Section 5: Rights Tree

In the 90s, Serie A was the most developed area of football in the world, and here, there is also the most systematic and sufficient management model, how many positions does a football team have? It's hard to explain. To put it mildly, a team of more than 20 players, a coach on top, a manager, a club president, this is the completion of the overall structure of a team. But in reality, a team can never be managed by three people. However, these three people are indeed representatives of three kinds of people.

Speaking of which, the components of the team, that is, the board, the management, the coaching staff and the dressing room.

Boards of directors tend to have very little to do with things, they see the team as a company, and they are the owners of the company. Of course, different bosses have different pursuits, some people need the team to do what they need to do, which is to make money for themselves, while some people use the company as other publicity or tools.

Under normal circumstances, the board of directors rarely intervenes in the affairs of the team, usually a chairman as a representative, and even if there are people in the team, it is usually a financial director, or a director of operations, who is responsible for the team's commercial affairs - but it is not excluded that some teams are particularly, such as the Glazer family, who arranged five financial directors at Manchester United in one go, but this is a minority after all.

Of course, it's not that such a thing is the worst board of directors, each has its own misfortunes, and all kinds of nonsense boards emerge one after another. Some management likes to meddle indiscriminately and act generously, but the buyer is simply happy for the chairman and doesn't care about anything else. For example, Inter Milan president Moratti is famously meddled in the team's affairs, and people even say that he has a godson everywhere, while Milan's Silvio Berlusconi is quite fond of tactical advice, and he has asked the team to have four tens on the pitch together, or the team must play two central strikers – because he likes to. And Chelsea is similar, although Abu is not the chairman, but he meddles more than the chairman, and he is also a variety of stewards.

But no matter how bad these chairmen are, they will pay for them. And some boards of directors are dead and alive and don't pay money, because a few people on the board of directors have a dispute over equity, no one takes money, and sits and watches the team lose money and wait for others to sell shares - Arsenal is a typical example, the board of directors is full of rich people, but no one pays for it. They even wish the team would lose money, and then they could buy all the stakes in the team......

But even compared with them, there is a kind of board of directors that is even more unconscionable - this is the group of bosses who appeared in Serie A during the Xiaoshi World Cup. They spend tomorrow's money today, put the team in debt, and at the end of the day, they declare bankruptcy or dismissal, and the team is directly unlucky. The worst is Florence, which went bankrupt directly, was relegated to level C2, and started all over again. Palma is now in custody and is also in jeopardy.

And if the board of directors is not looking for trouble, then the next level below them is management.

The representative of the management is the manager, but the power of the manager depends on the specifics. Although the managers of the team are some very well-known, they are not all words. For example, Juventus's Moggi is very famous, but the management of Juventus is composed of team manager Moggie, treasurer Girawudo and vice president Betga. Galliani is very famous, but there is also a transfer manager Braida behind them, and behind them, there is also a little, but influential, Baresi. For most team management, things are also complicated.

Serie A is very different from the Premier League. The habit in the Premier League is that the coach is in charge of everything, but Serie A is divided into powers. This is not without reason.

The vast majority of coaches are retired players or football-related people. Most of their time is also spent on tactics and personnel training, and a coach rarely has the energy to negotiate transfers.

The transfer of the team requires the accumulation of connections. In fact, if you carefully study the Premier League, you will find that the Premier League coaches do have a lot of power, but the Premier League's recruitment, in fact, is rarely carried out from outside the British Isles, even if it is a purchase, before the 21st century, it is also from the Netherlands, France and other football exporting countries to buy, Italy and Spain players, they can't dig them, let alone South American players - Manchester United did not have Brazilian players until 2003. The reason for this is, firstly, that the league was poor at the time, and secondly, there is a real lack of connections. This kind of problem has actually plagued the Premier League for a long time, until the new century, Arsenal relied on Wenger to introduce Frenchmen, Ferguson found Queiroz as an assistant coach, opened the Portuguese Super League's connections, and Chelsea ushered in Abou, picked up the money and smashed it, which made the Premier League rise. And those teams that don't have such a relationship, Leeds United, Newcastle, etc., are much worse.

After all, the introduction of reinforcements is not a lip to a mouth, to say: our team has potential! Then the players can bow their heads one after another, take the initiative to reduce their salaries, and work without regrets. Many players need to be negotiated, especially many South American players' contracts are not standardized, a player, his contract is likely to be 15% of his own, the first agent has 20%, the second agent has 20%, and his parent team has 45%, and then he was loaned by the parent team to another team - when negotiating, it is necessary to negotiate with the five parties at the same time, no matter how domineering the overlord is, he can't let so many people bow down at the same time, which also leads to buying a person, Sometimes the manager has to fly back and forth between Europe and South America for half a year, and all these things are left to the coach, and the coach has time for anything else?

Moreover, Serie A is different from the Premier League, many of the coaches of the Premier League are tied to the club and will not be easily replaced, while the coaches of Serie A are often changed, and even the meritorious coach of a team goes to the sworn enemy to coach is also a common thing, if the transfer rights are given to the coach, then it is easy to have problems, for example, whether Lippi really ate kickbacks during his coaching at Inter Milan, no one can say......

Besides, sometimes the team can't leave everything to the manager, and the manager needs to do the rest. For example, when the team plays away, the arrangement of food and living is a very important thing. Milan lost the Champions League with Marseille in 92, and it has always been insisted that Marseille drugged the hotel diet in Milan, and if this really happened, it was the manager's responsibility. Of course, in fact, by '93, Milan's manager was indeed watching from the kitchen of the hotel where Milan was staying - but Milan still lost.

There are many other examples, Ferguson said in his autobiography that in the Champions League final in '09, Manchester United's hotel in Rome did not even have lights. And Barcelona have always insisted that the loss in the semi-finals in 10 years had a significant deal to do with the eruption of volcanic ash and having to travel long distances by bus. Of course, these words are quite suspicious of making excuses for themselves, but I have to say that this is all the manager's job not to do.

Sometimes, a good team manager is on top of the top half of the sky.

And below the management, there is the coaching staff.

The team has a head coach, and a coach cannot be without his own team. Generally speaking, a soccer coach with an assistant coach, a strength and conditioning coach, a scouting director and a goalkeeper coach are the people he trusts the most.

Generally speaking, as a football team, in addition to the coach, there must always be an assistant coach - after the coach has formulated the tactics, he needs to discuss with the assistant coach, and the coach has any ideas, and the assistant coach has to help him arrange them. The usual training of the players, the assistant coach to help the coach complete, the relationship in the locker room, the assistant coach to help the coach dredge a good assistant coach, is an extremely valuable asset of a team, can help the head coach to complete a lot of tasks, and many world coaches are keen to go everywhere with their own personal team, in order to better implement their own ideas.

And sometimes, a team doesn't even have just one assistant coach. Some managers prefer to use two coaches. One talks to him about the details of the tactics, while the other is in charge of the team's training. After all, there is no such thing as a head coach in this world: 442! Then the players automatically understood, the progress bar soared, and all had a tacit understanding. There is no coach patting the players and saying: I am optimistic about you! Then the players were moved to tears, loyalty value max, ability soaring things. Tactical details have to be explained carefully, and the players have to pay attention to their training, and all that is needed is the help of the assistant coach.

In addition to maintaining the team's physical training and keeping the players good in training and games, there is also a very important thing for the fitness coaches to keep their players in shape. Before the game, the strength and conditioning coach has to tell the head coach who is in good shape and can play, and who is not in good shape and can't run much. This job is actually the most offensive to the players, and it also needs the most serious and responsible work, what the coach needs is not afraid of offending the big names, and people who can truly reflect the situation will naturally not easily hand over this job to outsiders.

The scouting director is simpler: one of the tasks of this person is to understand the manager's grasp of the team, know what kind of people the team needs, and then search for players for the team. On the other hand, they are also the ones who observe the opponents the most, and before major games, they continuously observe the opponents, look for the flaws of the opponents, and give feedback to their head coach in time. This person's task is also quite important, and there is absolutely no room for error.

Goalkeeper coaching is a different issue. The position of the goalkeeper is too important, and there is always a saying in the football world that the goalkeeper is half a team, and this is the position that needs to be paid the most attention. Moreover, the training that needs to be carried out in different positions and other positions is nothing more than tactical, physical, and technical training, but the goalkeeper position also needs a certain degree of psychological training. The vast majority of managers are not goalkeepers, and it's hard to understand how goalkeepers feel when they see the ball in the box, or when they're doing nothing for 20 minutes straight. Generally speaking, after a game, because of nervousness and anxiety, a goalkeeper will lose two or three kilograms of weight - compared to other players, the goalkeeper's consumption may even be greater. Therefore, a good goalkeeper coach is also a must for the team.

Moreover, there is another reason why the goalkeeper coach is important: the goalkeeper coach is different from other positions, and the most important thing in this position is to demonstrate in person, and many movements must be demonstrated in person, as if teaching beginners. Therefore, this also requires that the goalkeeper coach must be in shape, even if he retires, he must be able to demonstrate in person from time to time, which is quite difficult.

Therefore, it is not without reason that many coaches, in their own coaching staff, have their own goalkeeper coaches.

Some people say that assistant coaches can determine the strength of a team, goalkeeper coaches represent the team's legacy, and scouts are a sign of professionalism - these positions are indispensable for a coach.

The coaching staff is called the coaching staff because it is a group. The head coach, two assistant coaches, a strength and conditioning coach, a scouting director, and a goalkeeper coach, a six-person coaching staff is the best configuration for this level of coaching.

Of course, some small teams, if they don't meet this requirement, will generally cut an assistant coach, or let the physical coach, or the team's youth director also serve as the team's assistant coach.

Li Bin has been a scouting director, a transfer manager, a youth director, and the head of the team's youth team in Serie A, but now he wants to be the head coach.

And around him, Hertz Borg, Lorenz Esposito, Marco Piazza, these are the coaching staff that he has been preparing for a long time.
