Chapter 0938 - Emergency Gathering

After a two-day and two-night journey, I originally wanted to call and text some friends after arriving at the school, but I didn't expect that as soon as we arrived at the station, all our mobile phones were asked to be handed over, even if we asked to call home first, we were not allowed.

This is the legendary militarized management, and on the first day I stepped into school, I already felt the iron discipline and the absolute obedience of the soldiers.

What makes me even more incredible is that the school I am in is actually built in the mountains, to be precise, it is completely converted from a military barracks, and if you want to enter the school, you have to turn from the main road, and there is at least four or five kilometers of road to reach the entrance of the school.

And on both sides of the road leading to the school, except for hills and depressions, there are hardly any buildings, and in many places there are warning signs with concrete pouring, on which are especially written in eight large characters: Military important land, idlers are not allowed to enter!

The weather in the north and Jiangnan are really not the same, not only dry, but also dusty, what is even more incredible is that it is just a little more than September, the temperature at noon is OK, about the same as Jiangnan, sooner or later, it seems to have entered the winter in Jiangnan, the biting cold wind, whistling outside the window, makes people shudder.

For the first time, I saw a two-tiered window with a radiator in the dormitory, and it was said that the heating was started in October, and all in all, the dry, dry and hot climate here made the recruits from the south extremely uncomfortable, especially when they slept at night, and many of the soldiers felt dry mouths and some had nosebleeds.

The only good thing is that there are not many mosquitoes here, except for the rare month or two in the summer, there are no mosquitoes and flies in other months.

After a while, I realized that unlike the one-month or twenty-day military training in ordinary universities, we first have to conduct three-month recruit training, and what we have to do every day is queue training. If you leave the building where you live in the district, you must ask the district captain for leave; If you want to leave the camp, you must also go to the school department to fill out the out-of-town registration form.

However, according to the veterans, during the three-month training of the recruits, all the recruits basically have no chance to leave the camp except for the exception of tolerance.

We live and train here, and we are not divided into grades and specialties like other universities, but are distinguished by squads, district teams, and brigades, with district teams being counted at the platoon level, brigades being counted as company levels, and branch schools being at the regimental level.

Our entire camp is divided into three areas, and near the innermost part of the camp is the training area for female soldiers, because there are only two squads and a total of sixteen soldiers, they are called the women's district team alone.

The middle area is the veteran training area, which is the legendary special forces unit, with eight people in one squad, four squads in one district, and four district-based teams in one brigade, with a total of two brigades and more than 200 soldiers.

It is said that these two special forces brigades have gathered all kinds of top-notch personnel selected from various theaters and armed police, and while receiving what can be called the most rigorous military training in the world, they must also be ready to carry out all kinds of sudden special tasks at any time.

The outermost area is our recruit brigade, which has a total of four district teams, each district team has four squads, and each squad has eight people.

Different from the recruit company of the general grass-roots troops, most of our recruit district team are fresh college entrance examination students, and some veterans are escorted from various units, and there are also people like me who are specially recruited by the police or the national security department, but no matter what form it takes, as long as you walk into this branch, you are an ordinary soldier, and you must start training from the recruit company.

In our batch of recruits, people with the same experience as me can be said to be rare, except for some veterans, most of the student soldiers in the college entrance examination are completely unable to adapt to the discipline of the troops, not to mention the boring queue training and the study of the three major orders, every morning at 5:50 to listen to the wake-up call to get up, listen to the lights out at 9 o'clock in the evening to listen to the lights out, go to the toilet have to ask the squad leader for leave, in their words, it is completely about to collapse.

In particular, the branch also stipulates that unless there is a call or telegram at home, all recruits are not allowed to use the mobile phones handed in during the three months of recruit training, that is, they cannot take the initiative to contact anyone in the family, and they are completely in a completely closed state.

There are a total of eight people in our class, I am the oldest, I am named the class leader, what I have to do every day is to stand in front of the queue in the class and shout the password during the main class time, and in the spare time, I will tidy up the housekeeping with everyone, and the quilt will be folded like a tofu block, and every soldier in the class will be urged to get up in the morning, and every soldier will be supervised to sleep at night.

In addition, we had to stand guard 24 hours a day, two hours at a time, and there were three sentry posts, namely the gate post of the barracks building, the post of the ammunition depot in the back mountain, and the gate post of the branch yard.

Each of our squads had four beds, divided into bunk beds, and as squad leader, I slept in the lower bunk of the bed near the gate, which was convenient for the door to be closed and opened, and for other soldiers to come in and out and ask me for leave.

Half a month has passed since this monotonous and boring training life, and the comrades-in-arms in this class are familiar with each other and know each other, so I explained to them that after the lights out horn is blown at night, if they have to go to the toilet when I fall asleep, there is no need to ask me for leave.

This period of training, people feel very tired, this night after the lights out, I went to bed, was sleepy, when I was sleepy, I felt someone pushing me, I opened my eyes in a daze, it was Cui Tinghui who slept on my top bunk.

"What?" I asked with a wink.

"Report to the squad leader, I'm going to pee."

Damn, it's awkward, isn't it? I said that I didn't have to ask for leave to go to the toilet at night, and when I saw that I had fallen asleep, he actually woke me up, and I yelled at him angrily: "Get out!" ”

Then he turned around and continued to fall asleep.

Anyway, my "get out" can be regarded as a leave, Cui Tinghui opened the door of the dormitory, passed through the aisle in a smoke, said hello to the sentry standing at the door of the barracks, and hurriedly ran towards the toilet on the back hillside.

According to the rules of the Branch, the lights in all the dormitories had to be turned off after the lights-out horn was blown, but the lights were still on in the barracks corridors and on the road in front of the gates, and on the old wooden poles leading to the toilets, the yellowing of sixty-watt bulbs was equally dimly flashing.

I found out afterwards that Cui Tinghui went into the toilet and unbuttoned his pants and squatted, peeing happily, and before the stool was pulled out, suddenly the whole camp was pitch black.

"Well, there's a power outage?" Cui Tinghui had just blurted out a mutter, when a hurried whistle suddenly sounded in his ears.

"Tick, tick, tickβ€”β€”, gather tightly!" The almost terrifying shout of the captain on duty made Cui Tinghui tremble.

This was our first emergency assembly since joining the army, and without warning, after the whistle blew, the sleeping soldiers bounced off their beds as if they had been electrocuted.

"Where's my shoes?"

"Hat, what are you doing with my hat?"

"Hey, where are you jumping?"

When the soldiers were in a mess, the voices of the captains of the various districts came from the aisle: "Don't make a sound!" ”

Cui Tinghui hurriedly put on his pants, according to him, he just put the stool back, and when he ran desperately towards the dormitory, the comrades-in-arms of the whole brigade ran out with backpacks on their backs, and the black lights were blinding, and he hit several comrades-in-arms in a row.

When Cui Tinghui returned to the dormitory against the flow of people, packed his backpack and ran to the playground in front of the barracks, 120 people from 14 squads of the entire brigade of the four district teams, except for him, all ran out of the barracks in formation.

This was the first time we had run out of the gate of the branch since we joined the army, and it was in the middle of the night, along the path outside the wall, all the way to the nearby hill and then back again, nearly 40 minutes before and after, and when we were taken by the captain to the main square of the whole branch exercise, the whole recruit brigade was chattering, like boiling a pot of boiling water.

Some said that their shoes fell on the road, some ran and ran, and the backpacks behind them were all scattered, so they had to run back to the square with their backpacks, and many soldiers complained to each other, either you wore the wrong shoes for me, or I took the wrong hat for you.

At this moment, the searchlights around the square suddenly turned on, and we found that there were two brigades of special forces and the soldiers of the women's squadron standing beside us.

Unlike us recruits, who only carried backpacks, they carried magazines and submachine pistols on their backs, and they carried much more weight than us, but they stood there neatly and silently.

If you look at our recruit brigade, it is completely like a defeated soldier who has retreated from the battlefield, and there are all kinds of foreign appearances.

After each class reported the roll call, there were quite a few of the two special forces brigades and the women's district team, and some of our entire recruit district teams did not catch up with the emergency assembly like Cui Tinghui, and some fell behind on the road and were pulled back by more than 20 trucks from the branch training department.

In stark contrast, the people of our recruit brigade are eager to dig into the cracks.
