Chapter 3: Honey
In the dim light, a woman sat on the wet ground against a lamppost, her fluffy curls just exposed her fair neck, and two black belts were attached to the top of her black stockings, which continued to rise and disappear under the leather skirt.
In a black sedan across the street, Detective Coulson, who already had two children, stared intently at the woman. Don't be misguided, Detective Corson is on a surveillance mission. As for the benefits that came with the mission, the middle-aged detective accepted it without hesitation.
"Hmph, it's just spring, and these women can't wait to show off their 'cash cows'! Even if they don't get killed, I'm afraid they'll freeze to death here!"
"Bear with it again (someone is coming)!"
Detective Couson frowned and glanced at his partner, James Lance, who had been transferred to the Barton Police Department a week ago and had a good surname! In Cowson's eyes, this kind of guy who skipped the police officer and became a police detective was a standard relation!
James hadn't swallowed the food in his mouth, and he couldn't wait to open a box of onion rolls. The second generation of officials added straw bales! Couson grabbed the onion roll, opened the car window, and threw it away!
"James, I don't care if your father is a general or not!" Corson lowered his voice and glared at his partner viciously, "No one! no one can eat onion rolls in my car!"
"Oh. James blinked and nodded.
You can understand this as: a middle-aged man who has worked hard for half his life to become a police detective, and the malice of a young man who has done nothing and has become a police detective with his father's words.
Corson didn't dare to really accuse this general's son, so he could only vent it with such a 'little thing'.
The two detectives' gaze returned to the woman under the street lamp on the corner.
A man in a black coat, a black round hat, and a newspaper tucked under his left arm approached the woman.
Zach crouched down in front of the woman, "Miss, if you continue to stay here, you'll catch a cold." ā
The vampire's eyes fell on the woman's exposed neck, and the cold of early spring made her skin white and pink, and the vampire could already feel the blood rushing under that thin skin!
The woman's somewhat misty eyes lifted up to look at Zack, the corners of her mouth slightly raised. The frozen fingers stretched out, grabbed Zach's arm, and put it on his body, and a soft voice sounded: "I know a way to warm me up." ā
This is a professional woman, well.
seems to feel that the hand of the man in front of him is not warmer than his body, and the woman's eyes are even more misty: "It will also make you warm~"
Want to warm up a vampire's body temperature? The woman says a goal she can't accomplish.
"Okay. Zach smiled, withdrew his hand, put down the newspaper he didn't want to buy, and stood up. The vampire unbuttoned his coat, took it off, and gently draped it over the woman's body, and with his arms strained, he helped her up, "I'm just a passer-by, do you know a place with four walls and a roof? ā
The woman's eyes were a little puzzled, and she pulled the coat that was draped over her body with both hands, although she couldn't feel the real body temperature at all, but some of the temperature could only be felt in the body.
"You're a gentleman, you know?" the woman said, looking at Zach in front of her. Most of the people settle in the toilet of the bar, or in the dark alleys, and the person in front of them raises the need for a normal house. Perhaps confused by Zack's movements, the woman ignored that Zack didn't mention an important thing - the bed.
"Oh, thank you, and I hope that impression will last until the moment we part. Zach smiled. We all know what vampires really want!
"There was a hostel in the next block and we could go there. The woman mentioned yƬ.
"Okay. Still smiling, Zach nodded, and reached out in a gesture of please.
The woman tightened her coat and walked ahead, "Don't forget your newspaper." ā
"Thanks for the reminder. Zach picked up the newspaper and followed the woman.
The short distance was awkward for both of them, and Zach remembered a report he had seen while killing time at the grocery store: "Aren't you scared that there seems to be a disappearance of a single woman in the neighborhood?"
"Louise, my name is Louise. The woman turned her face and smiled at Zach and said that this man was really a gentleman, and he used 'single woman' to replace this profession in the gray area, and this small detail can only be taken care of by a real gentleman, "I'm not worried, you look at the back." ā
Louise's eyes drifted behind them, Zach didn't have to look back, across the corner, the two detectives were watching, as a vampire, he had already noticed. And now, the middle-aged detective had pretended to be indifferent and got out of the car, like an idle passerby, following them.
Zach has come to appreciate the 'single woman' named Louise. The real danger is the place that has been overlooked, and because of the month-long disappearance, this neighborhood is being watched by the Barton Police Department, so it is the safest place to be. And the previous 'drunkenness' was obviously just a bait she put on herself, this is a smart 'single woman'.
As for whether Detective Corson is Louise's 'bodyguard' or just wants more 'perks', we will not discuss......
"Room 203. The old man at the counter looked at Zach and Louise, pushed out a registration form, and said coldly.
Zach picked up the registration form and pen and looked at Louise with a smile: "Louise, you go up first and warm up your body." ā
"Yes. Louise nodded, took the key from the old man, and glanced at Zach before going upstairs, "I'll put the hot water in place, my dear." ā
The innkeeper, the old man who looked to be at least seventy years old, had a hint of disdain in his eyes. If his 'dear' had been dressed like this, he would have broken the old woman's leg in spite of his aching back when it rained! Oh, there was no need to be so violent, and if the old woman had such thoughts, he would have laughed off his last big tooth first!
The old man stared at Zach who lowered his head and wrote 'Zach Grande' on the form, don't think that the old man is so easy to deceive, this name is also fake! The old man didn't bother to verify the other party's real documents, and accepted the registration form and was about to ask for money, but his cloudy eyes met a pair of red eyes!
"I have given you more than two hundred, one hundred is what you deserve, one hundred is your tip, and you appreciate my generosity. ā
The old man's cold expression became enthusiastic as soon as he finished speaking: "Ah, sir, you are such a generous man! Have a good night!"
The red faded and turned back to light green, and Zach nodded happily: "I wish you a good night, too." ā
Zack's pleasure comes from the fact that the other party is an old man who doesn't have much time, and weak life means weak willpower, which makes the use of Zack's charm pupil more successful! Yes, if the previous grocery store owner was not a guy in the prime of life, Zack can save five doles today!
