Chapter 25: The Black Witch

It was nearly six o'clock, and the sun in the west was already close to the horizon. It seems that because of the contrast between the buildings on land, this red sun appears much larger than it would be in the sky. The dim yellow light oppressed the buildings and trees from the west, paving Barton in the westernmost part of the Federation, casting dark shadows behind things.

Matthew and Louise follow the direction the shadow points from, from the cemetery to the west back to Grande.

This afternoon's work dragged on for a long time, and after the funeral, Louise took advantage of the time for the guests to socialize and explain the imminent closure of the church to the clients who would also have funerals in the future.

It's sudden, but it's understandable. With the help of Father Constantine, these Western District nobles accepted the fact that the funeral had to be cancelled. Matthew still went to the cemetery to conduct the burial ceremony with the few relatives and friends of the deceased, while Louise was surrounded and coordinated the future arrangements for the removal of the grave.

It was six o'clock when we returned to Grande, and the Grande House was as quiet as ever. Louise looked around the office, wondering why Zach and Benjamin hadn't come back yet. She went to the second floor as she was usual at this time, but Alice didn't keep her promise with Cook's Kitchen and wasn't in front of the TV.

"Hank, where's Alice?" Louise asked Old Hank, who was bored in the room.

"Warehouse. Old Hank seemed to have a natural rejection of beautiful women, and ignored him.

"Where's Kim?" Louise didn't care, she was used to it.

"How do I know!" old Hank was already impatient.

Louise shook her head helplessly and went to the kitchen. Kim didn't eat in the kitchen as usual, she put a little snack, Kim might be with Alice, there shouldn't be any danger. Louise wanted to check out the warehouse, but the ringing of the phone from the east side of the stairwell made her change her mind. She knew that there must be a large number of messages waiting for her to reply.

To the south of Benjamin's warehouse, the old Hank's work area, is a half-finished coffin under a wooden scaffold, and planers, blocks, and triangular logs are scattered across the clearing. Further south, there is the real warehouse, which has just been built for more than a month, which is also the outermost boundary of the Grande House.

In the dim light, Louise stood in the middle of a pile of cold and white stones, with a vague face of an angel statue and a future tombstone that was completely unrecognizable...... This is already the deepest part of the warehouse, and the corners of Alice's skirt still have burning marks, and Ryan didn't even give her time to change clothes!

"Ryan, he's not coming. I, let's get out of here. "Banshee Alice. No, the banshee had already performed her first sorcery, and a brown-skinned sorcery note was held in her arms, and she would be forced to use the second, third, and fourth sorcery...... We might be able to upgrade the title of 'Banshee' to 'Black Witch' – the exclusive title for women who are eventually burned at the stake and reduced to ashes by the wrath of the world.

"No! he's coming!" Ryan's body floated in the air, disappearing from time to time into the debris piled up in the warehouse and then reappearing, looking for something, "Dawn and dusk, he's coming!"

"Ryan!" Alice prayed in her heart, hoping that someone would come to her and let her get out of here, "It's not good, I've promised you! at least find Zach and Benjamin and talk to them, okay?"

"Don't even think about it!" Ryan stared at Alice's face as the light and shadow converged in front of Alice's eyes, "I know what you're up to!

Alice's body trembled and stepped back, her back against the corner of the cold stone, and a slight slam into the pile of stone behind her.

"Am I wrong?!" Ryan continued to approach, "you have so much power, but you hide behind vampires and werewolves! You think you're a good person?!You're no different from those black witches who seek eternal life and lose themselves!"

Alice's face turned pale, and there was no place behind her for her to dodge.

Think about what will become of a woman who lives in fear because she can see the death of others, and they will do everything in their power to avoid their own death, and Papa's midnight bloodline gives them this opportunity, and history proves that this is the path that every banshee will take the most!

Ryan was right, Alice was no different from those Black Witches who lost themselves, she just had a different approach, and unlike relying on her own strength, she was attached to the vampire Zach and Alpha Benjamin.

Alice was already feeling the pain of the hard stone roof behind her, and her trembling body moved to one side, turning around under Ryan's hideous face, trying to run out.

"I'm right!" Ryan's body dissipated and reunited like smoke, as if the real body was in front of Alice!

Alice's brain was deceived by vision, her body stopped at the behest of command, her fluttering eyelashes scattered in the dust of the dusk light.

"Hah! I was right! Now I know why Mother kicked you out!" Ryan took a step closer to Alice, and Alice, who was trembling all over, took a step back.

"You can't resist! Even if you're just a little girl, you can't resist your mother's witchcraft! Your mother found out! So she's going to break your mind! She threw you out into the street!!"

"Stop! Stop Ryan! Please!" Alice kept shaking her head down!

"No, I don't want to stop! No wonder you want to stay in Grande! Because your family doesn't want you anymore!I'm going to send you to Barton, right! The people of the Firefly family think that we won't have anything to do with witchcraft after the retreat of the 'Wind'?"

"Ryan!stop!stop talking!!"

"Haha! I'm right again! Alice! I've seen through you!!You shameless goblin who keeps taking advantage of others! Sooner or later, the vampires will find out about it!!Just wait to be abandoned again!!"

Alice's fingers grasping Sbella's witchcraft notes were pale from overexertion, and she had retreated to the point where there was no way back, the fabric on the back of her long white dress being squeezed by her body and the walls of the warehouse, rubbing against her master's trembling. The creaking of planks spread throughout the warehouse.

Ryan didn't move any further, staring gloomily at Alice's lay down of his mother's witchcraft notebook, his trembling fingers flipping through it.

"What are you going to do?!" Ryan's voice was not high and arrogant before, but low and trembling, "What do you want to do!

"yes, I'm sorry, Ryan...... I'm sorry, Ryan, I'm sorry......" Alice's hands stopped turning in the midst of her constant apologies, her eyes already seeing the spell she was looking for.

“&%¥#*&#...... (Spell)"

The spell was halfway through Alice's trembling voice.

Something, appeared.
