Chapter 13: It's time to clean up the mess

Julius, who stood up, shook his head, trying to get rid of the noise that was drilling everywhere in his head. He and Romeona are just ordinary people with no strength, but at the edge of the bomb, they are still very affected, and fortunately they are only at the edge, otherwise they will have to suffer brain injuries. As he recovered, he heard Lulunaka reiterate that she was an alchemist. Julius stretched out his hand and pointed at Lulunaka and shouted, "It's either a witch or a banshee who can scream like this, you deceitful witch who doesn't blink, and you're embarrassed to say you're an alchemist!"

Olga quickly slapped his hand down, reaching out and holding his head down, preventing him from making eye contact with Lulunaka. "Stinky boy, you don't want to die!" He didn't expect Julius to be so bold in such a situation, didn't he figure out that it was the girl with a bright smile and a kind look who had the power of life and death here?

"What are you afraid of, this lord? Julius looked disgruntled, dodging Olga's hand, "Did she say she was here to help us?"

Olga thinks this kid is really stupid and a little cute. Unbeknownst to him, he and Romeona had just walked around the line of death, and had never crossed it—because they were lucky enough to be on the brink of a bomb. If the bomb had been made of gunpowder and not something strange, they had been in the middle of the blast, and most of the impact had been blocked by Orr's strong physique.

What Julius said was wrong and probably right. The location of this magical bomb and the scope of the explosion were so coincidental that it didn't seem like an accident at all, but Lulunaka did it on purpose. But if she wants to help Olga and the others, then why let them endure this terrifying scream, and Julius and Romeona are defenseless ordinary people. In this place, Julius and Romeona are more fragile beings than glass, and anything can easily kill them, let alone this strange and terrifying scream.

Lulunaka didn't look angry when she heard Julius's words. She just showed a slightly distressed expression, and kicked the dirt with her little feet, as if she was making an awkward noise. "Alas, having said all this, in the end no one knows the goods, no one thinks that it is alchemy, and no one understands the beauty of alchemy at all...... However, I can't expect the villagers who don't have much knowledge to say anything nice, and they are still orphans, so it's not surprising that they have little knowledge. ”

Julius wanted to refute, but he endured it. He's certainly not a fool, and while his courage and cunning make him look like a fool, it doesn't mean he's really inflexible. Olga's words finally entered his ears, reminding him of the witch who kills people without blinking, can make horrible screams, and says that she is here to help, but does not seem to care whether they live or die...... Thinking of this, Julius thinks that Lulunaka is a moody witch who loves to talk nonsense. The only thing that struck him a little strange was why the witch looked so young...... And a little cute. Or will the witches who rejuvenate after eating a child become like this?

Romeona opened her eyes and glanced around. There were a lot of dead bodies, severed limbs and heads everywhere.

"All dead...... "Romeona covered her mouth, then ran to the side, holding on to the tree and throwing up. She couldn't hold back after all. She endured all the bloody images she witnessed, but she still couldn't hold on after being intimately touched by the screams.

Julius saw Romeona vomiting, and at first he didn't feel anything, but after hearing Romeona's vomiting and accidentally seeing the vomit, he didn't hold back, and trotted to the other side and vomited. Maybe all the food that Lulunaka kindly gave him was here.

Olga didn't say anything, just shook her head. The fact that these two young children were able to endure the fact that they were only starting to feel nauseous until now was a very good sign. He still remembers when he was a teenager, when he saw a human head for the first time, but immediately threw it up. Although it was him who cut off the man's head, it didn't stop him from throwing up happily.

Romeona and Julius ran aside, and Olga would have been less worried about their safety. Now it is not the mercenary who can decide who lives or dies, nor the knight, nor him and Pattin, but Lulunaka. He didn't know what Lulunaka was going to do, but since she hadn't explicitly expressed ill will towards her side, Romeona was safe for the time being—though she didn't seem to care about the lives of others, and just did what she wanted.

Even so, for Olga, the situation is much better now than it was just now. Patin and the Church Knight were bound to let Romeona die, but Lulunaka, at least not there.

Now, there are only three people left who are still awake and capable of taking action in the true sense.

Pattin, who was half-kneeling and didn't stand up, Olga who was standing not far away and watching the situation develop, and Lulunaka, who had a little temper.

The decision is up to Lulunaka.

Lulunaka didn't make a fuss for long, probably because she didn't think it was appropriate to play in a place like this, and quickly reverted to her original appearance and stood back in front of Pattin, "Let's get down to business, Mr. Edgar." Do you have any suggestions?"

"Suggestion?" asked Patin rhetorically, "I don't quite understand what you're talking about. ”

"Enough people have died today, and I'm not going to let anyone die. So I want to ask, what do you think would be the best way to end this murder? I think reconciliation is the best, and there is nothing better than peace where everybody takes a step back. ”

"After so many deaths, do you want to say now that nothing happened?" Patin almost burst out laughing, and there was no mockery in the laughter that didn't leak out, full of bitterness.

Lulunaka shook her staff, "I didn't think you're a compassionate knight, Mr. Edgar. She looked around, "Then tell me, what is the matter with these poor people who have fallen cold? Do you want to say that they were all killed by mercenaries, so it has nothing to do with you?"

She covered her mouth and chuckled a few times, "Then can I also say that it was my dog who killed you amazing knights, and it has nothing to do with me?"

Lulunaka pointed the tip of her cane at Pattin, "I said before, you made the biggest mistake of all. You self-righteous knights who think you have a mission have pushed me to the opposite side. I hate pretentious guys, and even more so barbarians who don't even have the intention of talking. I think you are barbarians, no different from robbers. ”

"So you helped Olga and Romeoona to kill us barbarians? ”

"You can think so, but they don't seem to be thanking me, and they don't treat me much better than you do. Lulunaka looked at Olga and winked at him, very playful and cute. Olga had a dark face, watching the development of events from the sidelines, without saying anything.

Lulunaka sighed, "I really don't know how to be good." I did a good deed, and I didn't seem to get even a word of thanks. ”
