Chapter 124: Grave of Greymane
When Cassadine and Ezreal were ordered to arrive, they learned that Liam had returned to Greymane on the King's Gate front, so they rushed to this side again......].
Both heroes are masters of space travel, especially Cassadine. They all realized that something might be wrong, so they rushed over at full speed. The Voidwalker sensed Liam's location and jumped straight into the room where the magic circle was imprisoned, while Ezreal took on the responsibility of solving the other troubles - there was a Dreadlord with a horde of demons and undead slaughtering the royal guards and a living creature in the manor!
It is none other than the deputy of the Grand Commander Tikdios, the other Dreadlord Marganis! The Dreadlord who had confused Gianna, Arthas, and Paladin Bathras during the attack on the Psychic Academy!
This time, instead of using those deceptive tricks, it directly revealed its true identity. It summons a huge hellfire in the courtyard and directs a large number of demons and undead to storm the manor, killing anyone on sight and destroying any living creature!
Shouts of killing and screams filled the manor. When Ezreal had just jumped in with the arcane arts, he saw corpses strewn across the field and flames everywhere!
He quickly judged the direction of the demons' attack, and after killing several minor characters along the way, he finally found a group of survivors who were fleeing, the royal doctor Cronan, who was fleeing with Princess Tens to the lookout at the back of the manor. It is the tallest building in the entire estate, and there is a cable that leads from the tower of the lookout to the sea, where escape ships are always prepared!
A dozen loyal guards guarded their retreat, but the evil enemy was in hot pursuit, and they kept falling, and the ladder to the lookout was so high and steep that no one knew if they would be able to reach the top before the demon killed the guards.
Protecting Princess Tess, Cronan hurriedly pulled out a bottle of potion from the medicine box, shoved it into Tess's hand, and shouted, "Drink, Tess!" Fast! β
Tess was flustered and grief-stricken, and her mother ...... She didn't take her unconscious mother with her...... She was woken up by the maid and fled to see a large number of demons shattering the walls and rushing into the room where her mother was. No one escaped inside. Then she met Dr. Cronan, who had come to look for her, and they fled together.
Her red eyes were swollen from crying, but her tear ducts could no longer shed tears, leaving only dry pain tormenting the otherwise carefree girl.
In just a few days, she experienced a catastrophe that ordinary people would never encounter in a lifetime. She didn't even know if her brother was safe.
ββ¦β¦ Liam, get in front of me...... Brother ......" She sobbed uncontrollably, only feeling extremely uncomfortable. She couldn't even imagine what had happened to Liam. She feared that from now on, she would be the last person with the surname Greyman.
When Cronan handed her the potion, she asked in a hoarse voice, "What kind of medicine is this?" β
"Invisibility Potion! Drink it or it's too late! Cronan urged.
Tess hesitated, thinking of her dead parents, and her brother, who was almost certainly dead, and she suddenly felt that she had nothing to love. She pushed the bottle back, her hoarse voice looking extremely lost: "No, I don't need it anymore." Cronan, thank you. Drink it! β
Cronan's blood-red eyes glared at him, and he shouted angrily, "Tess, what are you thinking! Drink it up! Immediately! β
The old man, who was over half a hundred years old, was like an angry lion, and he had never said such a serious thing to any member of the Greymane family. Tess knew it was for her good, but there was no glimmer of hope in her eyes.
There were only four or five of the guards left, all of whom were buying time for her. Every slogan "For Greymane", "For Gilne" made her heart flutter. It represented one loyal guard after another who died for her escape. She could even call each of them by name.
"Let's go, princess!"
"We're broken! Stop the demons! β
The last few men formed a line, blocking the narrow spiral staircase. One of the court mages cast a spell that shattered the passage behind them, completely cutting off their escape and the demon's pursuit.
"For Greymane!"
Tess could no longer see them as she turned the corner, but the slogan hit her heart like a hammer, making her barely breathe.
Although the royal guards tried their best to stop and shattered a spiral ladder, it was of little use to the flying enemy.
Marganis is the most threatening of them all. It had a cruel grin, rows of sharp teeth that were hideous and terrifying, and its green eyes were menacingly evil. It flies and approaches the final target.
Princess Tess was infused with an invisibility potion, a combination of alchemy and magic that made her form and the colors around her completely merge and disappear suddenly. Cronan resolutely rushed in the other direction with the rest of the group, while Tess quietly made her way to the escape hatch.
But before they were completely separated, Marganis, the mighty Dreadlord, fell before them. It stared straight in Tess's direction, its eyes teasing: "This little trick can only deceive the ignorant." β
The last two remaining court mages hurriedly summoned the elementals, a fireball and a cloud of arcane energy roaring towards Malganis, but they were all completely neutralized by a dark green magical barrier, which did not harm the demons behind the barrier in the slightest.
Crowley, Tess, and everyone else in the group fell into despair.
"It's my turn, let's see if you can defend it!" Varimathas indulged in this group of weak humans. It strode forward, raising its bloodstained claws.
The observatory is not very open, and it is equipped with a sophisticated telescope, which Tess used to like to watch the starry night sky and the waves of the sea. The manor was originally a place of vacation and refuge for the Greymane family, but it was designed in a way that made the terrifying creature of demons a defensible one.
They have no way to escape.
Will the Greymane family all be buried here?
Cronan was desperate, he saw no hope at all.
Just as Malganis was preparing to slaughter, a crescent-shaped golden barrage suddenly burst in, completely unexpected, and therefore almost unprepared. A huge amount of magical energy ran through its chest, knocking it all out of the air, landing on the edge of the lookout. It did its best to stabilize its body and not fall straight down.
But then a human suddenly appeared beside him, and he raised his left arm, which was covered with a bow made of magical energy, and his right arm condensed several energy arrows.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Three energy light arrows flew in, and at such a close distance, Malganis couldn't defend at all. The impact of the energy arrow was like the straw that broke the camel's back, completely destroying the balance it had managed to maintain. The Dreadlord screamed and fell from the lookout.
It's hundreds of feet above the ground, and even stones can fall into pieces. One can imagine what kind of treatment Malganis will suffer.
Ezreal walked over to the wall and looked down, the Dreadlord hadn't even touched the ground. He counted down the "three-two-one", and with a bang, a cloud of dust and stones rose near the location of the Dreadlord at the bottom of the cliff.
"That's it!" He withdrew his gaze and smiled at the sluggish survivors, "Hello! Does anyone need a map? Ah no, I mean, need help? β
ββ
After Liam was taken out of the room by Cassadine, he heard voices all around him, and the entire manor was ablaze with the mutilated corpses of the guards and attendants. He immediately thought that his mother was still asleep from hypnotic magic.
"Was she rescued? And Tess, how are they? β
Liam's heart trembled, and he rushed like crazy to the room where his mother had been. Cassadine had to protect him and help him clear him of all the enemies in his path. Demons and the undead.
When Liam rushed into his mother's room, he saw the saddest and most desperate scene of his lifeβa hideous-looking Doomsday Guard had just withdrawn his blood-stained blade, while another burning hellfire had set the dead body on fireβand the face was facing him, none other than his mother, Queen Mia Greymane!
The bloody scene in front of him left Liam's mind blank, he couldn't feel his body, he couldn't feel his feelings, only endless emptiness and indifference.
'What happened?' β
'The devil killed the mother'
'I will avenge her'
'I want to avenge my father'
'I want revenge for Gilneth'
'Kill these two demons'
But what about my body? β
'Why didn't I move'?
'What am I doing'
'I'...... Who is it? β
The Cassadine on the side will have a panoramic view. He saw that the spirit of the prince in front of him was on the verge of collapse.
He was under too much pressure, and in a short period of time, he suffered a huge blow, and his mental state was extremely exhausted due to the lack of rest.
If someone with a little weaker endurance encounters such a thing, I am afraid that he will be tortured and crazy a long time ago. Being able to persist until this moment is enough to show that he is determined.
Cassadine had met madmen, and his nemesis, the Void Prophet Marzaha, was one of them.
He had his own way of dealing with the situation - Cassadine slapped Liam's handsome face with a backhand in quick succession, and also called his will back. He was completely stunned, and after the tinnitus gradually subsided, his eyes regained their brightness.
"Death, demon!" He jumped to his feet, remembering the scene of his mother's tragic death before, and he finally knew what he should do.
He raised his sword, but what about the enemy? There was no trace of demons in this dilapidated room, except for the bloody corpses and burning flames.
"What about demons? Sue me, where did the devil go! Liam roared at Cassadine, his eyes bloodshot red and his expression extremely hideous.
"Gone." Cassadine replied calmly.
"Why, why not stop them!" Liam went mad, his sword pointed at Cassadine, as excited as if he were looking at a traitor.
Cassadine watched him in silence until Liam dropped his sword and let out a heart-rending cry. Queen Mia's bed burned violently, like a solemn cremation.
Liam thought of a sister who was missing, his only sister and the last relative...... Where is she? He frantically searched all the places that had not yet been ignited by the fire, and shouted Tess's name, but received no response.
Ezreal had already taken Tess, Cronan and other survivors to the escape ship via a guΓ² cable and left the manor.
Liam sat dejectedly outside the main entrance of the manor, where he had just erected two improvised tombstones. He carved out the words on it with the tip of his sword, and the handwriting appeared messy and scribbled:
"Tomb of King Jean Greymane and Queen Mia Greymane of Gilney"
"Tomb of Princess Tess Greymane of Gilneis"
There were no bodies of three people under the tombstones. The entire Greymane Estate was burning, crumbling everywhere, burying a trace of qiΔ. They don't need a grave, and this royal estate is the best one.
Greymane's ancestors are buried in the resting place of Edrich, a place west of the city of Gilneis. His father and mother should also have a place to stay after death, but ...... He no longer had access to the bodies of the three.
He felt extremely guilty in his heart, he had no shame to face them, he was unable to protect anyone, and he was completely unable to resist the attack of the Dreadlord.
'Want revenge on the devil?' β
'Want to gain the power to slay demons?' β
'Come to me! β
The voice rang in his head again, and it had come up once in the morning.
And he said, 'I am the ...... of your heart'
'Where are you?' Liam hurriedly asked in his mind.
'Find the answer in your heart,' the voice replied.
Liam only felt a pain in his head, and something new appeared in his mind:
In a cavern, the Spirit of the Ice Elemental guards a sword frozen by the Ice Edge, which is silently suspended in the air, and the inscription on the blade of the sword glows blue.
'That's my sword,' the thought popped into Liam's mind, and he felt so natural, 'Get it, and I'll be able to defeat the demon!' β
The second image is set in a world of ice and snow, with an ice-frozen throne on top of a glacier fortress. A suit of armor is sealed in the eternal ice, 'Wear it, and I will be invincible!' β
Seeing that the young prince was once again in a stupor, Cassadine could not help reminding, "It's time to go, Liam." Your people are waiting for you! β
"Yes, my people are waiting for me." He stood up, and his ears seemed to hear countless people chanting in unison:
"Liam, my king!"
"Liam, my king!"

Coming tomorrow afternoon, this should be the last chapter of the public chapter. For the sake of the integrity of the story, I didn't split it into two chapters, just consider it a benefit for the public version!
Gilneth's story is coming to an end, and a new one is coming. Please look forward to it!
