Chapter 22: The Kingdom of God (2)

Li Zhen didn't chase it, and of course Bai Xiaodang didn't dare to chase it. She took a deep breath and said, "What to do?" ”

Li Zhen glanced at her calmly, withdrew his hand and patted it: "Then let's continue walking." ”

The expression on his face was so calm, as if nothing could disturb his state of mind. This calmness infected Bai Xiaodang, she nodded and mumbled.

As they continued on, the tunnel grew wider and wider, and the vegetation grew more and more luxuriant – they saw small insects fluttering and even heard birds chirping. A little light appeared in front of them, and as they approached quickly, it seemed as if the light was walking opposite them.

After walking a dozen steps, I suddenly became enlightened.

The fresh air and the bright sunlight rushed together, as if a person suddenly pushed open the window, and the whole world spread out in front of him.

To be honest, Li Zhen didn't expect the so-called Kingdom of God to be like this.

Now they stood in the middle of a high cliff, straight up and down, and straight up and down. The cliff face is covered with large patches of verdant plants with large patches of small milky white flowers. The rich aroma is brought to you by the breeze, and you feel drunk all over your body after just one breath.

Overhead was a blue sky that was about to drip water, and a few clouds like cotton wool fluttered lazily. The sunlight shines through the hole, and bees and smaller insects flutter in the sunlight, and the green leaves are translucent by the sunlight, as if carved from extremely thin jade.

Li Zhen couldn't help but reach out and twist the leaf. This time he ran into it. The leaves were twisted by him into pale green juice, giving off a faint scent of grass. It couldn't be more true.

And Bai Xiaodang was completely stunned. Because she saw what was beneath the cliffs.

The bottom of the valley is supposed to be surrounded by mountains, but it is too big to stretch to the end of the sky to meet the blue sky, but there is still no trace of the mountains at the other end.

Several meandering rivers sparkle and sparkle to the bottom of the cliffs and disappear nowhere, flanked by large fields of fields. She couldn't tell what kind of crop was growing in the field, but she speculated that it might be wheat or shady olive groves.

But there are still buildings.

It is not a lonely, towering, glorious, sacred temple, but a cluster of dwellings with a great sense of life. Pile after night of white houses make up a town, and from them it looks like a giant wheel. There is something suspicious of a shrine in the center of the town, and the temple sits in an empty huge square. Sixteen wide roads radiate out from the center of the square, along which the buildings swell one by one.

Bai Xiaodang couldn't see the specific situation in the town clearly. However, Li Zhen could see it.

There are a lot of tiny figures walking the streets. Go in and out of those buildings. If his vision did not deceive himself, then most of what he saw was human—ordinary humans with no great abilities.

Li Zhen felt a little overwhelmed for a moment - in fact, he had been having a hard time experiencing this feeling lately.

He had imagined that enemies would come at him, that there would be sinister traps, and that Zeus would be waiting for him at the end of the tunnel. But I didn't expect to see such a world realm—a world like the Garden of Eden or the Peach Spring.

It is extremely rare to see such a beautiful scenery in the industrialized society of mankind. Although there is a slight weirdness in this beauty.

Li Zhen and Bai Xiaodang stood at the entrance of the cave and waited for more than ten minutes. However, no one showed up.

The town was far away, at least two kilometers away, making it even less likely that the people in the town would see them both. But Li Zhen would not be foolish enough to think that the rulers of this place were not aware of their arrival either. If this is really Zeus who created it. Then it means that this world realm is his realm, and any intrusive outsider will touch his sensitive nerves.

"What are we going to do?" Bai Xiaodang asked.

"Let's fly." Li Zhen said.

Without waiting for Bai Xiaodang to answer, he grabbed the woman's waist and shot it into the sky like a sharp arrow.

He no longer had to use his wings, though they had left him with many memories. Now he has enough power to do whatever he wants.

The river beneath your feet quickly thinned, and the white disc town became a button. So the two of them found that there were five more such towns, separated by more than ten kilometers from each other. There are six towns in total, forming a hexagonal shape. Central Area ...... It's a huge open space. The clearing is flat and reflects the sunlight like a giant mirror. There was no vegetation, no man-made structures, and no people. If it's a square, unless it's for a giant with a height of 100 meters.

Bai Xiaodang showed obvious interest in those towns, and so did Li Zhen. But the purpose of his trip was not sightseeing, strictly speaking, he did not come to fight Zeus. So he didn't have the time or mood to go deep into the towns to investigate the living conditions of the inhabitants—though he thought it must be a rather interesting world.

But at this moment, the land beneath their feet changed.

Li Zhen flew up to find something else from above, so he had a full view of the six towns. Now, he noticed that the radial streets of those towns suddenly lit up. The sun is shining brightly, and the streets are milky white, so it stands to reason that even the strongest light will seem insignificant. But he did notice a noticeable change in the brightness of the streets—the stone that used to look white was now translucent.

The light converged on the building in the center of each town.

The house, like all the houses in town, had a strange appearance. The aesthetics of the humans here seem to be very different from those of the outer world, and they prefer asymmetrical beauty.

Li Zhen remembers that the houses in the center of the city looked like half horizontal droplets of water – and most of the houses surrounding the square were of this structure. Now the half drop began to tremble slightly, and then ...... As soon as the light bloomed, it actually rose!

So Li Zhen realized that his description was actually very appropriate.

It was indeed a horizontal droplet, and now it was all floating on the ground.

He didn't know how to describe his current mood.

He could accept the fact that Zeus had created this world. It can even be assumed that the humans who live here are descendants of the ancients who were brought here by Zeus.

As for the buildings, he can also be said that those ancients developed their unique architectural skills - after all, it is not surprising if they were really isolated from the outside world for thousands of years.

But what's happening now...... It should never be here!

Because he didn't feel any fluctuations in his abilities—that meant the amount of force that lifted the six drop-shaped objects in the center of the six towns into the air...... Maybe it's called technology.

This shouldn't be the level of skill that humans should have—the Anthropocene realm outside can't do it. He didn't see any obvious propulsion on the object that had lifted off, not even a tail flame or anything like that. In fact, before they were lifted, there were even quite a few people surrounding the buildings.

"It's ......" he frowned, an overly bold speculation bursting into his mind.

In just a few moments, the teardrop-shaped building had begun to rise at a uniform rate. The speed of the ascent is not fast, Li Zhen speculates that it is only fifty kilometers per hour. But that just means that the technique is terrible.

They look like elevators, going somewhere in the sky. So Li Zhen raised his head and tried to look higher in the sky—he finally saw a small black dot vaguely. Based on his visual acuity, the black dot suspended in the vast sky was at least ten kilometers away from him.

The end of the six "elevators" may be there.

Zeus should be there, right?

"What are we going to do now?" Bai Xiaodang asked such a question again. She then became annoyed that she had behaved too unprofessionally. She has always hated the kind of woman who only asks "what to do", but she didn't expect that everything she saw today would make her that kind of person.

But the scene in front of her was indeed beyond her ability, and she really didn't know what else to say in addition to this sentence to hide the panic in her heart.

Li Zhen hesitated for a moment and flew forward in silence. Then he stood out of thin air beside the way the elevator had to go.

A few minutes later, the thing went up. Li Zhen saw every detail of it.

Both had thought that the buildings might be stone, but now they realized that they were some kind of metal. The outer walls of the rising "water droplets" became translucent, and Li Zhen saw that its interior was almost hollow - leaving no room for the propulsion or navigation systems that were supposed to be there.

The droplets are huge, perhaps the size of half a football field. It's a huge space that has two floors, and the floor is full of things. But the piles of things were familiar to both of them—grain, vegetables, fruits, cloth, and even some large pieces of stone. There are also people inside. But those humans behaved calmly and indifferently, as if they were humans from the outside world riding a bus.

And this calm was maintained until those humans discovered the existence of Li Zhen and Bai Xiaodang through the translucent shell.

Without the expected alertness or surprise, several people glanced in this direction and bowed slightly—as if to salute.

Then the droplets passed over them and continued to rise into the air.

Li Zhen and Bai Xiaodang glanced at each other, and found the same surprise in each other's eyes.

"What do you see?" Li Zhen asked in a low voice.

"They've seen people like us." Bai Xiaodang said. She tried to calm her mind, intending to offer a more valuable reference, "People like us, or kinds, or 'gods' who live here. ”

But they weren't afraid and didn't show extra respect...... This means that the 'gods' have a very good relationship with these human beings and are present from time to time. So those people see them as 'elders' rather than gods. I guess this thing goes to heaven...... It's to deliver provisions, to those species that inhabit the sky. ”

Bai Xiaodang thought about it, and then added: "This may also show ...... They are a class of people like no other. (To be continued......)
