19 Calls and Lists
The Phantom Danny himself can't help much, so should he eat a few like the out-of-control Alpha? Unfortunately, even if Danny eats it, it won't have any effect.
The body of the phantom man is real and fake, a simulation of interaction with this material world. Therefore, whether the influence of matter on himself has any expression depends entirely on the phantom man's own will. None of his expressions can be relied upon as a basis for judgment.
The reason Zach would call him was simply the word 'Valmina', as Zach put it, very old. It is said that except for some special ethnic groups, alien races, no ordinary people will know about it. The vampire thought that he should at least tell the phantom man and see if there were any clues, which was a stroke of luck.
But sure enough, Danny didn't give anything useful, and the only thing he could do now was to act as the hand of the necromantic Dylan, sorting out the names of the 'dealers' in Barton City who might sell such things.
Zach called Walter as he told Hank Sr., actually to Maggie Crescent, and no one answered. The more objective speculation is that the prison escape incident has passed, Walter is busy moving, and Maggie is honestly looking at the perfume shop.
In the absence of Crowley as the owner of Mary's Church, Zach had no reason to visit directly, sat behind his desk and thought for a while, and called the Church of the Holy Son. After being concerned about Constantine's current situation and whether Mason was still used to church life, he asked Constantine to give Mike the phone.
"How's Crowley, Mike?" "Familiar with the way we vampires communicate, you should understand that Zack's social rule is always 'outside in', which is quite hypocritical when you think about it.
"It's okay. Mike replied without a spirit. "Drake is out of Newton safely, and Crawley and the others are now staying in Newton as 'guests', and I don't know when they will be back. β
Mike was very conservative and didn't reveal any actual information. But it sounds like it's okay, at least a 'guest'. Not a 'prisoner'. As for Mike's 'they', you don't really think that Crowley will run to other people's territory alone!
Zach raised an eyebrow, listening to Mike's tone, "You sound a little worried. β
"Yes, yes. Mike admitted it directly. The relationship between this demon and Crowley is truly strange.
"Don't worry, I don't think Crowley will go to Newton without any preparation. Zach held the earpiece and smiled, half reassuring, half curious tentatively. "You should know better than I do. β
"Yes. Mike sighed and stopped talking. It seems that Crowley has prepared something, and he doesn't seem to mean to say it......
Zach tilted his head and didn't insist, "I need you to do me a favor?" do you have time?"
"What?" the guy on the other side of the earpiece asked.
Zach wrapped up his question a little, "Have you recently taken in a groundbinder named Woody?" "It means that there is no one named Woody hanging! The question asked the police had no effect, because a third of the bodies could not be found with identification documents when they were found. There are also those who change their names and hide their identities...... But asking the devil is much simpler. You get the idea.
"Woody?" Mike confirmed, "Do you have a last name?" and immediately began to help Zack.
Zach gave his last name, "He was a former employee of the Grande West End funeral home." It also added to the next life.
After a moment of waiting, Mike replied, "I asked, there is no such person." β
There was a brief silence. Zach was relieved that there wasn't any clue that Woody would leave Barton for the time being, so the guy should still be alive.
"Did you say it was your West End employee?" Mike asked, probably just curious.
"Yes. is the grandson of a friend of old Hank. Zach waved his hand lightly, "Missing for now." Grande took the commission to find him. β
"Oh. Mike's voice was a little lighter, but immediately, in a somewhat strange tone, he said something inexplicable, "If you Grande threaten, we can help get rid of him." β
Zach doesn't understand, but we should understand that Mike said this because of guilt, remember Georgina of James, if Mike had told SΓΉ Zack Hunter Robert that he had kidnapped Georgina, maybe, just maybe, Vampire and Alpha had a chance to stop the helplessness later......
Zach smiled and shook his head, "Thank you for your mention, but you don't need to." β
Zach suddenly raised an eyebrow and looked at the side of the workbench, where the phantom Danny was sorting out the list of 'dealers' under Dylan's narration, "However, although it is not a threat from Grande, I am not sure if it has anything to do with your little side hustle, it may or may not be a ......"
"What side hustle?" Mike clearly didn't quite understand what Zach meant.
"That's right. Zach thought for a moment, not saying things that the demons knew, such as Benjamin's Slumber, "We found some 'products' in this Woody home, and it's clear that they weren't Barton native Smith products. β
Zach tilted his head and smiled meaninglessly, "I know you took over the peripheral distribution network of Smith's secret estate without Smith noticing...... "Do you remember the event that made Zack discover that Crowley's involvement in the Smith commission, which brought a twist to the entire commission?"
When the vampire and alpha visit one of the peripheral dealers, they find that they have been replaced by demons!
"Such a 'product' could not have come to Barton on its own. Zach narrowed his eyes, "Somebody sells these foreign goods in Barton, do you know about that?"
This time, there was a long silence on the other side of the earpiece. Imagine Mike's eyes rolling with a bright red jet black, interacting with his colleagues.
"No, we don't know at all. Mike replied.
Similar to Zach's thoughts, "Then I'll build yΓ¬ you guys to check your distribution network, whether it's a competitor or an insider." Zach glanced at the list that Danny had finished handing over, "I also need to find Woody's access to these things and see if there are any new clues, I think, we can help each other." β
"Yes. The reply in the earpiece was quick, but immediately, hesitating, "I may have to wait for Crowley's instructions." β
"Of course. Zach smiled, "Oh, remember to say hello to Crowley on my behalf." β
"Yes. "The phone hung up.
Zach put down the receiver and looked at the list in his hand, and the familiarity made the vampire tug at the corners of his mouth. Where does the familiarity come from? The list that Smith once gave, the technicians who cut off the inner perimeter, is the name that Zach now has in his hand.
Zach threw the list away, eighty percent, and this thing was sorted out in vain. Having a disagreement with Smith, understandable, and having a disagreement with Crowley, hehe. (To be continued......)
