Chapter 67 Meetings
Rafincrest stood in front of the tall stone chair on which he sat whenever he faced the assembled commanders. Even among the seven-foot-tall Night Tsubaki Spirits, he was a tall man. He had a long, narrow face and a nose that curved downward, a large beard, and a pair of cold eyes that looked full of wisdom and strength. His troops uniformly wore gray-green armor, and he himself was no exception, and a wavy golden cloak showed the dignity of his status. Beneath the majestic red-capped helmet, a crow-like head stares downward. A stone chair was placed in the main hall, and two identical dark purple square flags were hung next to the stone chair, with a black crow and a crow painted in the center.
"Your Excellency, please take the Lord's seat." Rafincrest looked at Moon Shadow with a smile and made an inviting gesture.
"Oh, thank you so much, then I'd be rude." Moon Shadow smiled and sat down on the stone chair, his silver armor and long silver hair draped softly behind his head. Other high-level executives were also seated.
"It's very obvious." One bearded elf emphasized, "The target should be Esaline, who is the source of evil, and we must attack it first!" β
The audience let out a chorus of approval, "Capture the thief and capture the king first." If you don't capture Essarin first, the demon will continue to teleport from afar, and it will be useless to waste your troops.
Rafincrest leaned over to his audience, "But we're not just dealing with demons from afar! In Asaline, we also have to face the most hypocritical enemies, our kind! β
"Die, High Elf!" Someone shouted.
"That's right! It's the upper elves! It was they, under the leadership of the Empress's counsellor Harveys, who brought us this catastrophe! They must pay for their sins, and they must die by our swords! The elf looked even more melancholy, "They are the ones who have made our dear Empress Azhara a prisoner!" β
An angry roar erupted from below. Some shouted, "Bless us the light of the light, Aishara!" β
"Alright!! I'm also an upper-class elf, and the upper-class elves aren't all as bad as Harvis, like Darth Lema Sunstrider, who fought against the trolls with me back then. Moon Shadow reached out and pressed it, motioning for everyone to be quieter. The elves also fell silent after hearing Moon Shadow's words, and Moon Shadow continued, "We all know to attack Aisaline first, which is the source of all demons. But what we're going to discuss today is how to attack. β
"I wonder what the leader thinks?" Rafincrest asked, frowning at Moon Shadow.
"I don't know what to do, but the attack on Esaline is urgent. I think everybody knows that. Moon Shadow lowered her head and held her chin, and said lightly.
"Well, everyone agrees. Leader, I think we should immediately send troops to save the Empress from danger. Rafincrest nodded.
"Immediately send troops to rescue the Empress." The elves were also busy seconding.
"Then everyone prepare, I will settle the immigrants of Sulama and the refugees of Aisaline in the past two days, and attack Aisaline in a week at the latest. Everybody go back and prepare, we're going to have a tough battle to fight. Moon Shadow nodded, and the elves seconded. The meeting quickly broke up.
A man next to Malfurion muttered, "They're still in the dark." Moon Shadow was naΓ―ve! The Empress has now become very dangerous. He turned to look at Ronin, humans were basically a head taller than the Night Elves, but they were stronger than the Night Elves. He was big, not only like a mage but also like a warrior.
"We should warn Moon Shadow that if she does not know herself or the other, she will surely bring about her own destruction." The tusky, green-skinned warrior muttered. This philosophical statement did not seem to match his appearance. Blox was as tall as Malfurion, but had the size of a bear. On his back hung a giant double-edged battle axe, which seemed to be made of wood, but shone like steel.
"After all, the Empress is Moon Shadow's mentor. And if you understand what she means to us," Malfurion whispered, looking left and right, "you can understand why it is so difficult for them to accept the fact that she is a traitor. β
"I don't know what Moon Shadow thinks, we're going to attack Atherine anyway, and there's only one ending, and that's when we kill all those demons. At that point, Moon Shadow may have a difficult choice. Illidan chimed in.
"What if Azhara came out and told them that she had taken the lead over the demons from the High Elves, and that everyone was safe now? What if she asked her people to lay down their arms and tell them that the war was over? Luo Ning frowned and shook his head. Everyone was silent after listening to Luo Ning's words, this situation could not be ruled out, and everyone didn't know how to face it if they were really encountered.
"I believe that there will always be a way out of things. Moon Shadow is the most special elf I've ever met, and I think he'll have his own choice. Crassus crept to the back of the room and joined their conversation, and his arrival silenced everyone. The pale-faced, enigmatic magician walked confidently and vigorously towards them.
"Teacher, is the red dragon gone?" Luo Ning greeted him and asked with a frown.
"My business is done." Crassus said as he casually touched the three small scars on his face, "Cleostraz has just returned to the dragons. This unexpected news was a blow to them, and without the help of the Red Dragon, the Night Elves would have had to rely on their own military might.
"What can we do now?" Blox asked, "Fight with the Night Elves?" β
"We don't have a choice." Luo Ning shook his head and said, "We're trapped here. A lot of things are tangled, and we have to be proactive. β
He looked into the depths of Crassus's eyes: "I can't stand idly by. β
"yes, we can't sit idly by. The situation is urgent, and there is no room for delay. And I can't stand to just wait for someone else to kill me, I'll resist. β
The night sky resembles a navy blue curtain and is dotted with sparkling stars, which makes people feel intoxicated. The wind blows through at night, bringing a fresh scent, like the refreshing scent of a soggy tree after a rain. Moon Shadow stood on the ramparts, silently watching the civilians of Blackraw's Castle as they busily moved towards the Black Coast. The night breeze slowly ruffled his long silver hair. He had been pondering the question of why the Night Elves had come to this point. One of them is supposed to be related to the disappearance of the Zendala Empire, and the absence of enemies made Kadore arrogant and unscrupulous, causing today's disaster.
But there's another reason Moonshadow doesn't know, and that's habit. Once all living beings become accustomed to a state and develop dependence, it is very difficult to change. Just like us humans, we know that the misuse of energy will cause harm, greenhouse effect, etc. Aren't we still using it for convenience? The misuse of the Well of Eternity by the Night Elves is the same as the misuse of Earth's resources by us humans today.
"Can I excuse you?" Moon Shadow was pondering that Crassus had suddenly appeared behind him, interrupting his thoughts.
"Well, you say, I haven't thanked you for saving my life!" Moon Shadow looked at Crassus, who had some anxiety on his face, and said softly.
"Lord Lord, don't worry, didn't you save me and Clyostraz too! But the current situation seems to be very bad for you Night Elves! Don't know what you think? Crassus asked, looking into Moonshadow's eyes, it was the first time they had spoken like this.
"Do you have any ideas?" Moon Shadow asked, frowning.
"I want you to send an alliance with the dwarves and other racesβ" Calassus said with a slight frown.
"Send a messenger?" Moon Shadow sighed and shook her head.
"You know that the Night Elves alone can't accomplish this task, and I hope you'll consider my suggestion." Carathus looked at Moon Shadow with a disappointed expression. But he still fought for it.
"To be honest, I've thought about it, and I discussed it with Rafencrest some time ago, but you must know that the relationship between the Night Elves and other races is not harmonious. The question of who to send is a serious one. Diplomacy is a serious issue, and elven pride is likely to mess it up. Moon Shadow looked at the moon and shook her head annoyedly.
Crassus nodded listlessly: "I can understand that my compatriots are so arrogant......"
He nearly revealed his true identity, but Moon Shadow didn't dig any deeper. Now a bunch of things weighed on his heart, so he didn't even have the heart to pay attention to this little thing.
"I heard that the red dragon Clay Ostraz is gone?" Moon Shadow asked, turning her head.
"Master Rafencrest is aware of this, too, and I informed him as soon as Clyostraz decided to leave. It's just that you were in a coma at the time, so you didn't come in a hurry to tell you that the dragon clan was in a hurry. He asked me to take him to say goodbye to you. Crassus nodded and said slowly.
"Well, it's okay, I think as long as we have hope, everything will be okay." Moon Shadow smiled and shook her head.
"You're such a special elf!" Crassusu looked at Moon Shadow and was silent for a moment before sighing.
"Actually, I'm just an ordinary elf, and I don't even know where I came from. But I decided where I wanted to go. Moon Shadow smiled and leaned on the rampart and began to look into the distance.
