Chapter 18: A Happy Family

"Honey, is that you, are you back?" the middle-aged housewife was holding a large bag of groceries in her arms, she carefully pulled out the key, put it in the box next to the door, and gently closed the door, "Honey?"

No one responded. The housewife leaned against the door, took a few deep breaths to calm herself, and ran into the kitchen as far as she could without making a sound, hunched over and tiptoeing. Place the groceries on the floor, turn around and back the third drawer to the right of the oven. The housewife bent over, her whole arm reaching into the innermost part of the drawer, anxiously fiddling with something.

When she stood up, the housewife already had an extra gun in her hand!

What kind of person would hide a gun in their own kitchen?!

Well, now this housewife with a panicked expression and trembling hands holding a gun is such a person.

She slowly moved her steps and walked towards the backyard. Just before entering the house, she saw someone flash in her backyard......!

"Mrs. Cousson. ”

"Ahh

"Oh!!James, don't scare me so much!" Mrs. Cousson put her hands on her chest, bent over, and looked at her husband's new partner in horror, "never! never come near anyone silently!"

James watched expressionlessly as Mrs. Cousson picked up the gun on the ground, "Is Detective Cousson there?"

The door from the kitchen to the backyard was pushed open, and Detective Couson looked at his wife and James, a little surprised, and quickly snatched the gun from his wife's hand and closed the insurance: "Honey, what are you doing!"

When Mrs. Cousson saw her husband, her heart finally relaxed. Jumped directly into her husband's arms: "I saw a figure flashing in the courtyard! I thought it was a criminal!"

Detective Curson patted his wife on the back and gave James a look that said, 'Go away!

"That's a witness in the case now. Corson comforted his wife, "Why don't you call me?"

Mrs. Couson pushed Cousson away, "I shouted! I shouted 10,000 times! You didn't answer me! What are you doing! Why don't you say yes!"

Although Corson knew that '10,000 times' was a very exaggerated metaphor, it was not the time to care about the details, "I'm sorry, dear. I must not have heard!"

Mrs. Couson glared at her husband and turned to sort through the groceries she had put down. The only difference between insecurity and security is whether or not Coulson is present, and apart from the fact that he will be hiding lethal weapons in the kitchen, it seems like a happy family.

Mrs. Couson looked at her watch, and at two o'clock in the afternoon, while tidying up, asked her husband, "Why did you come back at this time?" I didn't see your car. ”

"Ugh. Corson touched his nose, because this case was not officially recorded, so the public resources of the police station could not be used, but the explanation only seemed to make his wife worry, "There is a small problem, and it is being repaired." What about the kids?"

"Don't change the subject!" Mrs. Cousson glared at her husband again, then rolled her eyes, "It's not a weekend!

"Oh! Then I'll keep ......" Curson smirked, his footsteps moving back a little bit, pointing his finger to the backyard, he wanted to just quit silently and continue to work. But he noticed that something was wrong, and his wife did not seem to be sorting out the groceries, but packing, and all kinds of small kitchen utensils were packed into a large bag, "Where are you going?"

Mrs. Couson slapped her hand on the table and glared at Cousen: "I know! You forgot it! Today is Lisa's birthday! I'm going to Lisa's house to get ready for a birthday party! And you're going to pick up the kids from school! I know! You've forgotten everything!

Corson was stunned for a moment, and he remembered that today was the birthday of his daughter's best friend, Lisa. And a week ago, he promised that even if it wasn't a weekend, he would let the two kids enjoy the best birthday pie!

"That's wonderful!" Mrs. Cousson said something that didn't match the expression on her face, "Your car is broken!, what a perfect excuse!" Mrs. Cousson carried her bag behind her back and yelled at Cousson with exaggerated body language as she stepped back, "And you went home with your work! Look! Another good excuse! I think I'm going to tell the children that Uncle Cousson is defending the peace of Patton on the 'perfect' pie you promised......

Bang!

Mrs. Cousson slammed the door shut, and Detective Cousson stood in place, blinking, silently walked to the door, took out Mrs. Coson's forgotten key from the box, opened the door, and handed it to Mrs. Cousson, who was rummaging through the bag.

"Thank you!" Mrs. Curson snatched the key, flicked her hair, and strode away.

You see, it's a happy family......

Detective Corson sighed and watched his wife get into the car and leave safely before closing the door. He had a plan in his mind that letting Fitz follow James for a few hours should be no life, right? After all, how long can the children's pies last without alcohol!

Thinking so, Curson returned to the backyard and walked straight to his studio.

Fitz still sat stiffly on one side, trying not to look at the wall of clues filled with photographs and red lines. Just now, he was a little uncomfortable because of those disgusting photos, and he went to the backyard to breathe, not wanting to alarm Mrs. Curson. He glanced apologetically at Detective Curson.

James stood in front of the clue wall, but with his back to the clue, his eyes on Fitz, holding a half-eaten apple in his hand.

"Detective Lance, why are you here?" Cousson's mood changed quickly, and he immediately got to work! He clearly remembered that when he left the police station, he ordered this partner to go to the Barton Telecommunications Bureau to keep an eye on David!

"David is not here. James said blandly, "He's been sent out to check the line." ”

Corson pulled James over and stared at him incredulously, "Then why did you come to me? Why didn't you follow him?!"

"I followed, I lost. James took a bite of the apple, his eyes still on Fitz.

Corson opened his mouth, half of James Lance's profile was blacked out classified assignments!

"Hey, boy!" Corson reached for James' collar, "When I talk to you, you have to look me in the eye!"

Forgive Curson! He was so angry with this guy that in this moment, the deterrent power of the surname 'Lance' was temporarily overwhelmed by anger!

James's palm pushed Couson away, and his eyes finally looked at Cosen!

Cosen didn't expect the other party to resist, and he was stunned for a moment, so he rushed forward to teach this guy a good lesson!

"Detective!" Fitz rushed to the two of them and timidly stretched out his hand to stop them: "Don't, don't be angry! You guys, you have to cooperate well! There's a murderer wandering outside! You have to work together!"

Fitz's shoulders trembled, his eyes did not dare to make contact with the two, he lowered his head, his feet moving unconsciously and rapidly. It can be seen that this otaku is very bad at facing conflict, but he ignores his own fears and stands between the two.

Corson took a deep breath, perhaps because of his identity as a police detective, he did have a lot of bad habits, such as temper. But he also knows that this is not the time to solve his dissatisfaction with his partner, at least not in front of an ordinary person who needs help!

"Forget it!" Cousson tidied up his clothes, and he decided to apply to the head of the murder team tomorrow to change his partner!

Corson knew that with James by his side, he might never be able to analyze the case calmly. Corson took a note from the desk in the studio and handed it to James: "Yours!"

"What is this?" James took the note and glanced at it, his pupils constricting instantly. Of course, this slight change is not something that Corson, who is angry and doesn't want to look at him, can find out!

"Someone went to the police station to look for you, this is his phone!" Corson said impatiently, "Now go about your own business, don't bother me here!"

Curson retracted the idea of having James protect Fitz, a partner who was too unreliable! It seems that he had to take this burden with him to join the pie......

"Corson, Fitz, stay safe. As James left, he suddenly turned to the two of them.

Curson frowned, he couldn't hear what such a straightforward sentence meant, was this guy showing kindness?
