CH.62 Cloud Wizard
Cheryl is a resolute businesswoman, and the day after she agreed to Anrui, she organized her men to set off. She had a lot of people under her who could fight well, and she selected five of them, plus An Rui, a total of seven people set off for Yinlei Mountain.
All seven of them rode horses, and also brought an extra horse to carry supplies, and the group walked mightily on the mountain road, and the crisp sound of horses' hooves echoed in the mountains.
The seven men had a clear ranking, with two orc warriors at the front, a few other Terran warriors at the back, and Cheryl and Anrui in the center of the line, protected by the strictest.
In fact, Cheryl was the most powerful of the group, but she still insisted on this arrangement, probably out of caution.
Walking along the road, Anrui would occasionally chat with Cheryl or a few other fighters, and all they talked about was gossip, without any purpose, often thinking of what to say. After a few days, he was familiar with Cheryl and the others.
The first few days of the road were uneventful, without encountering any monster attacks, until the third day, when this stability was finally broken.
A stone crab lurking on the side of the road suddenly burst out and rushed towards the team. The orc warriors led by him bore the brunt of the attack, jumped off their horses, and started a fierce battle with the stone crabs. It wasn't long before another orc rushed over and came to help.
Anrui also wanted to come to help, but was stopped by Cheryl, who was clearly confident in the two men.
The two orcs lived up to Cheryl's trust, and after a round of fierce fighting, they successfully killed the stone crab, disemboweled the big crab, and flipped it to the ground.
This battle was only the beginning, and on the way after that, they encountered the attack of some stone crabs, as few as one or two, and as many as three or four.
Whenever there was a battle, Cheryl handed it over to her subordinates to deal with, and she never participated in the battle. There is nothing wrong with her behavior, after all, she is the boss, and the rest of the people are subordinates. You can't let her boss charge into battle and protect her subordinates in turn. If that's the case, what else do she want these men to do?
Looking at it like this, if she didn't get into big trouble, Cheryl wouldn't have gone into battle all the way with her own hands.
Unfortunately, the heavens could not let her get her wish, and when the sixth day came, a full five stone crabs were suddenly killed on the hillside by the roadside, and this number of stone crabs was enough to pose a huge threat.
If she relied on Cheryl's men alone, there would definitely be casualties in this battle, which Cheryl, the boss, did not want to see.
"Stay here, don't act rashly, and leave them to me to deal with." With a simple order, Cheryl jumped off her horse and took off a pair of black leather gloves.
There was no objection, there was only absolute obedience. Obviously, these subordinates knew Cheryl's strength as well as An Rui, and they knew that there was no need to worry about the seemingly weak woman in front of them.
An Rui also didn't meddle in things, but rode his horse to mix in the crowd, ready to watch a good show. It had been many days since he had last witnessed a wizard's battle, and the last time he was only concerned about escaping, he hadn't even looked at it. This is the right time to take the opportunity to feast your eyes.
The wizard's battle is gorgeous.
The five Shiju crabs showed a tendency to outflank and rushed over from both sides, two on one side and three on the other, with a menacing momentum.
Cheryl tucked her gloves into her pocket, then pointed her white palms at the sky.
"Dark Clouds." Cheryl lightly spat out the name of the magic cast, and the palm pointed to the air, and immediately a dark cloud converged, levitating at a height of about thirty yards.
Wizards are divided into various types according to their specializations, including white wizards, dark wizards, fire wizards, necromancers, and so on.
Cheryl took a special route, she specialized in "cloud magic", and most of the magic she casts is related to clouds, so she can be regarded as a cloud wizard.
The clouds may seem inconspicuous, soft, and non-lethal, but in the hands of wizards, they can exert all kinds of magical effects, such as ......
With a sudden wave of her palm, the dark clouds condensed in mid-air instantly dispersed, and five small dark clouds were separated from them. These five dark clouds fell, and they were unmistakably wrapped around the five Shiju crabs.
The dark clouds were extremely thick, like a cloud of ink, blocking the sight of the stone crabs, causing these stone crabs to be confused and turn into a swarm of headless flies, running around. This dark cloud is like a maggot on the tarsal bone, and the stone crab follows wherever it goes, and it can't be shaken off.
And that's just one of the small uses of cloud magic, and there's more to cloud magic than that.
"Cloud Shield." Cheryl's palms spread and slowly paddled in front of her, and another dark cloud fell from the sky, turning into a long, thick wall, protecting the group in the middle.
This cloud wall is slightly different from the previous dark clouds, not like gas at all, but like a solidified solid, giving people a very solid feeling.
Five Shiju crabs ran around, and four of them all ran in the wrong place, and even fled far away, only one Shiju crab rushed to the front of An Rui and his party by mistake, and was blocked by the cloud wall. The stone-dwelling crab opened its huge stone-like claws and cut it at the cloud wall in front of it, and after cutting it with all its might, the cloud wall only showed a scratch, but it was not damaged because of this.
"Acid Rain." Cheryl cast a third spell, puffing out her cheeks, and then spit out a strange green gas from her mouth. The gas flew into the dark clouds in mid-air, and mixed with it, forming a wonderful change.
Under Cheryl's control, the dark clouds moved above the nearest stone crab's head, pouring out a dense green acid rain from it.
The acid rain fell on the stone shell of the stone crab, and it had an instant effect, making a snorting sound, melting the stone shell into holes one after another. Due to the relatively thick shell of the stone, the stone crab did not feel any discomfort at first, but after a while, it felt the horror of acid rain, which melted the stone and penetrated into its flesh and skin.
With a strange scream, the stone crab stopped its attack on the cloud wall and fled in the other direction, trying to escape the acid rain's attack. But the dark cloud above him refused to let it go, and always followed it.
It didn't take long for the stone crab to melt into a pile of stone chips and liquid by the acid rain that poured down.
This is not over, the dark clouds with acid rain continue to pursue the rest of the Shiju crabs, and only one of them was released after the last one, and the rest were all wiped out.
A rich sour smell permeated the air, containing the remnants of several stone crabs that had escaped from their bodies.
"Cloud magic is really powerful." An Rui covered his mouth and nose with his sleeve and couldn't help but sigh. He knew that the effect of cloud magic was much more than that, and that clouds could rain not only acid rain, but also hail and lightning, each more powerful than the other.
The rest of the warriors also uttered respectful words of admiration.
Cheryl ignored these words, did not respond, put on her gloves again, rolled over and stepped onto her mount, and ordered the team to continue on its way.
This small turmoil passed, and on the way thereafter, everyone never encountered much threat, and the journey was smooth sailing, and they successfully arrived at Yinlei Mountain.
An Rui, Sha Fei and the others converged in one place, and after a while of greetings, they each talked about what had happened in the past few days.
During the days that Anrui was away, Shafi and Berego were idle, and they went to hunt a second, smaller Thundering Demon Tree, and succeeded. This is good news, the Thundering Demon Tree is a good shipbuilding material, and can be used to make other parts of the ship's hull in addition to the keel.
Anrui also introduced Cheryl to Shafi and explained the transaction between the two parties.
Cheryl said very little, and after a brief chat, she went straight to the point, got down to business, and took out the space treasure chest.
This space treasure chest has always been placed on the back of a horse, the whole is half a yard in size, not very large, the whole body is painted black, the corners are wrapped in shining gold edges, and the front is locked with a lock.
Cheryl picked up the space treasure chest and whispered to the lock, probably saying some kind of secret language. The lock opened, and the lid of the chest opened, revealing the inside of the chest.
The scene inside was very supernatural, like a miniature realm, shrinking everything several times and then compressing it inside. As you can see from the above, there are many books, mountains of gold and silver treasures, and all kinds of precious materials, and so on.
Cheryl put her hand into the box, and a magical scene happened, her hand seemed to reach into the water, rippling in circles, and the whole arm quickly shrunk to the length of a finger. The arm suspended outside the box was still of normal size, but the part that could reach into the box was several times smaller.
An Rui and the others gathered around, all showing curiosity and looking at this scene with great interest.
The miniature arm tinkered in the box for a while, rearranging the contents to make room for the Thundering Demon Tree.
After tidying up the box, Cheryl pulled out her arm, walked over to the two Thundering Demon Trees and a dragon bone in her hand, and aimed the mouth of the box at these things. It was another magical scene, as if they were being pulled by an invisible force, these things flew into the box one after another, shrinking several times. The huge thundering demon tree looked like a wooden stick at this time.
"Alright, let's go back to the city." Cheryl closed the lid of the box and turned around.
