Chapter 16: Michelle
Sharing won't just be one person, it's going to take turns. So when Capler grabbed Lola and Alice tightly, he asked, "Do you think he likes so-and-so?" Lola rolled her eyes, and Alice just lowered her head, feeling that her friend's friend was a little suspicious. If you accidentally bump into it, you can count it as a favorite.
However, the shared arrow quickly shifted to what was embarrassing Alice. Kepler cleaned up his mood, and his eyes with light makeup looked at Alice and winked curiously, "Alice, what's your secret?"
Kepler thought for a moment, "You're an Indian, aren't you? β
Alice tensed, and Lola glared at Kepler, who pouted. There is still a difference between a girl and a girl, for example, obviously, Kepler is much more willful than Lola.
Kepler, who still wanted to ask, still couldn't continue, and there was a knock on the door, and Zack's voice came, "Can I come in?"
Without anyone answering, Zach pushed the door open and looked at the three girls with a smile, "It's time to go back to school." β
The lunch break at Reipt High School was not long, and Zach had already given the three of them enough time so that Alice could spend some time with Lorado, and now I'm afraid the first real lesson was over.
Kepler frowned, the girl's sensitivity had already made her realize that the Zach in front of her was the same kind of person as his father, a decent but aggressive guy.
"What is my father doing here?" asked Kepler, as he got out of bed, but asked in the wayward tone of a girl. She didn't ask Alice, apparently not believing that the underage Alice knew this.
Zach smiled and winked, "He knows the Yuri kid upset you, let's teach him a lesson." β
Kepler's face turned red and he glared at Zach angrily, "You're eavesdropping on us!"
It's just that Lola looks at Zach. I don't know what I'm thinking.
Zach didn't deny it, beckoned, still smiling, "I promised Smith to make sure you go back to school, let's go." β
Lola and Alice say goodbye. When I went out, I saw that Benjamin was also out of the warehouse, and it seemed that he was about to go out with Zach, but Matthew had not returned yet.
"I'll come back after my extracurricular activities. Lola glanced at Alice and finally spoke.
Kepler seemed to be still worried about Alice's secret, and he was noisily asking for it, but Lola refused, "You honestly participate in your cheerleading training!"
Both cars drove away from the Grande House at the same time, and Kepler complained in the car that the Grande truck wouldn't really have to follow them back to school!
Of course not. After entering the North District, the truck separated from Lola's car and drove in the direction of Back Bay. And Dylan, who was floating in the back seat of the truck, his face was also gloomy, because Zach still didn't say whether Michelle's name was on the list, but their destination was indeed Michelle's home.
"Don't you think that's childish!" Dylan floated behind the two of them, watching as they got closer and closer to a house. "When I get there, I'll know she's not on the list!"
Zach tilted his head sideways, looking like he took it for granted. "Then what do you have to worry about. You'll find out in a moment. β
Immature. Dylan stopped talking.
Back Bay's residential area is large, and unlike the low-income population of Paisie, and the proletarian population where Walter lived, it was mostly middle-class. The different blocks in Back Bay are divided into small but sturdy commercial blocks that cater to different groups of people.
Like Anthony's friends. The younger sister of the director of Cologne, with children, needs a quiet environment, a spacious yard and a spare bedroom. There are also working women like Michelle, who are single, and have very little requirements for area. But it needs to be as close to the city as possible and have convenient transportation.
So the three of them are actually on the eastern boundary of Back Bay now, and the house they see is just down the street, with a separate driveway on one side and no yard. It also looks like a very typical structure of the upper bedroom and the lower living room.
Smith is good to his subordinates, and Michelle, who knows from Dylan's mouth, is not yet thirty years old, and it is obviously not a lot to be able to pay for such a house.
After knocking on the door, the three waited outside. may have been affirmed by Smith and there will be no more surprises. Dylan didn't say anything to them coming directly to someone, but looking at his face, he was still a little uncomfortable.
The door opened, and a woman with glasses appeared behind the door, "Who are you looking for?" Her face was visibly tear-stained, her nose twitched, and her fingers unconsciously touched the corners of her eyes as she looked at the strange Zach and Benjamin, wiping away the spilled tears.
"Michelle, is it?" Zach smiled and looked at the woman in front of him, looking very ordinary, with a black professional skirt and a white lady's shirt, and there were no makeup nails on his fingers that ordinary women of this age would have, and they were simply trimmed and flat.
"Yes, yes. Michelle seemed a little puzzled that the other party would know his name, "I'm sorry." She rearranged her appearance, "Is there something wrong?"
"Let's go inside. Crimson had taken over Michelle's eyes. Dylan looked at Michelle in surprise and nodded, opened the door and invited the two strangers into his home without even introducing themselves!
"What did you do?!" Dylan shouted in the air, and of course no one would pay attention to him.
Michelle's home is as simple as it could have been, with simple dΓ©cor and furnishings, framed by the table and sofa, and photos of her family. However, there are also some photos that are upside down on the table, and Zach flips them up casually, and there is nothing surprising that it is a photo of Dylan and Michelle.
Seeing the stranger moving his things, Michelle shook his head and had doubts between his eyebrows, "I'm sorry." Who are you?"
Zach smiled and continued to look around the Michelle house, touching and touching, which was rude but elegant enough. Zach reached over a list, "Smith gave it to me." β
Michelle's expression changed, as if frightened, and her first reaction was to look at the decorative fireplace.
Zach smiled and took the nervous Michelle's hand and put the list into her palm, the woman's body was already trembling, shaking her head urgently, and pleading softly, "No, don't ......"
They are all smart people.
But Zach just smiled and motioned for the other party to open, "Don't worry, you're safe." β
Dylan breathed a sigh of relief, and Benjamin was already standing behind the decorative fireplace, carefully peeling aside the bricks embedded in the wall, revealing boxes of tapes.
There is no name of Michelle on the list, and whoever it is, when it comes to targeting Smith like this, also cleverly protects this woman who has direct access to the core.
Benjamin pushed the bricks back into place and exclaimed, "It's so secretive, no one thinks they'll see it as soon as they enter the door." "Dylan, for example, under the bed, hey, like a high school student.
Zack's smile was reassuring, but Michelle's body was still shaking, and she didn't dare to make any resistance until she knew what the other party was going to do. The list can only be opened at Zack's signal, and Michelle's love has changed again.
The woman covered her mouth, and there were more than a dozen names on the list, and at the top of the list were the missing security guard Ted, the deceased from the first accident, and Dylan.
"You're safe. Zach had to stress it again.
Because this woman was obviously thinking on a fork in the road, she retreated in horror, with an expression of not wanting to kill me.
No wonder she, Zach pouted, "Calm down, we won't do anything to you." The vampire sat down on the couch and casually looked at the note on the coffee table, which turned out to be a eulogy. 'He's the kindest man I've ever met, with a heart like gold......' Zach shook his head as he looked at Dylan, who was floating in the air and looking at Michelle in obsession. It's a sad story.
"There's nothing to hide, Michelle. Zach leaned back and looked at the still nervous woman, "We're indeed hired by Smith, but we've promised someone to keep you safe." β
Michelle clutched the list tightly in her hands, breathing as deeply as she could, her brain trying to digest the situation.
"That list, Smith gave him, the names of all the people he knew who had been threatened and who had been recorded. Zach picked up a cup of tea on the coffee table, sniffed it, and raised an eyebrow, "There's no you on it, so you can rest assured." But we still found you, who do you think will let us protect you?"
The vampire is helping the confused woman sort things out.
"Dylan!" Michelle blurted out, but her eyes immediately dimmed as she looked at Benjamin, "You, you're the Grande who came to investigate last night!"
Benjamin nodded, sat down next to Zack, watched Zach put down the teacup, raised an eyebrow, and gestured to Zack with a hint of 'right' in his eyes.
Zach didn't bother to bother with that, and reached out and pointed at Michelle, "Can you sit down?" β
Dylan was already hovering in the air, and he had spotted Benjamin and Zach's little moves. The cyan light and shadow rolled and flickered in his body, and Dylan stared at the teacup, shouting loudly, "What's in the tea?!
Zach waved his hand impatiently, and the necromancer didn't seem to figure out the situation. The most stumbling moment for human beings is when they lose their loved ones. Then Michelle, no matter what she adds to the teacup, is 'forgivable'. There is a very willful excuse for this, and she is sad.
The sad woman sat down slowly, picked up the teacup, her hands were still shaking, the bottom of the ceramic teacup hit the tray, she seemed to be talking to herself, muttering and repeating, "Dee, Dylan let you protect, protect me......"
Benjamin took the teacup that Michelle brought to his lips, put it back on the table, and reminded lightly, "The guests don't have tea yet." (To be continued......)
