Chapter 150: A Sad Love Story
The situation in Nighttown is very complicated, and the environment here is more treacherous than the Wild West.
Undead, ogres, werewolves, far more difficult to deal with than Defia, fish-men and kobolds.
The necromancer's conspiracy, the origin of the Black Knight, the whereabouts of the Luna Scythe, the mystery of the appearance of the werewolf, the influence of Karazhan, the hiding of the Brotherhood of Defia, and the Twilight Forest hide too many secrets, the network here is very complicated, and it is impossible for Sean to solve them one by one or he will die of exhaustion.
can only cut through the mess quickly, make drastic cuts, and take care of it, this, that, and all the pots.
This requires a strong, even overwhelming, strength.
Sean rubbed his temples and felt a little headache.
Although he thought of a lot of ideas, even if he racked his brains, he was not too sure.
But no matter what, you have to try it well, otherwise Sean won't be reconciled.
Giving up without doing something is not Sean's style.
Following Sean's plan, Valera went to find the necromancer who had been hiding in the Twilight Forest for years.
In another timeline, the necromancer used to be Sean's best friend. Of course, in the current timeline, Sean has nothing to do with him.
He is Merry Winterwind.
In the current timeline, Merry Winterwind died 2,800 years ago in a battle between the Human Elves and the Amani Trolls. Because of the needs of the war, Merry resurrected himself as an undead spirit and continued to fight.
He was the first necromancer in the history of mankind, and in fact the first mage in the history of mankind.
He lived for 2,800 years, from the founding of the magical city-state of Dalaran, to the creation of the mage organization Kenrito, and then to the creation of the Council of Tiris.
The first Guardian of Tirisfa, "Alodi", was his student.
The most powerful guardian, "Elwin", is his student.
Now, he hides in the twilight forest, at the request of his old friend, the legendary Assassin "Garona", to raise and nurture Garona's child, Mai Dean.
As the child grows up, Merry discovers that he has infinite potential, and he not only teaches Madean how to control his powerful forces and combat methods, but also teaches him all sorts of truths. At the same time, Merry has been trying to figure out who this child with such great power really is, his father.
Garona didn't tell him.
Merry lived for 2,800 years, and he possessed very powerful arcane energy and undead energy, and he was the controller of arcane energy, as well as the master of undead energy. He was an amazing legend, a great necromancer.
If he can be brought out of the mountain, then he will be able to contain the endless undead in the twilight forest. The black hand hidden behind the undead cannot be Merry's opponent at all.
And if you invite him, you will be tantamount to inviting his disciple Mai De'an.
Because of the incomparably powerful potential contained within him, far more than anyone else in Azeroth's history, Made'an has progressed very quickly under the tutelage of Merry Winterwind. Although Sean did not have exact information, he could almost believe that Mai Dean was at least a high-level mage, and even very likely to enter the ranks of archmages.
After Valera leaves, Sean sends Olivia back to Stormwind to find Browl and ask for his help.
Nature and the undead are inherently opposites, and natural magic can effectively curb undead magic.
Sean then sent Anduin to the council chamber and asked Duke Eberlock to take care of him, before leaving Nighttown with Vanessa.
Along the only avenue in the Twilight Forest, Sean rode a royal griffin, guided by the dim streetlights, in the direction of Raven Ridge.
Raven Ridge is located in the western part of the Twilight Forest, just across the water from the western wilderness.
Raven Ridge was once a bustling town, and it used to be proud of its funeral services.
There is a funeral academy here, and all of Azeroth's best embalming therapists have graduated. Sadly, the undead ruined the place. Witnessing the once beloved crawling out of the grave, the inhabitants tried to fight it, but in the end they gave up and retreated east to Nighttown.
After the inhabitants fled, the Brotherhood of Defia attempted to establish a barracks in the town, but were unable to repel the undead attacks. You can only choose to give up.
Raven Ridge hides a lot of secrets, and there are some surviving townsfolk who are struggling to survive here.
Abelcrobi, a well-known master of embalming corpses, lives near the Crow Ridge cemetery. The culprit of the undead in the Twilight Forest, a necromancer named "Morbent Fell", is also hiding in an abandoned haunted house north of Raven Ridge.
And Sean's trip is related to these two.
Abercrombie, was a very poor man.
Abel Crombie turned out to be a kind alchemist who lived in Nighttown.
He was kind and sincere, and he was well versed in the art of medicine, so if the townspeople were sick, they only needed to drink a dose of the potion he had prepared, or they would be cured one day.
Abel was obsessed with his alchemy and had no interest in romance until he was forty-two years old, when he met a lovely girl: Alyssa.
The fire of love burns brightly, and soon the two get married.
However, after only two years of happy life, Alyssa fell ill.
Able had gone through the medical books and alchemy books, and had not been able to concoct a potion that would save her life. Late one night after a week in the hospital bed, Elisa died in Abel's arms, and the next day when they came to visit Elisa's neighbors, they saw only Elisa's cold corpse and a gray-haired Abel.
The funeral took place as scheduled, but Alyssa was not buried, but was taken back to her room by Abel Crombie.
Two days later, a pale Alyssa walked out of the room, and the townspeople were surprised to find that Alyssa had actually come back to life, and everyone was amazed by Abelcrombie's fabulous alchemy and healing skills, but there was always some unease in their hearts.
Elisa, who came back from the dead, was much weaker than before, unable to see the sun or the wind, and often stayed in the house to recuperate, and she had been suffering from a loss of appetite and could not eat anything.
At the same time, the Quiet Garden Cemetery in the south of Night Town lost corpses one after another. Every few days, morning patrols find a grave in the cemetery that has been dug up and the coffin opened, but only the body is missing.
Buried corpses revived? The undead in Nighttown?
No!
There was a night watchman who discovered the truth.
It turned out that those corpses were all eaten by Alyssa!
It turned out that Abelcrombie had no way of resurrecting the dead. But the endless grief reminded him of a gift from a friend.
It was a vial of the Scourge Plague from Lordaeron, which Abelcrobi poured into Elisa's mouth and ...... Alyssa was resurrected.
