians on the border admired it and admired the Chinese culture. Nature is willing to accept Confucianism. And now? Since the Opium War in the 20th year of Daoguang (1840), China has been ravaged by Britain, France, Russia, Japan, Germany and other countries. The indemnity payments were huge, countless land was ceded, and the foreign domains of Ryukyu, Korea, Annam and other places were also forcibly occupied, and the border provinces were all on the sidelines. The country is in decline, Confucianism is swept away, and you still want to use it to educate the Quartet? I don't think I believe in history books too much! ”

Sun Yuanqi said: There is one point in Huizi, that is, cultural dissemination must be guaranteed by strong national strength after all. Only when our country becomes strong and prosperous, can Confucianism spread all over the world, and people from all over the world will come to learn it. If our country is torn apart or destroyed, I am afraid that Confucianism will also become a historical relic! Therefore, our top priority now is to divide the territory at home and resist the foreign powers externally, so as to maintain the integrity and stability of the country. I still say that the state can appropriately support the development of Confucianism, but it will never make Confucianism the state religion! ”

In the next two months, after dealing with government affairs, Sun Yuanqi would suddenly go to a certain place to conduct so-called visits and investigations, going north to the First Division of the Outer Mongolian Army, the 47th Mixed Brigade stationed outside the mouth, and Cai Chengxun's First Division of the Central Army, south to Changsha in Hunan Province to visit Hunan Governor Tan Yanhong, east to Haizhou in northern Jiangsu Province to inspect the drought situation, and west to Lanzhou to meet with Gan Governor Cheng Ziyin, Qing Governor Xu Shuzheng, and new Governor Yang Zengxin to discuss the establishment of the Second Division of the Outer Mongolian Army to prepare for the border. As for Xi'an, Yan'an, Pingyang and other places around Taiyuan, they often come and go.

On the whole, seeing the sudden arrival of the prime minister of the cabinet, except for the young soldiers who were able to quickly let go of their scruples and speak their minds freely while being shocked and restrained, both the division and brigade commanders and the prefectures, prefectures, prefectures, and counties were trembling, for fear that something would go wrong, and they would be dragged out by the guards with big waists and round waists around the prime minister at any time. Even Xiang Governor Tan Yanmin and the new Governor Yang Zengxin were no exception, lest Sun Yuanqi personally come forward to invite them to the Hongmen Banquet. However, most of the time, Sun Yuanqi still talked with officials from all over the country with a pleasant face, and even if there was any mistake, it was to the point, not too much. Only a few notorious corrupt officials and bullies were severely reprimanded by Sun Yuanqi without pretense, and at least they were dismissed from their posts and ordered to be seriously investigated and dealt with locally, or they were brought back to the Ministry of Justice for direct handling.

Although officials in various localities were initially overwhelmed by Sun Yuanqi's sudden attack, and their hearts were disgusted and bored, it was conceivable that they found that Sun Yuanqi's inspection was mainly based on rewards, and various preferential treatments could be given at any time, such as the allocation of an additional 400,000 silver dollars for the drought in northern Jiangsu, which quickly alleviated the problem of food shortage for the victims; The prefectures and counties under Yan'an Prefecture are exempted from two years of land payment and grain, which are used for planting trees and grasses in various places to prevent wind and sand fixation. Everyone's hearts turned a little more expectant. Especially after the propaganda of China Radio, the reaction of the people across the country was extremely strong, and many gentry from prefectures and counties actually sent a telegram to the cabinet, asking Sun Baixi to come and guide in person.

At the same time that Sun Yuanqi was frequently visiting everywhere, more than 100,000 troops from six provinces, including Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Shanxi, Sichuan, Hubei, and Hunan, had already gone to Xuzhou, Yanzhou, and Guide to prepare for military exercises. When they left, they suddenly made the Taiyuan Mansion much more deserted.

Just when Sun Yuanqi was planning to move back to Beijing when he would also move, the porter suddenly came to report: Beiyang Wang Pingqing and Cao Zhongshan are visiting! ”

Before the crossing, Sun Yuanqi didn't know where Wang Shizhen was sacred, but after the crossing, especially after stepping into the political arena in a daze, he heard Wang Shizhen's name like thunder: Can you not know the Beiyang Department in the late Qing Dynasty politics? If you know the Beiyang system, can you not know the famous Beiyang Dragon"? And for a long time in the late Qing Dynasty, Wang Shizhen was more powerful than Sun Yuanqi.

In the thirty-first year of Guangxu (1905), Sun Yuanqi had just acted as a student envoy in Hubei Province under the operation of his uncle and grandfather Sun Jianai, and at this time Wang Shizhen was already the commander of the sixth town in Beiyang (similar to the division commander in the early years of the Republic of China).

In the thirty-second year of Guangxu, when Sun Yuanqi was still struggling in the position of school envoy, Wang Shizhen was already the right attendant of the Ministry of War.

By the thirty-third year of Guangxu, Sun Yuanqi finally returned to the center as the left attendant of the school department, and Wang Shizhen had been released as the governor of Jiangbei with the title of the right attendant of the Ministry of the Army, and he was an upright member of the first rank.

However, Wang Shizhen soon lost bad luck, first his biological mother died, and he went home for three months of mourning; Soon Emperor Guangxu and the Empress Dowager of the West died successively, Yuan Shikai was ordered to return to his hometown to recuperate, and Wang Shizhen had to ask for leave to go home to accompany Yuan Shikai to fish. By the time Yuan Shikai came out to form a cabinet again, Sun Yuanqi was already listed as a cabinet minister alongside Wang Shizhen. In another two or three years, Sun Yuanqi has jumped to the prime minister of the cabinet, and Wang Shizhen has gone into hiding and become a commoner.

At this time, Sun Yuanqi heard that Wang Shizhen and Cao Kun were coming together, and he couldn't help muttering in his heart: What, the Beiyang Department plans to buy one and get one free? Or did Cao Kun kidnap the Dragon of Beiyang to atone for his crimes?

However, people have already come to the door, so naturally they can't avoid it, so they hurry out of the door at the moment. But when Sun Yuanqi saw Wang Shizhen for the first time, his eyelids couldn't help jumping a few times. It's not that Sun Yuanqi has wealth and disaster, but Wang Shizhen's appearance is too eye-catching: now it is the third year of the Republic of China, and more than two years of the Qing Dynasty, and Wang Shizhen is still dragging a gray braid behind his head!

At this time, there are still many old and young people with braids in China, including the famous Gu Hongming, but there are really few people around Sun Yuanqi and among the civil and military members of the Manchu Dynasty. As far as Sun Yuanqi knows, only Zhang Xun, who is currently the Yangtze River patrol envoy, still has braids. Although Sun Yuanqi learned history so-so, he still heard of Zhang Xun's restoration that had been stinking for thousands of years, if it weren't for the previous agreement with Beiyang, I really wanted to order the more than 100,000 troops who were exercising near Xuzhou to surround Zhang Xun and his braided legions: If you are willing to cut your braids and admit your mistakes, we are still friends; If you don't want to cut your braids, you'll have to cut your neck! To be continued ......)
