Chapter 39: The Dragon
The entire wall fluctuates rapidly, even fainting with white light. It was clear that if you wanted to move on, you had to pass through here, and Charles stepped back, slamming into the wall of water with a forward dash.
It was so greasy that it was uncomfortable, and he squeezed forward as hard as he could, reaching out in front of him and touching it, but he couldn't feel anything except the equally greasy wall of water. His eyes couldn't see his way again, and now Charles was like a drowning man.
It was almost ten meters before he struggled out of the pain of suffocation.
Charles dispelled the darkness with his sword, the long waterways with no end in sight, and the caverns were filled with stalactites as sharp as dragon's teeth. He turned his head and touched the stone wall behind him again, only to find that it was as hard as ever.
It's a one-way street......
Glowing fireflies flew around, and Charles could tell what it was at a glance. Magic beetles can only be found in areas where mana is abundant. It's usually found in the basement of a mage's workshop, but Charles doesn't think there's magic in such an empty underground cavern.
Is it because there are dragons? Wielding a long sword to drive away the insects that want to gather over, Charles who has practiced spells also exudes a small amount of magic power, so these little ones who have been hungry for a long time have pounced on them.
Charles grew more confident about the journey, and if he could actually find the wounded green dragon, he would get a considerable boost.
Judging from the information picked up in the previous post, the players who went underground at that time were only level twenty or thirty, so Charles was still quite confident in his current self. What made him a little strange was what kind of injury the dragon had to suffer to be sealed here, and it was killed by a junior player.
According to the population in the game, dragons are perfect creatures, born with the power of a high-level death rider, and once they reach adulthood, even a lich may not be able to fight. Once the player encounters an adult dragon, regardless of whether there is a level difference between the two sides, the dragon's level bar must show skeletons. Along with the dragon, the same as the perfect creature is the angel on the fresco of the Holy Church, and although these imaginary apostles have been reported by the player, the charr has not seen them.
Walking in the cave, Charles was extra careful, although his current strength was not bad, but this place did not know if there would be any danger suddenly.
Finally, after more than an hour of twisting and turning, he came to the end.
It was indeed the end, Charles held on to the hard, cold wall, and he had made it to the place with great difficulty, only to find that it was a dead end. But this is definitely not a hollow without an exit, since someone has built such a strange wall of water here, it will not be left idle.
Several demon beetles gathered around a thin stalactite, and the young dead rider who was looking around immediately strode over. Before, these little things were all dead to be stuck on him, but now they are gathered elsewhere, and it is obvious that there is a magic overflow in that place, that is to say, there is a magic mechanism.
A sword was plunged into the ground, and the little insects immediately scattered in all directions, and Charles stirred it vigorously a few times, only to find that there was nothing at all. Then he saw water dripping from the top, and the place where the insects had gathered just now was where the droplets had seeped in.
A sharp piece of silver metal sticks out of the wall, and because it is similar to the surrounding environment, it is really unrecognizable if you don't look closely. Charles had only seen something like this before, and there was a thing in the sewer spare parts warehouse called the Mana Igniter, which served a similar role in magical power machinery as an engine's spark plug.
Charles flicked his hand and threw an ice spear, a skill he had recently learned from Uther's spell book, and although it wasn't very effective, it at least proved that he had already started to get started. The Mana Igniter is simple to use, and only needs to activate the mana to drive the entire magic structure, so Charles cast a spell directly on the tip.
Then the hard wall began to stir up, and the concussions and flashes of light from the hydration were the same as before, and Charles was about to rush through it again, but the water splashed down in one piece. The streams of mercury spread out in all directions, and then a dazzling white light shot down from the other side of the wall.
Charles covered his eyes with one hand and cautiously moved towards the light source, finally getting used to the intensity of the light, and then a deep voice came down from above. The huge shadow descended rapidly, and the summer heat was directly pressed to the ground by the agitated air current.
But before he could regain his strength, a pair of huge snake eyes reached out to his head, staring at the young man who was desperately panting.
"Who are you?" The old voice was full of exhaustion, and the huge lizard's head turned its head to look at the small thing that suddenly appeared, and the young man with the sword was reflected in the shuttle-shaped pupils, and the eyeball alone was the size of Charles's head.
Dragon! Charles reacted immediately, but it was still too slow, and if the other party had the intention to kill him, then he was already dead at this time. Charles thought that the other party would be locked to the ground like a broiler and let him ravage, but he didn't expect that yes, this thing still has a free body.
The thick scales make it impossible for any weapon to hurt a living dragon, and the invincible strength ** and innate dragon magic make them invincible, and it is impossible for Charles to deal with a dragon with sound limbs.
But when Charles calmed down, he realized that it was a monster with only a head and a single wing. Joining the two fragments together is a black box. A faint black smoke rose from the box, and Charles remembered that he had seen something like it. It's the space that summoned evil gods that I encountered in the village last time, and it was the same as those black thick bands that were scurrying around.
"They kept me alive." The dragon saw the young man's eyes.
"They?" Charles subconsciously spoke, well, looking at the panorama this dragon looks quite funny.
The long head, with a lone wing, reminded Charles of a half-eaten roast goose......
"Those twilight wills." The dragon didn't notice Charles' disrespectful thoughts.
Dusk's will is too general, those cultists, those evil gods, and those devils wandering in the world are all Dusk's cultists. Charles couldn't help but think of the janitor in Hela's mansion, the demon carved into the door panel, which was also one of the images of dusk.
However, the dragon no longer seemed to want to talk nonsense with Charles, and opened its mouth again, its snake-like tongue sticking out sharp double rows of sharp teeth and licking Charles' face.
The stench was so strong that Charles almost vomited, and the dragon hadn't brushed his teeth in years for no apparent measure.
"Alright, it's finally time to eat." The dragon opened its mouth and swallowed Charles in one gulp.
