Chapter Seventy-Four: Timmy

The Gnolls are one of the most common savage, low-intelligence creatures in the world of Azeroth. They had a very primitive civilization, probably only staying at the process of using fire and simple tools.

These humanoids do not have the notion of non-existence, and their behavior is all about survival. So when they are hungry, they will collectively hunt wild animals, and if the harvest is not enough, they will naturally rob the human civilians who are weak to resist. It's winter and most of the wildlife is hibernating. The Gnoll's food reserves are running out. So they can only aim at humans.

It was a small tribe of only twenty or so gnolls. They are not capable of raiding villages, as the assembled farmers will fight with tools such as dung forks, hoes, and sickles. Not to mention that some sturdy civilians still have weapons such as bows, arrows, knives and guns at home.

So they're aimed at people who are lonely.

And today they have harvested a human child - such a prey is very suitable for its tender flesh and lack of resistance! Add some wild vegetables enough to feed the jackals of this small tribe for two meals.

They lit a fire and stripped the human child of his clothes, and another gnolla prepared a pointed wooden stick to "string" the child. That's how they used to grill food. The other gnolls looked enviously at their fellow men with pointed sticksβ€”a privilege only a gnoll warrior had.

The human child cried loudly. Just as the Gnoll warrior was about to strike, the distant hissing of arrows bursting through the air, followed by a bolt of crossbow bolts that struck it in the head, sending it flying with great force until it was nailed to the pillar of the fur tent.

"There are enemies, there are enemies!" The gnolls immediately shouted in their language.

Then they saw the enemy: a human man, and four women.

The gnolls, who were still worried about being rounded up by a large number of humans, immediately reassured themselves, and the numerical superiority gave them a great encouragement. So they picked up their rudimentary weapons and roared at them.

"Meat, more fresh meat!"

However, the results were too far from expected.

After quickly taking out the gnolls, Jiang Weihan went over to dress the human child and comfort him. There were four women present, but none of them seemed to come up to help.

Jiang Weihan swept over them and saw that they were all a little embarrassed and turned their heads away.

Wayne really doesn't look like a girl who coaxes children. Angels -- well, these angels are a little different from the ones in the myth of Christ.

He comforted the sobbing child as he looked at it: the child was about six or seven years old, white and tender, with light brown hair. He was so frightened that his eyes were swollen from crying. Even more so, he had just been stripped off his clothes and threw them on the cold ground, his lips were blue from the cold, and his nose was constantly runny.

Jiang Weihan stretched out his hand to release a warm holy light to dispel the chill on his body.

The child stopped crying at once, and he looked at Jiang Weihan in amazement and asked, "Are you a paladin, uncle?" ”

"Sort of...... Right? Jiang Weihan is also unsure of his profession: he has learned Kieran's time magic, obtained a mark from Cenarius that can cast some natural spells, and some time ago obtained the divine power of the Kyle clan from the sacred transformation ritual.

So combined, he's a combination of a summoner, a mage, a druid who can't shapeshift, and a paladin.

"Little friend, what's your name, I'll take you home." Jiang Weihan said softly.

"My name is Timmy, uncle!" The little one replied.

Timmy: ?

Jiang Weihan looked at the child's innocent blue eyes again in amazement.

It can't be such a coincidence, right?

"What's your name, uncle?" Timmy asked innocently.

"My name is Jiang Weihan."

"Jiang, Jiang-Wei-Han?" Timmy struggled to bite the word. The Chinese pronunciation of the lingua franca of mankind seems a bit awkward.

"Well, yes. Where is your home, let's send you home! Jiang Weihan reached out and picked up Timmy.

Wayne frowned slightly when she heard that she was going to send the child home, "But over thereβ€”" She referred to tracking Brooks.

"I'll go with Hiko, and you and Kyle will continue to chase. I'll be able to teleport with a teleportation beacon then! ”

The two teams separated, and Jiang Weihan and Hiko returned to the village with Timmy. Yan asked in a low voice, "Commander, this kid?" ”

"It's kind of special." Jiang Weihan told about Timmy according to his memory:

In the original World of Warcraft. When Prince Alsace travels to investigate the plague, he is asked by a mother to retrieve her missing son, Timmy, in a village. It turns out that Timmy has been snatched by the gnolls. Timmy was later rescued, but his village was attacked by the orcs, who captured most of the village.

At that time, Timmy asked the prince: What about those who were captured by the orcs?

The prince replied: "Don't worry, son, I will bring them home."

But the prince's promise was not fulfilled. By the time he arrived at the orc camp, they had already been slaughtered by the orcs.

This scene hit Alsace deeply. But even more deplorable, while hunting down Kel'thugad, the culprit who unleashed the plague, Arthas found a small ghoul in a cage that doesn't attack people - but its name is Timmy!

It was almost a stab in the heart of Arthas. He made promises, but failed to keep his people safe. This deep frustration plunged the proud Alsace into agony.

When Jiang Weihan was playing World of Warcraft, he met Timmy again in the Scarlet Zone of Stratholme - by this time he had become the Scourge Leader of the Scarlet Zone, named "Tragic Timmy".

As a matter of common sense, the time was months ahead and Timmy shouldn't have been caught by the gnolls. But now that Jiang Weihan has encountered such a thing, he has a ridiculous premonition: Is he going to replace Arthas and become the one condemned by conscience?

Hiko asked softly, "You mean, maybe something happened to Timmy's village?" ”

"I'm afraid so."

Ten minutes later, Jiang Weihan followed Timmy's guidance to find his homeβ€”but from a distance, he knew that something had happened here. Because the whole village was full of smoke and fire. Some villagers are fighting fires everywhere.

Jiang Weihan rushed into the village quickly, grabbed a panicked villager and asked, "What happened?" ”

The middle-aged villager saw him and the angel next to him, and his eyes widened in shock: "You, you are the Great Lord Jiang of Valoran?" ”

Jiang Weihan didn't expect his reputation to spread here, but he thought it must be because of Angel Yan.

"I am."

The villagers immediately said angrily, "A group of orcs has come to rob our village, and most of the people in the village have been captured or killed by the ferocious beasts!" They also set fire to our house, damn it! ”

"Are Timmy's parents still around?" Jiang Weihan hurriedly asked.

The villager looked at Timmy in his arms with a sad face: "His parents have been taken away. ”

Jiang Weihan's heart sank, he entrusted Timmy to the villagers, and asked the direction in which the orcs left: "I will try to save them." ”

"Thank you so much, Your Excellency, Great Lord!"

Timmy looked at Jiang Weihan with big eyes before leaving his embrace: "Uncle Jiang, will you save your parents and those who were captured from the orcs?" ”

Jiang Weihan nodded heavily, "I'll do my best - at least I'll make the orcs pay!" ”

He was a little afraid to meet Timmy's innocent gaze. At the same time, he began to feel some sympathy for the fallen Alsace in the original history - not everyone can withstand the whipping of the heart. Or so many times.

"Hiko!" He gestured.

Angel Hiko took his hand and took him into the sky. Now the sooner they arrive, the better they can save those who have been captured.

……

It was getting dark. Anubaraq contacted more than 300 of his Crypt Demons. Brooks followed it, raiding an orc camp. He could tell from the orc signs that they originally belonged to some branch of the Blackstone tribe. The camp is home to some evil teleportation arrays, which orc warlocks use to communicate with the demons of the warped void in order to gain their support.

These orcs are completely subservient to demonic power. Normally, they should be natural allies of natural disasters, but they are not. Not only is it because the Lich King harbors different intentions, but there are also many races of demons, and not all demons know about the relationship between the Lich King and Kilgardan.

So whether it's Anubaraq or Brooks, when they sneak attack these orcs, they don't have a psychological burden at all.

Prepared against unprepared, the raid was a complete success. Brooks had more than a hundred of his converted orcs.

"Let's go to the next orc camp, where there are more than three hundred orcs, a very strong force." Anubarak let out a shrill laugh.

"Lead the way!"

To Brooks' surprise, he saw not only orcs but also many human captives in this camp!

"Surprise!"

"Good news."

And so their ranks expanded once again.

When Jiang Weihan saw the burning tent on this camp in the sky, he realized that he might be too late.

He and Hiko fell to the ground, and when they saw the mess all over the ground, their hearts kept sinking.

The camp was littered with blood and severed limbs. He picked up a hard arthropod and recognized it as the part of the crypt demon that had sneaked up on them from behind during the day. Not far away, such corpses were scattered around.

"We're a step too late." Jiang Weihan's voice was a little dry.

Hiko whispered, "The Scourge spider monster has attacked this orc camp and killed the human captives along the way. ”

"Blox and Anubaraq have been here. And their ranks have expanded. Jiang Weihan was silent for a while, and said in a deep voice, "Let's go, catch up with Kyle and them, we should not be too far from the goal." ”

Hiko took his hand and flew into the sky once more.
