Chapter 130: Christmas (5)
Throwing darts is actually a very technical thing.
It's hard to say, easy to say, like shooting.
In this way, it is essential to master certain basic essentials and throwing skills.
The first is the shoulder. You have to keep your shoulders still, that is, during the throw, only your arms are moving, and the rest of your body should remain in a certain position.
This is followed by elbows. In the early stage of the throwing action, i.e., when the arm is thrown back, the elbow should be basically immobile, and the elbow should be raised at a certain point in the acceleration process of the dart in front of the arm. You may hear the advice 'never move your elbow when throwing a dart', which is actually a misstatement. If you keep your elbow still, you will have to release the dart early, i.e. the dart's guidance along the parabola is too short. This is like the difference in accuracy between a pistol and a rifle: the longer barrel of a rifle increases its crosshairs. So, the longer the guide path of the dart, the higher the accuracy, and in order for the dart to go along the route we need, we have to lift our elbow in the later stages of the throwing action. It should also be noted that the hand should continue to follow the original route after the dart is removed, which makes the release process simple, we do not need to look for a very precise release point, as long as the dart is taken out at any point in a certain section to keep the dart's flight path correct.
Finally, there is the wrist. Wrist movements are a topic of frequent debate. Maybe you don't think it's necessary, but in fact, many pros use wrist flicks to increase their speed. By the three-link mechanism, we can easily associate the action of throwing a whip. If you use wrist force, one end of the whip will run faster, so the other parts can use less force, thus improving the accuracy of the surname. But wrist flicks are also prone to mistakes: because there is one more thing to control, there is one more source of mistakes.
That is, make your eyes, darts, and target points in a line. You have to aim at the target, not the dart. Many throwers naturally aim for it, but some novices don't do it in the first place. Be sure to aim for it, it's the first step to a successful throw.
Learn to move back. But don't move too fast. Many beginners are afraid that they will lose their crosshairs by moving back, but to get good control is just a matter of practice. Very few of those who succeed omit backwards, so 99 percent of us have to learn this step.
It's up to you how far you can move back, but generally speaking, the farther the better. A common mistake is that the backswing is not sufficiently due to difficult control, so that sufficient acceleration and precision are not achieved.
Speeding up the process is not difficult. Don't go too fast and don't push too hard, try to move naturally and smoothly, in a certain parabolic direction. Remember to raise your elbows appropriately. If you do a wrist flick, follow the original curve direction as well until the dart comes out of your hand. As mentioned above, as long as you throw it the right way, this step is just a natural extension of the previous steps and there won't be a big problem. If you don't feel that you have a good grasp of the release point, then it is likely that there is a technical error (not moving the elbow, or not performing the following manoeuvre). After throwing the dart, the hand should continue in the direction in which it was originally aimed at the target. A typical mistake is to drop your arm immediately after releasing the dart.
In the end, it's luck, and if it's really bad, there's no way.
In the first round of Luke vs Alyssa, Alyssa scored 200 points first. Gave Luke a lot of pressure.
"Come on, brother, I support you!" Taylor said cheeringly.
"Bang!" Luke directly "rewarded" Taylor with a chestnut on the head, "Believe me, I won't lose so much!" ”
"Brother, don't fight! It hurts! Taylor said, holding his head. I've only played 4 games, I didn't expect her to be so strong! ”
"Humph!" Luke snorted twice. "Knowing that you have to be strong, you are really more and more frustrated!"
"Let's get started," said Alyssa, "I can't wait to see you sleep on the street!" ”
"Come on, come on." Luke rolled up his sleeves and got ready to go.
Luke picked up a dart, brewed a sensation, and gently threw it.
The dart flew straight to the 50 points and was nailed to it.
"Yes." Luke breathed a sigh of relief. "Looks like it's the right way."
"Luck alone! Again! Alyssa said unconvinced.
Luke took aim again and threw it out, another 50 points.
Then there are 50 points. Another 50 points, but only 25 points were scored by the last miss. However, he scored 225 points and won a game against Alyssa.
"Win, I don't have to sleep on the street today." Luke patted his chest and said reassuringly.
"It's not even close! This is just the first game! You're lucky! We'll come again! Alyssa said unconvinced.
"Alright, let's move on!" Luke also found self-confidence.
So in the next half hour, Luke won back the right to use the house for twelve consecutive days.
"Win this dart when you finish throwing!" "Whoosh-" The dart was nailed to the 50 points, motionless.
"Yay! Brother wins! Taylor seemed to be happier than Luke, who had won back the room.
"I'm not convinced! I'm coming! Alyssa said with red eyes (gambling crazy).
"But you're running out of bets. What kind of gamble? Luketi thought.
"Who said no!" Alyssa growled.
"What's that, tell me about it. Let's see if I'm willing to bet with you. Luke said, playing with darts.
"You haven't been to my bed yet! If you win the next hand, I'll give you this chance! "Alyssa has made a killer move.
"Poof-" Bill, who was drinking water, spewed out, and Luke couldn't hold the dart even when he heard it.
"Don't drop, don't drop!" Luke was shocked, "What did you just say?" ”
"I'll give you this opportunity to go to my bed! Are you catching up? Alyssa said.
"What's the penalty for losing?" Although the stakes were tempting, Luke decided to ask about the penalty for defeat first.
"If you lose, you have to promise me three things." Alyssa said.
"What three things?" Luke asked.
"I haven't figured it out yet, but I'll tell you later." Alyssa said.
"Do I want to say that there are three things that do not violate the chivalry of the rivers and lakes...... You should be filming "Heaven and Dragon Slayer"! Luke said to himself, but he didn't dare to say it, and they didn't know what "Heaven and Dragon Slayer" was.
"Or the way you played?" Luke asked.
"No, of course not, let's do it in a new way." "This time we're playing 'Flying Saucer.'" ”
