Chapter 2 Where to go
The morning was just a small episode, and it wasn't something that needed to be kept in the mind for either Gendina or Lulunaka - maybe a bad thing for Gendina that would make her mood worse for the day, but for Lulunaka, it was a fun thing. Although Zhendina has never figured out what this person who "adopted" her is thinking about in normal times.
With no time to argue over breakfast, Jendina thinks she's a person who knows how to control herself, at least better than the woman next to her who does whatever she wants and has no conscience at all.
The campfire has burned out and there is nothing to recycle. In this wasteland where you can only see the faint plateau in the distance, Zhendina didn't expect that she would sleep so hard last night, this is definitely not a good environment. "You haven't told me where we're going next. Gendina asked Luluna as she carried her luggage back to the carriage. Of course, the two of them did not go on foot, and Lulunaka had a stunningly large carriage, but it looked very dilapidated on the outside, and even the two mules pulling the carriage in front of them were so old that they seemed to be unable to lift their heads, which made people feel pitifulβhow could they meet such a cruel master as Lulunaka, even if they were about to lose their walk, and have to pull such a heavy weight that was too much burden for them?
The dilapidated carriage was Lulunaka's travel tool and her mobile workshop. Lulunaka called it the Whimsy. Zhendina couldn't see any wonderful elements in this mobile workshop, it was dirty and broken, like something that had been abandoned for more than ten years before being dragged out and used again.
"Where are you going next? Lulunaka pulled out the parchment map, her eyes pressed to it, and squinted, "Now we're ...... Where are we?"
"Further east, we will reach the Republic of Vist. Zhendina sighed, "Are we going there?"
"The Republic of Vist. Lulunaka nodded, "Of course you have to go there, it's the most prosperous place in the east, and it's full of gold, so you can't miss this opportunity." β
"Isn't this the most prosperous place in the East East?" said Gendina.
Lulunaka thought for a moment before she continued, "Eastburg...... Ispoo ...... That's true, but it's almost tasty. β
"Almost smelly?" Jindina didn't understand what Lulunaka meant.
"It's only been a dozen years. Lulunaka laughed, "Espour, built on the ruins of the King's Castle, is still a long way from the prosperity it deserves. You'll probably be an old woman by then. β
Zhendina shook her head and said nothing more. Becoming an old woman seemed a little distant to her.
But it wasn't a long time for Lulunaka, maybe time was just a blink of an eye that would slip through the sand between your fingers.
"But it's too early to go to the Republic of Vis. Lulunaka continued, "Before you go there, let's go somewhere else. Lulunaka continued to look at the map, "It's good to go north...... If you head northeast, you'll reach the Land of Wyverns. β
At the mention of the Land of the Dragon, Jindina's face turned very bad, "I don't want to see a large beast that can fly for a while...... she remembered some not very good memories, and these memories were brought to her by Lulunaka.
"Then you can skip the Land of the Wyvern and go directly to the Warcraft Plains in the north. Lulunaka had no intention of forcing Zhendina, and immediately gave up the choice of going to the Land of the Dragons. "When you get to the Warcraft Plains, then consider whether to continue north to the north or go west to the Divine Alliance......"
"Isn't there an option to go east?" asked Jindina. It was just a casual question, and it didn't mean anything else, but Lulunaka answered her seriously: "It's a little difficult to go further east...... For a child like you, it's a foreign land, a world where you cry at night because of loneliness. β
"I'm not a kid who would cry because of something like this. Zhendina frowned, "And I don't have a hometown where I can cry because of this." β
Lulunaka nodded, "That's true, if you had, I wouldn't have met you." A child with a happy life has no chance to meet a villain like me. β
Gendina thinks that Lulunaka will occasionally say something quite right.
"And if you go east, maybe some sensitive people will come to the door, which is a very troublesome thing...... There is no absolute meaning of freedom. β
After this, Lulunaka and Gendina packed up their things and boarded the Whimsy. Lulunaka's kick landed on the mule's ass, and the mule began to move forward at a very slow pace. The mule looked old, but at least it could keep the Wonder moving smoothly.
There's no fun in the wasteland, and if there's any special fun, it's just beasts, monsters, or humans with bad intentions that ordinary people would never want to encounter.
On the way, Gendina remembered something. "That meat you let me eat in the morning...... How did you find a place like this?" Thinking of the delicious broth in the morning, Jindina had no idea of the aftertaste, and the vomiting sensation welled up in her throat again.
"It's not a strange thing to have something underground in this area. Lulunaka said, "Maybe there's something moving underground right now, you just don't know it." β
"Don't say it, I'm a little sick to my stomach. Jindina covered her mouth. Memories tend to fade over time, but at least not now, and now she can only vividly recall what she had eaten this morning. "I'm going to lie down......" Zhendina returned to the carriage, the jolting of the wheels turning on the ground made her even more uncomfortable.
"Don't spit in it. Lulunaka kindly reminded Zhendina, "There are a lot of precious materials in there, and you can't compensate for selling ten." β
Jindina sometimes wished she would be sold, rather than be tossed like this. But it's all just a thought, the outside world is very sinister, and Lulunaka is a bad woman, but not so bad that she hates it.
By the time Zhendina got out of the carriage, half a day had passed. Then she saw a lot of pedestrians coming in front of her, and a carriage full of things. If it were just travelers, they wouldn't be so concentrated, and these people looked hurried and had a sense of desolation, not to mention travelers.
"Is there a war again?" asked Gendina, who indeed looked like refugees who had been forced to leave their homeland and homeland.
"Who knows. Lulunaka looked at the people passing by the Wonders, "Maybe it's a natural disaster." β
