Chapter 59: Assassination I

"Captain, we've brought the man you wanted."

The pirate's report came from outside the door of the room and into the ears of Redbeard Jackson and the vampire Baron Kilrivers.

Captain Redbeard heard this, and then looked at the vampire Sir with some rat blood on his hand with a satisfied smile on his face.

"Mr. Baron, it looks like our deal will soon be done." He said.

As the words fell, the pirate captain, who was not too old, got up from his chair and walked unhurriedly in the direction of the door.

"Wait a minute, Mr. Captain."

Killrivers reached out to stop the pirate captain before Jackson could do it, his voice suddenly muffled as if he had noticed something.

Red-bearded Jackson watched as Sir Vampire stopped his hand, his eyes puzzled for a moment, and then immediately understood the intent of Kilrivers' move.

The vampire Sir wanted to tell him that something wasn't quite right outside the door.

"What do you perceive, Monsieur Baron?" The pirate captain pressed his hand to the hilt of the scimitar at his waist and whispered to Sir Vampire beside him.

"Footsteps outside...... Suddenly it's a bit of a mess. Sir Vampire pricked up his head with slightly pointed ears on either side of his head to listen, and muttered in a low voice.

With that, he turned his two crimson eyes and aimed at the wooden door that led to the corridor of the cabin outside, and a ball of blood condensed in the palm of his right hand at some point.

The blood-colored liquid sphere swelled to a size the size of a head at an alarming rate, then transformed into a blood-red sword under Kilrivers' adjustments.

The future Red Lord, with the hilt of the blood-colored sword in hand, took a cautious step in place of the pirate captain beside him to the wooden door of the room. He stretched out his eerie white five fingers and carefully grasped the handle of the wooden door, held his breath and paid attention to the movement outside the door, and then slammed the door in front of him and the door panel.

Kilrivers held the sword in his right hand and the door panel in his left hand, and an unexpected sight suddenly appeared in his blood-red pupils.

In the eyes of the vampire baron, a pirate with a turban rolled his eyes at the feet of another with a greatsword, while two other pirates, armed with a pair of short swords and a curved sword, and a black-haired girl with a staff, stood aside, leaving the space in the middle of the cabin corridor to an elven girl with a light gold ponytail.

The elven girl crouched down on one knee and held a giant crossbow in front of her like a fort, and the arrow slot of the giant crossbow was already equipped with a giant light arrow the thickness of an arm.

The giant light arrow that was ready to fire was filled with the strings of the giant crossbow, and it was aimed at the shocked Kilrivers, who seemed to have been waiting for the vampire for a long time.

"Oops!" The future Red Lord felt that a mortal danger had arrived in front of him.

He immediately blocked the door panel that he had just removed with brute force, and the elven girl crouching and carrying a crossbow fired the arm-thick arrow of light from the crossbow string of the giant crossbow towards him.

"Bang!"

"Hmm-"

The massive arrow, which was overly large, mercilessly slammed through the fragile door panel and slammed into the right half of Kilrivers' chest.

The holy arrow emitted a puff of evaporating white smoke when it hit Sir Vampire, and Sir Vampire, who was hit by the arrow, snorted in pain before being swept backwards by the terrifying thrust of the arrow.

Redbeard Jackson's hand was still on the hilt of his saber, and the only single eye on the pirate captain's face watched in astonishment at that moment as Kiel Rivers flew straight through the air in front of him, and was unjustifiably nailed to a wall facing the door, with a thuding thud that sounded painful.

Kilrivers was pinned to the wall of the room by a giant arrow of light, his long pale hair hanging down his low forehead, and the hull of the blacksail seemed to tremble the moment he hit the wall.

The magic attributes attached to the giant light arrow and the undead body produced mutual hostility and rejection, the arrow of light arrow trapped in Kilrievous** kept emitting wisps of white smoke, the future Red Lord bit the vampire fangs in his mouth and raised his hand to pull out the thick arrow and threw it aside, stretched out his tongue and licked the blood gushing from the corner of his mouth, and then angrily raised his eyes to look at the five humans who walked into the room from outside the door.

"Who are you?" Kilrivers gripped the blood sword in his right hand, and his crimson eyes glared viciously at a young man holding a giant sword in his field of vision.

The young man with the greatsword was none other than Finn, and the other four who had come with him were Lilith, Arya, Arroyo, and Raymond.

The young paladin glanced squarely at the vampire sir in front of him, and then said nothing, except to take out a somewhat worn career badge from the empty pocket called the Whistling Blade in the same way that he had taken out of the void pocket not long ago, and showed it to the latter, and then wore it on his chest in front of the latter.

The somewhat worn class badge was undoubtedly the paladin badge that Finn had inherited from Antines' husband in the Mottled Forest.

After Finn revealed his identity to Kilrivers, Kilrivers' expression froze for a second, and then he came back to his senses with a sneer.

"Hey, Templar dog......" he gritted his teeth and squeezed a curse out of his mouth, his blood-colored eyes without the slightest hint of confusion, and raised his haughty chin to look at Finn in his field of vision.

The intentions of Finn and Kilrivers' actions to each other speak for themselves.

The young paladins belong to the Templar Church, which believes in the god of justice, Gazteth, and the young vampire knights, who are also members of the Bloodline Society, who are loyal to the undead realm known as the Dark Alliance, and their identities are meant to never require any hellish pre-war negotiations between them.

The grievances and contradictions between the priesthood and the undead are so simple and irreconcilable, and what Kilrivers wants to do now is to screw off Finn's head and turn it into a cold corpse, and Finn thinks that he should take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to eradicate this future trouble of Kilrivers and Redbeard Jackson once and for all.

So, while Killerivers had just recovered from Arya's surprise attack, and the redbearded captain on the side had not had time to fully prepare for the battle, Finn quickly and clearly gave tactical instructions to the four companions around him, and said, "Lilith, Arya, Raymond, you drag Kilrivers according to the tactics that have been formulated in advance. Arroyo, you're with me. Let's go! ”
