Section 11 The Realm of Nothingness
Since ancient times, there have been legends about goblins in human society on the continent of Feinan. The coarse and ignorant farmers even confuse the High Elves, the Goblins, and the Kobolds. Legend has it that in the middle of the forests and valleys or the deep snow-capped mountains, there are all kinds of goblins who are good at seducing people and taking pleasure in teasing humans. In some villages in the Northlands, peasant women often refer to the howling wind at night as the voice of fairies to scare urchins who refuse to sleep.
Duran had a lot of information in his mind, so naturally he wouldn't confuse these magical species with the unsavvy peasant women. He knew that in a broad sense, the elves and the big elves and even the elves of the imaginary plane were enough to be called the word "elf", but the elves in people's understanding today were all in a narrow sense, that is, they generally referred to the high elves. Southern scholars divide the elves into three types according to their size, one is the wise high elves, the other is the mischievous goblins, including jungle fairies and ice goblins, and the last is the elves. And most of the stories of goblins and bewitching people in the countryside are written by goblins.
"Those two little girls don't know what kind of goblin they are? Ice elves, or fog elves? Duran clasped the bellflower badge on his chest tightly, even though the golden light in front of him kept flashing, and countless delicacies appeared in front of him, he was unmoved. Because he knew that these so-called delicacies were the result of illusions, and the thick corbel that was only three feet away from his finger was probably a dead wood stump in reality, and if it weren't for the effect of the bellflower badge with immunity to the fear spells below the three rings, I am afraid that Duran would not have struggled out of the illusion so easily.
From the root of spells, fear spells belong to the branch of mind spells, which are the embodiment of many emotions in the human heart. Since the Kikyo Flower Emblem is immune to fear-type spells, it's not surprising that it has some resistance to illusions.
Duran sank down and looked at the space curiously: except for a long dining table and food that seemed to never be finished, there was a white expanse all around, and on the other side of the table, the ogre tin was frantically gluttonous, this guy was obviously not as lucky as Duran, and he was in the middle of the illusion.
Duran didn't speak rashly, although the distance between the two at this time seemed to be only a few steps, but Duran knew that in front of the little goblin who was playing with people's hearts, as long as they had one thought, the distance between the two sides could suddenly become the end of the world. Duran knew that he would never be able to wake up the iron hides who were indulging in illusions, and if he was rash, he would easily startle the snake.
"This should be a spell similar to [Mind Cage] or [Void Realm]. Although the goblins like to be mischievous, their surnames are not particularly bad, they just like to tease other creatures. Duran thought quickly about what to do, the bellflower badge could only keep him awake, but in this world, he had to find his own way out.
Duran is not a mage or a bloodline warlock, and generally speaking, the warlord's attempt to crack the elves' illusions is usually through simple and crude methods: if Duran has the power of gold or more, he only needs to light the fire, strengthen the strength of his body, and use his strong will to fight to break the illusion. Although this method is simple and refreshing, the premise is that it must be strong enough, and Duran, who now only has the power of gray iron, obviously cannot meet this requirement.
"There's really no reason, the assassin's illusion test is so weak, and when he encounters a more powerful opponent in the future, such as the witch of the Dark Witch Society, wouldn't he be able to directly raise his hands and surrender?" Duran grumbled in his heart, and the white scenery around him did not change in the slightest, and he stood up from the table and tried to walk into the distance.
Two low, wicked laughter came from afar, and Duran quickened his pace, and the scenery around him began to change from white.
In a trance, Duran's feet stomped on a piece of sand. Ahead was a blue sea, with waves more than a dozen feet high, rounding around the jagged and bizarre reefs, only to crash gently against the soft shore. Coconut trees are lined up one after another, and the coconuts under the trees are also scattered haphazardly in the soft sand, and from time to time a few foaming crabs scurry by with their teeth and claws, and some shells are washed up on the shore, which look colorful in the daylight.
"What a real illusion." Duran exclaimed, and when he looked back, the tin sheet and the dining table were long gone, replaced by a continuous forest, in which the trees were tall and flourishing, as if they had grown for ten thousand years. Everything was real and nowhere to be found, the sun was shining on Duran's skin, and after a while he had a hot feeling.
This did not bode well, and Duran walked briskly to stand in the shade of a coconut tree. The more realistic the illusion, the more difficult it is to decipher it by other means. Along the way, Duran has used the talent skill [Visual Inspection] several times, but this illusory fairy town is much more complicated than Duran imagined, and the visual inspection skill can't recognize the real and fake, and a large amount of data is fed back as if something is wrong.
"Looks like the data lies, too!" Duran sighed in his heart - data doesn't lie, it was his signature mantra when he was on Earth, but now in another world, everything has changed.
The doubts in his heart became stronger and stronger - although the goblins are good at playing with people's hearts, they are far from being comparable to witches, and the little goblins can play two small illusions at most, how can they make such a big illusory world?
At this moment, there was a sudden sound of branches shaking in his head, and Duran subconsciously raised his head, only to see a black shadow fall suddenly!
Duran was shocked, the time was so short, he only had time to move his head away - and with a bang, a small coconut smashed into Duran's shoulder, almost dislocating his shoulder!
Duran cried out in pain, and the coconut rolled to the ground quickly, without moving.
"No, if it falls naturally, according to such a small coconut, how can it hurt me so much?" Duran rubbed his poor right shoulder and looked up at the coconut tree. A few rows of fine leaves obscured Duran's vision, and faintly, he saw a few heavy coconuts, on which there did not seem to be a human figure.
Duran gritted his teeth and looked around, there were naturally no tools to take advantage of on the deserted beach, and the coconut trees were notoriously difficult to climb, even though he was a gray iron assassin with a very high bonus in agility, he was also a little helpless.
He tried to climb up the coconut tree, but only to climb a short section before slipping down, and if it weren't for the [terrible gloves] he was wearing, his hands would have been peeling.
Two laughs reached Duran's ears, and it was only then that he could see that there were indeed two little girls in red clothes sitting on the top of the coconut tree. However, unlike the two little girls seen next to the campfire, these two girls were small, about the height of Duran's arms, with a pair of thin wings on their backs, eyebrows almost human-like, half-pointed ears peeking out of their thick hair, and ice-blue eyes.
"I can't tell what kind of goblins they are in the Void Realm, but it's not so easy to tease me." Duran shouted in lingua franca, "Hey, you two troublemakers, if you don't take the initiative to lift the Void Realm, you're welcome!" ”
Two little girls giggled and flew up from the top of the coconut tree, each holding a huge coconut in their hands, and the wings behind their backs were frantically stirring and looking quite struggling.
"Stupid!"
"Big fool!"
The two little girls suddenly lowered the altitude of their flight, and slammed the coconut in their hands at Duran.
Duran had been on guard, the goblins were notoriously mischievous, and he didn't expect a word or two to deal with these two troublemakers.
Two huge coconuts roared at them, and Duran was so nimble that he dodged them when he made a wrong step, and at the same time laughed and said, "You two are stupid!" ”
The two little girls looked annoyed, and with a wave of their little fists, they flew quickly to the coconut tree, and took out two coconuts again to throw Duran. It's a pity that their strength is too small, and they can only hold one coconut at a time, and after Duran is on guard, it is too easy to dodge.
After two or three failed air raids, the two goblins showed angry expressions, but their physical strength had been exhausted, and one of the goblins was so angry that when he went to pick a coconut, he was almost pulled to the ground by the heavy weight of the coconut because of his lack of strength.
The two goblins flapped their wings quickly, and they kept enough distance from Duran that even if Duran tried his best, he couldn't reach them.
"Hehe, tired of it, aren't you?" Duran laughed secretly in his heart, the little goblins had no other means of attack except to create illusions, as long as they were caught, the realm of nothingness would be self-defeating.
When you are tired, it is time to surrender obediently. Duran suddenly said, "Hey, troublemaker, why don't we play a game?" ”
The two little girls looked at each other, and one of them said crisply, "Don't play games with stupid people!" ”
Duran was almost half angry and half dead, and he defiantly said: "It turns out that you are not only troublemakers, but also cowards!" Aren't you flying fast, I've got a bag of wine here, and if you can snatch it from me, you'll win!" ”
With that, he opened the cowhide bag containing the [Focus Reagent], and a pungent smell of wine came out. The two little girls' noses moved, and they immediately showed covetous looks.
The goblins usually eat flower dew, but their favorite is the wine made by humans. Duran didn't believe it, and the two tricksters weren't moved by the bag of wine in their hands.
The two of them did show a look of longing, and Duran generously stuffed the cowhide bag on, casually threw it on a pile of sand ten feet away, and said with a smile:
"Do you grab the wine first and fly away, or do you dare to play if you are caught by me?"
