Chapter 2: His Highness Sauron

Section I

On a bench at a London Underground station, Hagrid and Harry sit eating burgers. Harry had been looking around, and in any case, he always felt that everything around him was strange.

"You're nothing, are you, Harry? You don't say a word. Hagrid said.

Harry didn't know if he could tell. He had just had the best birthday of his life. But—he munched on his burger, wondering what to say.

"Hagrid, can you tell me about my brother," he said at last, "Mr. Ollivander mentioned my brother, but his words confused me, and the guys at the Leaky Cauldron, Professor Quirrell—they all thought I had accomplished great things, but when it came to my brother, they all were- well, a little evasive, I mean, I thought their expressions were a little unnatural, like, a little scared. I don't have any memory of him, and I don't know what happened on the night of my parents' deaths. ”

Hagrid leaned over the table. His unkempt beard and eyebrows showed a kind but strange expression, which seemed to be a very unnatural smile.

"Well, actually, Dumbledore doesn't want me to tell you too much about your brother. You two are twins," Hagrid noticed Harry's surprised expression, "yes, you-um-look look almost identical, and your brother's name is Sauron, a somewhat strange name, from your mother's name." Only the two of you survived that night. ”

"Why haven't I ever heard of him, I mean, why didn't he live with me?" Harry looked a little anxious, "However, it is true that life with the Dursleys is not very good, and I don't think I would live with them if I had the choice." ”

Hagrid patted Harry comfortingly, hesitated for a moment, and said; "Well, actually, there's a reason for that - your brother is a bit special, we can't let him live with those Muggles, and in fact, your brother himself doesn't like to live with Muggles. However, I think you'll be able to meet him soon, he's coming to Hogwarts this year, maybe you'll meet on the train. ”

……

The train to Hogwarts started, and the crimson steam locomotive sped along the tracks. Harry sat alone in a cubicle, feeling very excited, he didn't know what was going to happen ahead, but at least it was better than leaving the past behind, not to mention, he would be able to see his twin brother soon, in fact, the thought had taken root in his mind since Harry knew about his existence, and the desire was even more urgent after meeting the red-haired twins just now.

The sliding door of the cubicle opened, and a red-haired child entered, tall and thin, clumsy, freckled, with big hands, big feet, and a long nose.

"Is there anyone here?" He asked, gesturing to the seat across from Harry. "Everything else is full."

Harry shook his head. The child sat down. He glanced at Harry and immediately turned his gaze out of the car, pretending not to look at Harry. Harry saw that there was a dirty thing on the tip of his nose.

"Hey, Ron."

A pair of twin brothers also came.

"Listen, we're going to walk in the middle compartment now, -- Lee. Jordan got the big band spider all the time. ”

"Oh." Ron grunted. Harry noticed that his expression was unnatural.

"Harry," said the other of the twin brothers, "we haven't wanted you to introduce yourself yet, have we?" Fred and George. Weasley. This is our little brother. See you in one minute. ”

"Goodbye." Harry and Ron said. The twin brothers casually closed the door to the cubicle.

"Are you really Harry Potter?" Ron blurted out.

Harry nodded.

"Oh, well, I thought Fred and George were joking with me." Ron said, "Then you really -- you know ......."

He pointed to Harry's forehead.

Harry brushed a lock of hair from his forehead, revealing a lightning-shaped scar. Ron's eyes widened. Ron opened his mouth but didn't speak, and he noticed that Harry seemed to want to ask him something.

"Have you ever seen a boy in the car who looks just like me - well, I mean, he's my twin brother." Harry asked, wishing Ron had seen it, but to his disappointment, Ron only widened his eyes.

"Sorry, you mean, you're twins, like George and Fred?"

"Yes, but I've never met him, I've always lived with Muggles, and I didn't know anything about wizards, my brother, or my parents, or Voldemort, until Hagrid told me—"

Ron was out of breath. He was shocked and moved by Harry's name of the mysterious man, but Harry said that it wasn't because he was brave but just because he didn't know what the name meant, and in fact, Harry was worried that he didn't know anything about magic.

As they talked, the train had left London, and fields and meadows passed by the window, but the two did not pay attention, and the two children had a good conversation, and they found that they were both interested in each other. Around half-past twelve, the food saleswoman pushed the cart down the aisle, and Harry bought a large pile of food to share with Ron. Harry was excited, he had never had pocket money to buy snacks before, and no one would share them with him, and not only that, but he was also intrigued by the strange foods of the wizarding world. While Harry and Ron were eating Bibi beans, there was a knock on their cubicle door. A round-faced boy walked in, his eyes full of tears, and Harry remembered that he had passed him on platform 9 and three-quarters.

"I'm sorry," he said, "I want to ask, have you seen my toad?" ”

Harry and Ron both shook their heads, and the boy burst into tears, saying that he had lost it again and that the toad was trying to escape. Harry comforted the boy, but it didn't seem to work, and the boy sadly left.

Ron and Harry talk about pets, and Ron doesn't like toads, but apparently he doesn't have a crush on his mouse, Spotted. Harry knew that Ron had five older brothers, so the things he used were old, whether it was a robe, a wand, a textbook, or anything else, including his pet mouse, of course. Just as Ron was about to show Harry how to turn a rat yellow with a wand that was exposed, the compartment door opened again. A little girl accompanied the toad-throwing boy to the two of them, and she had changed into her new Hogwarts robes.

"Have any of you seen a toad? Neville lost a toad. He said, his tone arrogant and unfocused. He has thick heavy hair and a pair of front teeth.

In fact, Harry and Ron didn't have a good first impression of her, and after she commented on Ron's failed spell and said a lot of things like a cannon, Harry felt like a proud little she-goose, even though Harry found it rude to describe others in this way.

"My name is Hermione Granger, by the way, what's your name?"

"My name is Ron? Weasley. Ron muttered.

"Harry? Porter. Harry said.

"Is it really you?" Hermione asked. "I know everything about you, of course - I bought a few more reference books, "A History of Modern Magic," "The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts," and "Important Magical Events of the Twentieth Century," all of which mention you."

"Mention me?" Harry asked inexplicably.

"Oh my God, you wouldn't know. If it were me, I'd find a way to find all the books that mention me. Hermione said, "Do you know which house you're going to be placed in?" I've asked around, I'd like to get a Gram Cent, and they say it's the best, and I've heard that Dumbledore himself graduated from there, but I don't think Ravenclaw is too bad anyway, we'd better pioneer Neville's toad. You'd better get dressed quickly, knowing that we'll be there soon. ”

So she led the boy who had thrown the toad away.

"No matter which house I get into, I don't want to be separated from her." Ron said.

Ron tossed his wand into his suitcase and said, "This spell didn't work, George told me." I dare say he knew it was a blind shot. ”

"I don't know if she knows about my brother, I really want to see him." Harry said.

"You seem to want to see your brother, I mean, I have a lot of brothers, and in fact sometimes I don't like them."

"You know, I don't get along well with those Muggles, I think it would be fun to have an older brother" Obviously, Harry didn't understand Ron's thoughts.

"What college are your two older brothers in?" Harry asked.

"Gryffindor." Ron said he seemed unhappy again. "Mom and Dad used to go to this college. If I don't go to that academy, I don't know what they'll say. I don't think it's particularly bad to go to Ravenclaw, but think about it, don't put me in Slytherin. ”

"That's a vo- I'm sorry, I mean, the mystery guy was there?"

"Not bad." Ron said, slumping back in his seat, looking frustrated.

"You see, I think the color of the tips of the spotted beard has faded." Harry said, trying to divert Ron's attention away from the House's affairs. "Now that your two older brothers have graduated, what are they doing now?"

Harry wondered what wizards would do after graduating from school.

"Charlie studied dragons in Romania, and Bill worked for Gringotts in Africa." Ron said. "Have you heard about Gringotts? The Daily Prophet is full of it, but if you live with a Muggle, I don't think you'll see it - someone is trying to rob a heavily guarded underground vault. ”

Harry's eyes widened.

"Really? What happened? ”

"Nothing, that's why a big piece of news broke out. They were not caught. My dad said that apparently only the most skilled Dark Wizards could manage to escape Gringotts. But they didn't take anything, and that's where the blame lies. Of course, whenever this kind of thing happens, everyone is in danger, and people worry that there is a mysterious person behind the matter. ”

Ron changed the subject and asked, "Which Quidditch team do you like?" ”

"Oh—I don't know any of that." Harry admitted.

"What!" Ron seemed stunned. "It's the best entertainment in the world." Then he talked about the four balls, the location of the seven players, the famous ball games he went to see with his brothers, and said that when he had the money, he would buy a broomstick that he liked. Just as he was talking about the best part of the game, the door to the cubicle was pushed open again, but this time it wasn't Neville, the boy who lost the toad, or Hermione? Granger.

Three boys entered, and the pale-faced boy among them shouted: "Is it true? The whole train was talking, "Harry? Potter is in this compartment. So, that's you, right? ”

"Yes." Harry said that he had seen the other two boys, both of whom were short and ugly, standing on either side of the little white face, one on each side, almost like a pair of his bodyguards.

"Oh, this is Crabbe, this is Goyle." The pale boy noticed that Harry was watching them, and casually said, "My name is Malfoy, Draco?" Malfoy. ”

Ron coughed lightly so as not to laugh out loud, Draco? Malfoy looked at him.

"You think my name is ridiculous, don't you? Don't ask who you are. My father told me that the Weasleys were red-haired, freckle-ridden, and had too many children to support. ”

He turned to Harry and said; "You'll soon find out that some wizarding families are much better off than others, Potter. You don't want to make friends with someone else. I can help you at this point. ”

He reached out to shake Harry's hand, but Harry didn't answer.

"I think I can tell who's out of the ordinary, thank you." He said coldly.

Draco? Malfoy's face didn't flush, just a faint flush on his pale face.

"If it were you, Potter, I'd be very careful." He said slowly. "If you hang out with someone like the Weasleys, you're going to be affected."

Harry and Ron stood up. Ron blushed as much as his hair.

"Say it again." He said.

"Oh, you want to fight, don't you?" Malfoy sneered.

"Unless you get me out now." Harry said that he wasn't actually as brave on the inside as he was on the outside, as Crabbe and Goyle were much bigger than him and Ron.

"Enough, Draco, that's not what a nobleman should do." A flat voice without any tone spoke, coming from outside the door, Harry and Ron blocking the north door from being able to see the speaker, Harry guessed it might be a teacher, as the three Malfoys all looked a little scared when they heard the voice. Malfoy turned sideways, bowed slightly in respect to the man to their right, and then turned away with two bodyguards.

A man in a black robe walked in, his face hidden in the shadows under the long hood. Even though he couldn't see his eyes, Harry could feel the man's gaze. Harry didn't feel nervous under the gaze of such a strangely dressed person, on the contrary, Harry felt a little excited, as if a surprise would suddenly appear, this feeling was a little strange even for Harry himself.

"It's a really strange feeling," the man approached Harry, "it's like looking in a mirror, isn't it." ”

"You...... Who are you? It was Ron who spoke, and apparently, the man in front of him scared Ron a lot.

The black-robed man didn't speak, he straightened up and pulled off his hood.

"I hope I didn't scare you, dear brother." Sauron looked into Harry's green eyes and smiled.

"Oh my God, I can't believe it," Ron opened his mouth, his eyes as big as his mouth, "you all look exactly the same." ”

"That's normal, isn't it." Sauron raised an eyebrow, "We're twins. ”

Harry just looked at Sauron, didn't speak, and in fact didn't know what to say, as if he had a lot to say in his stomach, but couldn't remember a single bit. He spent 11 unhappy years at the Dursleys, no one cared for him, no one shared his joys and sorrows, and he really envied Ron for having many older brothers, even though he had to use old things. In fact, Harry would rather trade all of his wealth for Ron for a large group of caring family members. Now his brother, his twin brother, was standing in front of him, looking at him with a smile on his face, and he could hardly believe it was true.

In fact, Sauron's heart was not as calm as he seemed. The loneliness of the previous life made him cherish his relatives extraordinarily, and Sauron's heart was undoubtedly strong, but he still longed for family affection. He had a happy family for a short time in this life, but that night, Sauron lost his loving parents, and he watched them die but could not do anything about it. Sauron had never longed for power like that—the power to defy fate and protect his beloved. For 11 years, Sauron's frenzied quest for power had succeeded, and by the time he was 6 years old he had more knowledge than many young wizards who had just graduated from school, much to the surprise of his guardian, Professor Snape, who had to admit Sauron's talent despite the fact that neither liked the other. That same year, Sauron said goodbye to Snape, bought his current home and Bono with the money left by his parents, and began to live on his own, increasing his power in even more frantic ways. These 11 years of life were undoubtedly lonely and cruel, and the only thing that could really give Sauron some comfort was Forbertor - the first time his magic power went out of control, the black flames burned a qiē within a radius of 20 meters around him to ashes, and almost burned an Oro from the Emergency Division of the Ministry of Magic, the golden pupil known as the Cursed Eye was so truly displayed in front of the world for the first time. When Dumbledore arrived, Sauron was covered in black flames, and Phobertor was flying in the flames......

And now, Harry, his own brother, stood in front of him, with black hair, a thin face like their father, and green eyes like their mother. The brothers just stared at each other, and then, in a gesture that surprised even Sauron, he took Harry into his arms and hugged him tightly, neither noticing that tears were streaming from each other's eyes. (It may be a little numb, uh, forgive me...... )

"What are you doing?" Hermione Granger walked in, clearly surprised by the two men hugging each other.

Sauron let go of Harry and turned to look at the little girl in front of him with the same smile on his face as usual.

"Hello, miss, I'm Harry's brother, and my name is Sauron—Sauron? Potter"

Hermione looked surprised, but it was clear that he was much calmer than Ron.

"Hello, my name is Hermione? Granger. ”

Ron seemed to have just seen Hermione come in, and he said to Hermione, "Do you need our help?" ”

"Oh, you'd better hurry up and change into your robes, I just got to the front of the car and asked the driver, and he said we're coming?" Hermione looked at Ron and said, "By the way, you have a dirty thing on your nose." ”

Ron glared at him as she went out. Outside the window, it was already dark, and the train seemed to be slowing down.

Harry and Ron took off their coats and changed into black robes. Harry noticed that Sauron wasn't wearing a school uniform and wasn't carrying any luggage with him.

"Aren't you going to change your clothes—brother?" Harry asked, while the others seemed a little excited to say the word 'brother', "Where's your luggage, we should be there soon." “

"Call me Sauron, it's always a little awkward to call me my brother." Sauron said.

Sauron took out his wand and waved it lightly, a large brown suitcase appeared at his feet, and he tapped his clothes with his wand, and under the surprised gazes of Harry and Ron, the strange black robe on Sauron's body changed into the same robe that Harry was wearing.

"That's a cool hand." Ron said excitedly.

Harry didn't speak, but his expression was as excited as Ron's.

"The train will arrive at Hogwarts in five minutes, please leave your luggage on the train and we'll get you to school." The sound echoed through the train.

Harry and Ron looked nervous, and Sauron had to comfort them both over and over again, and Harry looked like he was about to throw up.

The train ran at full speed and finally stopped. Passengers rushed to the train door and descended to a small, dark platform. The night chill made Harry shiver, and Sauron blessed them with a warming charm that made Harry feel better. Then a lamp flickered above the students' doors, and Harry heard a familiar voice shouting, "First year! First-year students are here! Harry, come over here, how are you? ”

Above the crowded crowd, Hagrid's bearded face smiled.

"Come on, come with me, are there any new first-year students? Watch out for the soles of your feet, all right! First-year students come with me! ”

They followed Hagrid, stumbling and stumbling, seemingly descending a steep and narrow path. It was pitch black on both sides of the path, and no one spoke, except for the occasional sniff or two from the boy who had lost the toad.

"Turn this corner, and you'll soon see Hogwarts for the first time." Hagrid shouted back.

This was followed by a loud "Oh! ”

At the end of the narrow path, a black lake suddenly unfolded. On the high hillside on the other side of the lake rises a majestic castle with spires and windows twinkling under the stars.

"No more than four people per boat!" Hagrid exclaimed, pointing to a group of small boats moored to the shore. Harry and Ron got into the boat, Sauron and Hermione followed, and Neville stood there blank as Hagrid dragged him to the other boat.

"Are you all on board?" Hagrid shouted, and he was in a boat by himself. "That's good to move forward!"

A group of small boats immediately rowed across the mirror-like lake. Everyone was silent, staring at the huge castle that reached into the sky. As they approached the cliff on which the castle stood, it seemed to rise above them.

"Keep your head down!" As the first boats approached the cliff, Hagrid shouted. Everyone bowed their heads, and the boat carried them through the ivy curtain that covered the cliff front to the secluded open entrance. They followed a pitch-black tunnel that seemed to lead to the castle underneath, and finally reached a place that resembled an underground pier, and then climbed up to the ground of gravel and small pebbles.

"Hey, look at it! Is this your toad? The students disembarked, Hagrid asked as he counted the empty boats.

"Thank God!" Neville shouted in ecstasy with his arms outstretched. Illuminated by Hagrid's lantern, they climbed a tunnel in the rocks and finally reached a flat, damp meadow in the shadow of the castle.

They climbed a stone staircase and gathered in front of a large oak door.

Hagrid raised a large fist and slammed it three times on the castle gate.

The door immediately opened. A tall dark-haired witch in an emerald green robe stood in front of the gate. Her expression was stern, and Sauron felt that this person was not easy to deal with.

"First-year freshman, Professor McGonagall." Hagrid said.

"Thank you, Hagrid. I'll pick it up here. ”

She opened the door wide open. The foyer is big enough to fit all three of the Leaky Cauldron bars. Like the castles of Europe in the past, the stone walls are surrounded by blazing torches. The ceilings are almost as high as you can see. The façade is a lavish marble staircase that leads upstairs.

They followed Professor McGonagall down the stone floor. Sauron heard the buzzing of hundreds of people coming from the door of his friend's side, and the rest of the school must have arrived—but Professor McGonagall led the first-year students to a small, empty room at the other end of the hall. Everyone rushed in, huddled together shoulder to shoulder, nervously and carefully staring at the surrounding Yiqiē.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall said, "the opening party is about to begin, but before you get to the dining hall and take your seats, you should first make sure which house you are going to." The Sorting House is an important ritual because while you are in school, the House is like your home at Hogwarts. You will attend classes with other students in the college, live in the dormitory of the college, and spend your free time together in the common room of the college. ”

"The names of the four houses are: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own glorious history and has produced outstanding witches and wizards. During your time at Hogwarts, your outstanding performance will result in extra points for your house, while any infractions will result in a loss of points for your house. At the end of the year, the college with the highest score receives the House Cup, which is a high honor. I hope that no matter which house you are assigned to, you will be able to bring glory to the college. ”

"In a few minutes, the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school. I'm suggesting that while you are waiting, you should tidy up and be more energetic. ”

Her gaze wandered between Neville's cloak (the cloak strap was tied under his left ear) and the dirty piece of Ron's nose. Sauron also noticed that Harry was nervously trying to smooth out his hair.

"I'll pick you up when it's ready." Professor McGonagall said, "While you wait, be quiet. ”

She left the room. Sauron was relieved to see everyone.

At this point, Harry turned to Sauron and asked, "How can they assign us exactly to which house?" ”

"I think it's always a test. Fred said it hurt us a lot, but I think he was joking. Ron said nervously.

"Your brother is really joking, not so exaggerated, just wearing a hat." Sauron opened the way.

At this moment, twenty or so ghosts suddenly burst out of the wall behind them. These pearly white, translucent ghosts glided across the room, turning heads and ears, paying little attention to the first-year students. They seem to be arguing about something. A chubby little friar-looking ghost said, "Forgive, forget, I say, we should give him another chance-"

"My good monk, haven't we given Peeves enough chances? But he gave us all nasty nicknames. You know, he's not even a ghost at least - I mean, what are you doing here? ”

A ghost in a bodysuit with a wheeled ruffled collar suddenly discovers a freshman.

"Waiting for Professor McGonagall to pick us up." Sauron spoke.

"New life! You're not afraid of us? I guess I'm going to get tested. The chubby monk smiled at them.

Some students nodded silently.

"Hopefully you'll get a Hufflepuff!" The monk said, "I used to go to that college. ”

"Now let's move forward," a shrill voice said, "and the sorting ceremony is about to begin." ”

Professor McGonagall is back. The ghosts fluttered across the opposite wall and disappeared.

"Now, in a row," Professor McGonagall said to the first-year students, "follow me." ”

Harry stood behind Ron, and Bunce followed behind Harry. They walked out of the room, through the foyer, and through a double door at the back into the lavish dining room.

Sauron quietly surveyed the palatial place. The rest of the academy was already sitting around four long tables, above which thousands of candles fluttered in the air lit up the cafeteria. Four tables are lined with glittering golden plates and goblts. At the top of the cafeteria is a long table with the teachers' seats. Professor McGonagall brought the first-year students over there and had them line up in front of the entire student body, with the teachers behind them. The candlelight flickered, and hundreds of faces staring at them looked like pale lanterns. The ghosts also mingled among the students, flashing with a little silver light. Sauron looked up and saw starlight twinkling on the velvety black ceiling. He vaguely heard Hermione whisper, "There are spells cast here, and they look like the sky outside, I read about them in Hogwarts, a school history." ”

It's hard to believe that there is a ceiling on it, and it's hard to believe that the roof of the restaurant isn't open-air.

Professor McGonagall gently placed a three-legged stool in front of the first-year freshman, and placed a wizard's hat on the stool. The hat was patched, worn out, and dirty.

There was silence in the restaurant. Then, the hat twisted. The brim of the hat cracked open a wide slit like a mouth—and the hat began to sing, and to tell the truth, Sauron felt that he was singing very hard

After the Magic Hat finished singing, the audience applauded, and the Magic Hat bowed to the four tables one by one, and then stood still.

"So, we're just going to put on this hat." Ron whispered to Harry, "I'm going to kill Fred, and it sounds like he's going to fight a giant." ”

Sauron smiled faintly at Harry.

Professor McGonagall took a few steps forward, a roll of parchment in her hand.

"Whoever I call by name now puts on his hat and sits on a stool and waits for the Sorting House." She said, "Hannah? Aibo! ”

A ruddy-faced little girl with two blonde braids stumbled out of the queue and put on a hat that just covered her eyes. She sat down. A moment of pause-

"Hufflepuff!" The hat shouted.

The people at the table on the right applauded Hannah and welcomed her to their table. Sauron saw the fat friar and waved happily to her.

"Susan? Burns! ”

"Hufflepuff!" The hat shouted again. Susan quickly ran over to Hannah and sat down.

"Terry? Bout! ”

"Ravenclaw!"

This time, the second table on the left clapped and applauded. When Terry joined them, several Ravenclaw students stood up and shook his hand.

Mandy? Bloch also gets to Ravenclaw, Lavender? Brown became the first Gryffindor freshman, and the farthest table on the left erupted in cheers, and Sauron frowned at the sight of Ron's twin brothers booing them.

And then Millison? Birdside becomes a new Slytherin student. It has to be denied that the people of Slytherin do look unlikable.

"Justin? Fenrieri! ”

"Hufflepuff!"

"Hermione? Granger! ”

Hermione almost ran to the stool and hurriedly buttoned her hat to her head.

"Gryffindor!" The hat shouted. Ron snorted.

Call Neville, the boy who always loses toads? Longbottom, he fell on the way to the stool. It took a long time for the hat to make a decision on Neville. When the hat finally shouts "Gryffindor", Neville runs off with his hat on, and finally has to trot back to a laugh and return the hat to Professor McGonagall.

When Malfoy's name was called, Malfoy walked over in a big way, and immediately got his wish, screaming "Slytherin!" ”

Malfoy went to meet up with his friends Crabbe and Goyle, looking very happy with himself.

There weren't many people left, and Harry looked nervous, and Sauron smiled comfortingly. Probably another ** student, finally it's your turn-

"Harry? Porter! ”

As Harry walked forward, there was a buzzing sound in the dining room like a small fish-scented flame. After the hat was snapped on Harry's head, he hesitated for a long time, in fact longer than Neville took, and Sauron saw that Harry seemed to be talking to the Sorting Hat. Eventually, the hat made a decision, and it loudly announced, "Gryffindor! ”

The entire Gryffindor table cheered loudly, and the twin brothers shouted, "We've got Potter!" We've got Potter! Sauron smiled pleasantly at Harry's sight.

Harry sat down at Gryffindor's table and looked back at Sauron. Sauron smiled at Harry—Sauron thought it was the most laughing day he'd ever had.

Sauron was the last, and he could feel the eyes of many people in the hall focused on him.

"Sauron? Porter! ”

There was a distinct inhalation from the Slytherin table, and most of the students from the other three houses were whispering, occasionally pointing at Sauron with curious glances.

Sauron sat on a stool, Professor McGonagall buttoning his hat to his head. Sauron heard the hat say, "Oh, that's amazing, it's been a long time since I've met so many interesting students like today." You crave power, you have wisdom, you have a heart as cold and strong as steel, woo, you are just like him......"

"No, I'm not like him," Sauron said calmly, "I'm stronger than him!" ”

"Oh, so that's the case. There's no doubt about it - Slytherin! ”

The students in the hall whispered louder, and Harry's face showed disbelief, in fact, he had a hard time accepting the fact that his brother had been sorted into Slytherin, especially after hearing all the rumors about Slytherin from Ron.

Sauron stood up and returned the hat to Professor McGonagall, who noticed that Professor McGonagall looked at her with an unnatural expression. Sauron turned, not walking directly to the Slytherin table, he glanced down coldly, and immediately, like an invisible wave, the whole hall became silent, and the students who looked at Sauron felt as if they were being immersed in cold water.

Sauron smiled with satisfaction and walked over to the Slytherin table. At the table, male and female prefects with shiny silver prefect badges on their chests were the first to stand up, stepping over the benches to the middle of the aisle, to the end of the bench against the teacher's seat, while the other students immediately stood up—many of them with expressions of awe, like Malfoy, and others with confused looks, like his two bodyguards.

"Welcome to Slytherin House, Mr. Potter. I'm Epikos, the boy prefect of Slytherin? Hermoris. As he said this, he bowed slightly, much to the surprise of many of the students present, in fact, even some of the teachers in the teacher's seat showed a slight surprise.

Sauron nodded slightly, smiling, "Thank you for your welcome, you are so kind, just call me Sauron." ”

Sauron and the two prefects sat down directly, with Sauron next to Ibikos and the female prefect sitting across from them. The other Slytherins sat down too, silently waiting for the next ritual. Most of the students didn't turn their heads to look at Sauron, except for a few first-graders who looked at Sauron curiously, but none of them spoke.

"Ahem!" A cough, in the center of the teacher's seat, an old man with silver hair and a silver beard and half-moon eyes was standing, he was the headmaster of Hogwarts - Albus? Dumbledore.

When all eyes were on him, he opened his arms and smiled and said, "Welcome! Welcome to Hogwarts to start the school year! Before the banquet begins, I would like to say a few words. That's it: stupid! Cry! Residue! Wring! Thank you! (Spelled out in Latin and redivided: May Merlin bless you)

He sat back down. Everyone applauded and cheered. Several Slytherins let out a chuckle, and Sauron squinted at Dumbledore, as if sensing his gaze, and Dumbledore turned his head to look at Sauron with an incomprehensible smile.

Sauron turned his head, and the plate in front of him was filled with all kinds of delicious food, which was much better than Sauron's usual food, and Bono's cooking skills were not very good. But Sauron didn't have much appetite, the eye contact with Dumbledore just now gave Sauron a great shock, the old man who looked a little crazy on the side looked like a big burning golden flame in Sauron's eyes, Sauron had no doubt that if Dumbledore unleashed all his power now, few people in this hall would survive. Sauron felt someone watching him, which interrupted his thoughts. Sauron turned his head and saw that his little brother Harry was looking at him with an ugly expression, Sauron was a little helpless, but still smiled at him, which seemed to make Harry feel a lot better. Sauron turned around, absentmindedly and slowly.

"Looks like you scared him, Mr. Sauron." Ibikos said.

"Well," Sauron smiled helplessly, "he's still a kid, and he'll get better in the future." ”

Then, Sauron's gaze didn't leave the confines of the Slytherin table, he just ate something slowly, and chatted with Epikos and the female prefect opposite.

When Pudding was gone, Dumbledore stood up again. The auditorium was also silent.

He reminded students not to enter the Forbidden Forest on campus and not to cast magic in the hallways during recess, and announced that the Quidditch player review would take place in the second week, and finally asked not to enter the hallway on the right side of the fourth floor.

"Now, before everyone goes to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore exclaimed, and Sauron seemed to freeze at the sight of the other professors' smiles.

Dumbledore used his wand to conjure up the lyrics of the school song over the dining table, "Each person chooses his favorite tune." Ready, sing! ”

There was a chaotic burst of voices in the auditorium, some singing high notes, some singing low notes, and each with a different melody, and everyone finished singing the school song, except for the Weasley twins who were still singing to the slow melody of "Funeral March". Dumbledore used his wand to direct them to finish

"Music, it's more glamorous than anything we've done here!" He rubbed his eyes, "It's bedtime." Let's go back to the dormitory. ”

"First-year freshman, come with us." Ibikos stood up and shouted, as did the female prefect across from him.

The new Slytherin students followed them through the noisy crowd and out of the Great Hall into a long hallway. Ibikos led them straight towards the wall, through a door hidden behind a sliding baffle, and the portraits in the hallway whispered, pointed, or walked into the other portraits as they passed. They descended the stairs, walked through the hallway, and finally stopped beside an empty, wet stone wall.

Ibikos shouted the order, and a stone door hidden in the stone wall slowly opened. They saw the Slytherin common room, a long, narrow, low basement.

Its walls and ceilings are built of solid stone. Round green lamps hung from the ceiling in chains, hundreds of candles were burning in the common room, emitting a strange silver-white glow, and the semi-circular fireplace was also glowing with silvery-white flames.

Starting with the fireplace, the Slytherin chairs are arranged in a divergent pattern around several round tables. The walls, floors, and chairs were adorned with dark green satin, with silver stripes depicting the Slytherin House crest, a giant serpent.

An older Slytherin walked up to Ibikos and said something, Ibikus nodded, and he asked the female prefect to show the freshmen how to get to their dorms, but he made a 'please' gesture to Sauron, motioning for him to come over.

Soon, most of the people in the common room had gone to their dorms, leaving only Sauron, Ibpicos, Draco, the female prefect, and two other seniors, six of whom sat around the couch by the fireplace.

"Alright, I don't think anyone will disturb our conversation now." Ibikos began by saying, "Here, once again, I would like to welcome Mr. Sauron and Mr. Draco. The arrival of the two of them has undoubtedly added new strength to our Slytherins. ”

"Thank you for welcoming me, I am very grateful." Sauron said calmly.

"After this," said Ibikos, looking at the other four, "I wonder if it is presumptuous to call you Mr. Sauron." ”

Sauron looked at Ibikos and then at the others—Malfoy was confused, the two senior boys had gloomy faces, and the female prefect was a little flustered. Sauron didn't speak, turning his gaze to the fire in the fireplace—a silvery-white magic fire that emitted light and heat that kept the common room warm and comfortable. Then something shocked the other five people, the silver flame turned black, and the long-lasting firewood that had been enchanted was burned to the ground in an instant. They looked at Sauron and saw that Sauron was looking at them with a smile on his face, but there was no smile in his eyes, and the golden pupils like blades seemed to emit an icy glow, which made them shy away, as if the gaze would stab them. At that moment, a low, ethereal music came from nowhere, and in their astonished gaze, a black phoenix flew out of the flames of the fireplace and landed on Sauron's shoulder.

"This is Forbertol, as you can see, this is a dark phoenix, and my friend." Sauron said as he stroked the phoenix with his hand. With a wave of his left hand, a few pieces of wood flew into the fireplace.

The Ibikos woke up from their shock, and the flames in the fireplace turned silvery white again, but they didn't feel the warmth of the shades around the fireplace. Epikos stared at Sauron and did not speak, the expression on his face was complex and respectful.

Ignoring them, Sauron stood up and walked over to the fireplace, staring at a large silver serpent decoration above the fireplace.

Ibikos looked at the other four and saw that their faces were full of fear, so he stood up and bowed deeply to Sauron's back under their surprised gazes, "I was disrespectful, and I think we should call you - Your Highness Sauron!" ”

Sauron turned around and looked at Ibikus, who didn't get up. Sauron looked at the other four again, noticing Sauron's gaze, and the four of them also stood up and bowed deeply to Sauron—"Your Highness! ”

Epikos straightened up, and Sosauron said, "Your Highness Solon, please come with me, I think you should stay in a room worthy of your status." Ibikos said in a respectful tone, his confident and elegant smile restored.

They came to a group of reliefs that shone with a silver light, and Sauron looked at the reliefs—a giant serpent that came to life, coiled around a ball of flame. Sauron placed his hand on the serpent's head, and the flames turned black, and then, a black door emerged from the wall under the relief, made of an unknown material, and shone with a low light. Sauron brushed his hand in front of the door, and the door opened automatically without a handle. The décor in the house is simple and luxurious, very much in line with Sauron's taste. Sauron pulled out his wand and waved it, and his yellow suitcase appeared in the room. Sauron turned to Ibpicos and said, "Thank you for doing this for me, Mr. Ibikos. It's getting late, so I wish you all a good night's sleep. ”

Epikos bowed, "Say, it's my pleasure, Your Highness Sauron. ”

PS: This is my first time writing fan fiction, and I'm nervous, in fact, I'm nervous after the first chapter is out, and I'm afraid I'll be scolded. I was really touched and excited to see the encouragement of book friends in the book review area today.

I'm a little sorry about the second chapter, but I felt bad about writing this chapter. Many of the basic settings of the main characters' personalities and interpersonal relationships in the original book are completed in this part.,I have to admire Aunt Rowling's writing skills.,Handle these complex and cumbersome plots very well.,I got it around.,It turned out that if you want to promote the plot without destroying the original text on a large scale.,You can only follow Aunt Rowling's original book.,So although I try to compress it as much as possible,I still copied a lot of the original text.,And use a lot of Harry's main perspective.,I hope you'll forgive me.,I think this is the most annoying part of writing novels with the humanities.。

Regarding the character of the protagonist, I set it up to be cold and strong, but there is still a real affection for his brother Harry, after all, I don't want the style of the novel to be too dark, and I don't like people who are absolutely ruthless.

Regarding the question of the heroine, I am still thinking about it.

Regarding the power of the characters: I strengthened the power of the wizards in the novel, and introduced some settings that were not in the original book. The protagonist is powerful, but by no means invincible. Voldemort and Dumbledore's powers are also very strong, and more specific things will slowly seep out later.

I felt that the depiction of Sauron's appearance on the train was a bit of a failure, and I looked back and saw that Sauron looked like a shrunken Dementor when I met Harry,?......

New Year's greetings to everyone, I wish you all a happy new year and a happy family! ——
