Chapter 265: Facing the Pacers
Soon, when it was time for the game, Luan Jiye was packing up his things in the bedroom and preparing to rush to the Toyota Center, at this time, Hu Hanying wanted to come in to help, Luan Jiye took out a ticket and handed it to Hu Hanying, saying, "It's not recommended to go to the scene to watch my handsome performance, right?" ”
Hu Hanying took the ticket and said, "If you are more careful." ”
Luan Jiye listened to Hu Hanying's words, smiled, and then swore an oath: "Don't worry, I can't be injured so easily, the last injury was just an accident, I'll be careful, let's go, just follow me there." ”
Hu Hanying also quickly changed into clothes, thinking about it, and picked up a Luan Jiye jersey, Luan Jiye asked, "What are you doing with it?" ”
"I'm going to support you!" Hu Hanying said with a smile.
Luan Jiye listened, his heart warmed, and then he put on his bag, took Hu Hanying's hand and said, "Let's go, I can't wait to show you!" ”
The two of them took a taxi and went straight to the Toyota Center, and after arriving at the place, Luan Jiye said: "I'll go in first, you wait for ten minutes, and then take the ticket in!" ”
"Hmmm! Good! Rest assured! Hu Hanying said.
Luan Jiye walked into the game venue with confidence, the players of the Rockets arrived after a while, the players of the Pacers also entered the Toyota Center Gymnasium early, and the fans also walked in one after another, Luan Jiye saw Hu Hanying sitting in one of the positions, so he relaxed and began to warm up.
The Indiana Pacers are a professional basketball team based in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, affiliated with the Central Division of the NBA's Eastern Conference.
The Pacers were formed in 1967 and joined the American Basketball Association (ABA) and won three ABA championships in 1970, 1972 and 1973. After the merger of the American Basketball Association and the National Men's Basketball League (NBA) in 1976, the Pacers became one of four teams from the original ABA league to join the NBA.
The Pacers failed to make the NBA playoffs in the '70s, but in the '80s they began to make a series of changes to the roster and made some improvements, and in the '90s they reached the Eastern Conference Finals four times under the leadership of coaches Larry Brown and Larry Bird, gradually establishing themselves as a powerhouse. In 2000, he reached the finals under the leadership of Reggie Miller, but finally lost.
Indiana has always been a basketball powerhouse, and the local community has always been very supportive of the high school basketball teams and the Hoosiers, the varsity team of Indiana University, especially after the success of the Indianas under head coach Bob Knight in the seventies and eighties.
So in 1967, eight businessmen each contributed a few thousand dollars to form the Pacers, officially joining the ABA (American Basketball Association). The first player the Pacers signed was Roger Brown, who was taken out of the factory floor to sign. Brown went on to become the most legendary star in Pacers history.
Roger Brown Brown (May 22, 1942 – March 4, 1997), born in Brooklyn, New York, USA, was a former American professional basketball player who played as a forward/guard, nicknamed "The Rajah".
Roger Brown played for the Indiana Pacers in the ABA since 1967 and later played for the Memphis Voices and the Utah Starlights, winning the ABA championship three times, being named the ABA playoff MVP in 1970, being named to the ABA All-Star team four times, being named to the ABA All-Star Team in 1971 and the All-America Second Team twice.
In 1975, Roger Brown announced his retirement, he was the first basketball player to sign with the Pacers and the first player in ABA history to score more than 10,000 points (10,498 points), but unfortunately he did not play a game for the NBA.
On March 4, 1997, Roger Brown died of liver cancer in Indiana at the age of 54, and was named to the ABA All-Time Team in the same year.
On September 8, 2013, Roger Brown was inducted into the Nai Smith Basketball Hall of Fame and his No. 35 jersey was retired by the Pacers.
Back to our main topic, the time for the game is coming soon, the Pacers side also seem to be confident, it seems that they are ready for a long time, maybe some magic tricks will be used, their roster has long been without the name of Paul George, their main force is: Turner, Bogdanovic, Sabonis, Stephenson, Collison, and the strength should not be underestimated.
However, Luan Jiye didn't feel nervous, after all, he was also the one who had fought against Zhan Huang, and he had played many NBA games, and there were countless big and small games, if he was still nervous, he might just be a layman.
Moreover, this year's domestic competition schedule is also full, the Asian Games, the Stankovic Cup and the Tokyo Olympics to be held in August, and now Luan Jiye just wants to hone himself well before these international competitions start, so that he can amaze all the fans and opponents on the field, and his goal this year is to help the Rockets win the championship first!
