Darkness descends on the last mercy
The Chris couple didn't spend any more time with the two dead cops, and they targeted Swan's nephew. They left the two bodies where they were and followed Swan into his house.
The lights in the house were turned off, and the dim morning light shone in through the windows, but it made the room even darker. Chris vigilantly raised his gun and looked around, signaling Swann to turn on the lights in the room, the switch of the living room light was next to the door, Swann pushed the switch, and the warm yellow light illuminated the room, and several people were slightly relieved.
The room was quiet, no human activity could be heard, and Chris looked around the living room and found nothing unusual.
"Bill, are you there?" Swann shouted, his big, gruff voice sounding harsh in the room.
No one answered, and there was an eerie silence in the house, which made several people nervous again.
"You two go upstairs." Swan said to his two men, "Be careful. β
The two policemen looked at each other and walked towards the stairs on the left side of the living room, and when they reached the staircase, one of the policemen suddenly stopped, "Head, this ground is full of water." β
Water flowed out from under a crack in a door on the opposite side of the stairs, and the living room was covered with a brown floor, and under the light, the water on the ground was not noticeable until the policeman stepped on it.
"This is the bathroom." Swan muttered, reaching for the door. Chris pulled him and raised his pistol to signal the others to be on guard.
Swann opened the door, the bathroom lights were on, the white fluorescent lamps hummed slightly, and water spilled out of the tub against the wall, flowing all over the floor. Chris had a bad premonition, and he walked over slowly, and what he saw made him sigh - he found Bill, and he was soaking face up in the tub, motionless, his cloudy eyes wide open, and his face looked distorted and hideous.
"Oh, shit." Swan glanced at his nephew and said fiercely, he turned his head to look at Chris, his face full of anger, "Who, who killed Bill." β
Chris shook his head, but he didn't say anything, he looked at Swan, his face flushed with anger and the body soaked in the water behind him, and felt a faint sense of revenge in his heart.
"It's all because of you, it's all because of you." Swann shouted gruffly, pointing his finger at Chris, "It's no good since you guys came." β
"He deserves it." Chris said coldly, "You know very well what he did. β
Swann was speechless, he glared at Chris indignantly, and the two policemen who came with him looked at the two people facing each other, and they both chose to remain silent - Swann covered up his nephew's evil deeds, but the policemen still knew something inside, and although no one thought of seeking justice for Shirley, there was still a little sympathy.
For a moment, several people didn't speak, and Chris ignored Swan's anger, frowning and thinking about what happened next - Bill is dead, does that mean that the thing that hibernates on Shirley has succeeded? Chris didn't dare to think about it, he had no clue right now, his anxiety and frustration distracting him, and the humming noise of the fluorescent tubes made him feel extremely noisy. He heard the sound of water splashing on the ground, and subconsciously looked up, and at that moment, what he saw stunned him - "Bill", who had been soaked in water, stood up, his pale and puffy face, and his gray and white eyes lifeless.
"Watch your back!" Chris reacted and shouted at Swan, his instincts aware of the danger of "Bill", but he didn't raise his pistol because he didn't want the three cops to misunderstand and shoot him.
Chris's words made the two policemen on the side notice this strange scene, and they both subconsciously raised their guns, while Swan, who had his back to the bath, looked back.
All of this happened in an instant, when "Bill" lunged at the unsuspecting Swan, hugged him, and then bit him the neck and tore it up.
"Ahh Swan howled in horror as he tried to push Bill away, but in vain, Bill frantically bit at him, tearing a chunk of flesh off Swan's neck before the other three could react.
Swan's eyes glared in horror, his mouth wide open and let out a "hehe" sound, and he fell to the ground weakly - his neck was almost half torn off, his trachea and powdery connective tissue were exposed to the air through the huge wound, blood was gushing out rapidly, and it was obvious that his carotid artery had been torn off.
Chris was stunned, Rao had been through a lot like him, and he was inevitably frightened in the face of this strange and bloody scene, "Bill" stood there, slowly raised his head, the gray-white eyes without pupils stared straight at Chris, and on his pale face, the corners of his blood-stained mouth pulled out a strange hideous smile.
"Hell!" A policeman shouted in horror, and the terrifying sight before him collapsed, and he raised his pistol and fired at "Bill", and at such a short distance, the nine-millimeter bullet opened a hole in him, and then hit the wall behind him, and the huge kinetic energy pushed him against the wall on the side of the bath. The policeman pulled the trigger until the bullets in the empty magazine did not stop, and the click of the trigger was particularly clear in the sudden silence.
"That's enough." Chris reached out and pressed the gun in the policeman's hand, and he saw the body back in the bath, black and red blood oozing through the bullet holes, staining the water in the bath a strange color.
"Is it dead?" Another policeman shuddered and said, "What's going on with this Tm?" β
"I don't know." Chris whispered, he looked at Swan who was lying on the ground, blood was still flowing from the wound on his neck, staining the watery ground red, from experience, Chris knew that he was hopeless, but after a moment of hesitation he said, "We have to get Swan to the hospital first." β
The two policemen looked at each other, walked towards Swan, bent down and were about to drag him away, when Chris noticed that the water surface of the bath fluctuated, Chris did not hesitate, stepped forward and grabbed the collar of the two policemen, and dragged them back, the next moment, the body of Bill, who had been knocked down, suddenly turned out of the bath and threw itself on the ground next to Swan, it raised its head, stared at the three Chris with strange and lifeless eyes, and slowly crawled towards them.
"Die." Chris raised his pistol and fired without hesitation, the bullet burrowed into the corpse's head, blowing off a large chunk of skull and brain tissue, but to Chris's surprise, Bill's corpse only paused, still crawling slowly, it lifted the remaining half of the head, and the mutilated face looked strange and hideous.
βF**Kγβ Chris couldn't help but curse, he stepped forward and kicked the remaining half of the corpse's face hard, the huge force almost shattered the remnant of the head, the living corpse was kicked out, along the slippery ground until the corner of the wall, Chris grabbed Swan's collar and dragged him to the bathroom door.
"Let's go." Chris shouted to the two cops that he saw Bill's body start moving again, and there was really nothing he could do with the.
Even if Chris hadn't said that, those two guys would have done it, and this weird and horrific scene had already broken them. The three of them dragged Swan out of the bathroom, and Chris took another look at the still crawling corpse, slammed the door shut, and dragged the table next to him to push the door against it.
Chris took a deep breath, his mind was very confused now, he didn't know what to do next, what had just happened was obviously related to the thing that hibernated on Shirley's body, now the two murderers who hurt Shirley were dead, and Shirley was still missing, although Chris didn't want to admit it, he knew that everything was going in the worst direction, and there was nothing he could do.
"You can't do anything, Chris." A voice said abruptly, which was particularly clear in the silent room, startling the three people, Chris raised his pistol in the direction of the sound, and in the middle of the living room, a girl in red stood quietly, staring at Chris.
She has a beautiful and delicate face, you can vaguely see Shirley's shadow, it looks like Shirley has grown up, in her eyes, dark golden pupils are like knives, she is wearing a long red dress, her long hair is softly draped behind her, and the whole person looks like a strange and cold charm. A large, beautiful black bird crouched on her shoulder, its feathers shimmering like metal.
"Give up, run as far away as possible." The girl said, a cruel smile in her cold voice, "This is my gift, and my last mercy. β
"Shirley, is that you?" Chris stared at her nervously and said slowly.
The girl did not answer, but only sneered quietly, and the laughter did not come from her mouth, but from all directions, as if there were many people around who could not see laughing together, which made people chill all over.
"Ahh A policeman yelled and shot at her, but bizarrely, the bullet went straight through her, as if through a cloud of empty smoke. The girl glanced at the policeman, and showed a cold and hideous smile, and did not see her move, and the policeman who fired the shot struggled to float, and then, as if he had been run over by an invisible hand, turned into a pile of minced meat, and fell to the ground with blood.
The bloody scene made the other policeman collapse, he took two steps back in horror, then turned and ran towards the door, when the bird on the girl's shoulder flapped its wings and flew up, its long black tail like a gorgeous tassel, and it pounced on the policeman, revealing its fingers and claws like blades. The policeman had just run out of the door, and the next moment, the sharp claws of his feet instantly grabbed through the skull, and the whole person was picked up and carried into the air, and Chris heard his howl of pain getting farther and farther away, and then stopped abruptly.
Chris is drawn to the attention of the two policemen who died tragically, and when he looks back, he finds that the girl has long since disappeared, as if she never appeared.
"Damn it!" Chris said indignantly, glancing at the pile of scraps on the ground, and then at Swan, who was lying on the sidelines, there was no blood coming out of the wound, and it was clear that he was completely dead. Chris retrieved the car keys from Swann and decided to return to the police station to meet Claire and the others, he used his mobile phone to call Claire, but he couldn't get through at all, only heard a rustle like white noise, which was obviously interfering with the signal. Chris felt a strong sense of uneasiness in his heart, as if something terrible was about to happen, and he ran to his car, when he noticed that the sky had become unusually dark, and the sky was obscured by thick clouds, and it was as dark as late at night. In the direction of the center of the town, the clouds were unusually thick, vaguely forming the shape of a funnel, and the gloomy cloud curtain rolled as if something was being born in it.
βcome
on!comeon!β Chris muttered and started the car, pressed the gas pedal hard, and the car sped off and sped towards the city center.
