Chapter Twenty-Eight: Beyond Patton Beyond Grande
The Great Dane opened the door to Zack's office, and his round eyes looked at the two people sitting in front of and behind the desk, looking at him, and realized something. Turned around and went to the stairwell, went to the second floor, and when he came down again, the Great Dane had disappeared, and 'James Lance' walked into the office barefoot, casually wearing an old coat.
Kim the Shapeshifter seems to like James' appearance, no, that's not right. He appears to appear only in these two forms, having lived in the Grande for more than two months, and no one has ever seen him in his form other than the Great Dane and 'James'.
Zach raised the corners of his mouth, "Kim, what's your real name?"
The Shapeshifter has countless forms, and there are countless names, and there is no such thing as a real name!
"G. Shou Palace. (Gecko)
This is how the Shapeshifter answers a question that should have been unanswered.
Zach's eyebrows were raised slightly, and he looked at the expressionless Kim, "It's a beautiful name." â
The werewolf couldn't understand the name of the Kim Say, he couldn't even pronounce it, let alone understand the 'beauty' of its meaning. Benjamin frowned, "Focus, Zach, focus." â
Zach smiled slightly, moved a chair by the workbench, asked Kim to sit down, and then spoke: "Kim, we want to ask you something." â
Kim looked at the two of them and didn't answer. This shapeshifter is more or less this temperament, and the two of them don't care.
"We, Grande, have lived in Barton for too long. As you can see, we don't have any contact with the outside world, and we want to know, what has happened out there in the past decade. â
"Do you want to know the true purpose of Papa Midnight? Kim asked in a declarative tone.
"Yes. â
Kim's eyes were looking somewhere, motionless, and that was his thoughtful expression.
After a few moments, he seemed to have organized the language.
"I don't know much. Kim's eyes looked in both directions, Zach and Benjamin, and this weird focus was something that only shapeshifters could do.
"For the past few decades, I have lived in the middle of the Union. Then, suddenly, cremation appeared, and people (aliens) began to disperse to the east and west. â
Jin looked into Zack's eyes, and his pupils contracted slightly: "The central part is controlled by the secret alliance of vampires, and they tried to stop the popularity of cremation, but failed. â
Zach didn't show any expression and continued to listen to Kim's narration.
"The western part is controlled by the Vampire Demon Banquet Alliance, so I chose to go east. However, many things have changed. Cremation became popular throughout the Federation, and some high-ranking people began to abandon their territories. â
Both Zach and Benjamin frowned, rejection of cremation was one thing, but it was strange to give up their own territory for the sake of how human corpses were disposed of. After all, there aren't many aliens who like to fiddle with corpses like Papa Midnight. Vampires don't have to wait for someone's funeral to be completed before they can make offspring. It is not a bad thing to let the dead rest in peace, and not to be called by the living. It's not good to be a ghoul either......
The previous 'if' feelings of the two seem to have become a reality.
"Why?"
Kim paused for a moment and looked at Zach with a blank face, which was what he was saying, 'Are you asking me?'
King skipped the question and continued his narrative.
"The alien race is divided into two parts, those who want to stay and those who want to leave. Both sides began to recruit. â
Zach and Benjamin glanced at each other, and recruiting meant fighting. It's like the original truth of the Federation hidden in the shadow of history. The Thirteen Clans of Vampires have captured enough men from their original empire to come to this new continent and open up colonies.
"So when the rumor of 'Barton is a paradise without an owner,' I was the first to come over. Kim ended his narrative.
Where aliens who want to leave the Federation will go is not on Zack's radar. He's got what he wants to know.
Papa Midnight is here to recruit, the bloodline of Sbella, the last descendant of Toredo.
Heavy footsteps came from the nearby stairwell.
Anthony slammed open the side door of his office and seemed a little surprised to see 'James'. 'James' squirmed all over his body, turned into a Great Dane, left only his clothes and pants that fell to the ground, shook his body, glanced at Anthony, and lifted his limbs out of the office.
Anthony grimaced, his shoulders shrugged awkwardly, and his back-combed bangs scattered across his forehead, revealing his awkward hairline. Half of his face was bruised, his coat was torn and scratched, and the skin inside was bloodstained.
The mayor of Barton stood in his office, glossing in rough clothes, and raised his hand to Zack, as if to say something. But the arm waved in the air for a long time and did not say a word.
"Ann!" (Anthony's name)" Ian rushed into the office as well, and was pushed away by him just as he tried to get close to Anthony.
"Don't come near me!" Anthony said to his brother, who was exactly the same as when he was younger, "stay away from me!"
Zach looked at the two brothers, a little confused for a moment, who should he help?
Benjamin stood up and left the office as if nothing had happened. This is something other than 'Grande', and it really has nothing to do with werewolves.
Ian's eyes were red as he was pushed away by Anthony, and his fingernails had pierced his palms in his clenched fists. In a fit of rage, he ignored what the werewolf had done.
The vampire's trademark fangs opened and closed with a high-pitched roar, "You want me to stay away from you?!you want me to?!again?!you!" Ian almost roared, "You made me like this!"
"I'm saving you!" Anthony roared as well, "You're my brother! What do you want me to do?!Let you rot?!That's what you want?!I'm supposed to let you rot on the battlefield! It's better than now!Look at yourself! What are you?!You're a monster!"
Zach stood up from the back of his office, and the scene before him was a repetition of the scene of thirteen years ago, except that Anthony was no longer young and the location was no longer a battlefield.
"Anthony!"
Zach's voice was unusually abrupt in the quiet office, because only the suppressed breathing of the two people was now in the air.
The power of time cannot be ignored. Time represents growth, and growth means that when history repeats itself, people don't let events go the same way.
Zach doesn't want to lose Ian again, does Anthony want to lose his brother again?
"Am I a monster?" Ian's voice was no longer a roar, but a chilling coldness. He pointed to himself, "You created this monster." â
Anthony's eyes have softened, and a middle-aged man's softened eyes can only make people sad. When he saw his brother, who was still as young as before, he seemed to have forgotten about his 'growth', and now that he remembered it, it seemed too late.
"Now, it's up to you to destroy this monster. Ian looked at Anthony and raised his hand.
In the spread palm, a golden medallion lay in the palm of his hand. While the two were in the basement, the conversation was not so intense, and they were still in the polite stage of 'what have you been doing lately', the two brothers were laughing with the Order of Purple Hearts.
'It's yours. â
'No, it's for you. â
Now, Ian picked up the medallion and held it in front of him with both hands pinching the edges.
"Ian!" Zach stepped out from behind his desk, "what are you going to do!" but Zach was late.
The sharp nails pierced the medal of honor that belonged to him, and Ian's hands parted in the middle. With the sound of metal cracking, the medal was torn apart!
One thing was overlooked. Growing up only with Zach and Anthony, Ian slept for thirteen years. People who live in sleep do not grow.
Zach's finger retracted the moment it touched Ian, and without warning, sparks burst out of Ian's skin!
How do you define a person's legal status in a certain area? Let me tell you: birth certificates, death certificates, funeral records.
Now, let's cross out the funeral record. Because when these records are no longer part of the public information of the city and become the private records of the funeral home, their validity is erased. When Hank Sr. and Grande Sr. wrote Ian Anthony on the memos of the record, they couldn't have predicted what would happen thirteen years later.
Birth Certificate, Death Certificate. Neither of these locations in Barton City made no sense to Ian Anthony. In these records, he is already a deceased who does not exist in ZĂ i, and he cannot be recognized by Anthony, as the mayor, as a legal citizen of the Union in the city of Barton.
The only reason the vampire was able to walk the land of Barton was because Ian Anthony was unable to accept the medal and awarded his brother, Ann Anthony, the Order of the Purple Heart.
As long as the medal remains, the definition of 'brother' remains, and the connection between Ian and Anthony remains. This is Anthony's land, and his brother is qualified to set foot on it.
But, when the medal is not there. This is what happens when the connection is severed: vampires who are not qualified to set foot in the lands of Indo-Ian blood will be reduced to ashes in the fire!
The power of the Indoan sorcerers from the Indoans who inherited the Papa Midnight bloodline against the hated invaders in order to protect their territory from all Indoan bloodlines!
Laws, definitions, are always changing, and the only thing that doesn't change is bloodline!
"Anthony!" Zach dodged the flames and slammed his receding body into the solid wood desk! he yelled at Anthony, "Invite him!"
Anthony had two erect flames in his eyes, and he opened his mouth to look at the flames in front of him.
"Anthony!" Zach rushed to the buddy, holding him on the shoulder, "What are you waiting for!
In the flames, the skin had been completely peeled off and turned into ashes, and the large muscles were constantly melting, Ian moved his lips as if to say something, and the face buried in the flames seemed to make a certain expression, but no one could see what it was.
"Invite him!"
Zach, with his back to the flames, gives the final order to Anthony!
"You can stay at Barton. â
Anthony, whose vision is occupied by red, utters this sentence.
When Zach turned his head, his eyes had turned light green, and he hugged his blackened body, which was directly soft, and turned his back to Anthony. A pair of eyes turned cold, and there were thin red rays beating in the depths of the pupils.
"He needs to rest. Zach looked at Anthony, who was still in place, and after saying this, he left the office with Ian, who was squirming and healing himself.
