Chapter 16: The Chosen One

Julius walked in the white mist, unable to see the road, unable to see the direction, unable to see anything. After experiencing the thrill of a sudden fall, Julius stood in place for a while. Because of the white mist that filled his vision, he didn't dare to walk around, but there was no one else around him. Whether it's Olga, Pattin, or Lulunaka, these people who suddenly fell with him, who should have been by his side, are now gone.

"Olga, Pattin?" Julius tried to shout, but no one responded to him, and if Olga and Patin were nearby, they should be able to hear them. As for Lulunaka, he was going to shout it too, but the voice that came to his lips swallowed into his throat again. He felt that if he called Lulunaka at this time, maybe she would come out from behind him, startle him, and then laugh at him again, "Hey, this doesn't look like a hero, Julius." ”

Julius didn't want Lulunaka to see his disgrace - that gaffe, he'd shown Lulunaka many times. And the most embarrassing thing for him recently was the time when he was almost killed by Roque. If it weren't for Olga, he would probably have been buried somewhere, or had been burned by Lulunaka in the pile of corpses.

Thinking of Lulunaka's grinning face, Julius's mood deteriorated a little. Not because of any emotions for Lulunaka, but because of himself. Because she was too weak and naïve, Lulunaka had the opportunity to laugh at herself......

At this time, the white fog in front of Julius's eyes dissipated. The white mist swirled out in front of his eyes, and then appeared in front of him a large hall. When he found himself here, a purple light lit up around him. The purple crystals inlaid in the walls of the hall shone brightly, illuminating the entire hall. Startled by the purple light, Julius took a few steps back, but behind him was no longer a white mist, but a tightly closed iron door. He looked back and saw the two doors that were his height, and he reached out and pushed them, but the silk did not move. He knew that this was not something he could push himself, and that at least a few more people would be able to push it open - Julius could only think of Olga and Pattin, and with the two of them, the door would probably be able to be pushed open. This is provided that the outside of the door is not sealed by a latch or locked with a lock. It was just that Julius couldn't imagine how big a latch or an iron lock would be needed for a door so big.

Since there was no way back, Julius had no choice but to move forward. He shoved the lantern that Lulunaka had thrown at him into his bosom—this was when the small and delicate thing seemed so much more convenient—and pulled out the long-crossed sword he was carrying, held it in his hand, and slowly moved forward.

The hall was much larger than Julius's first impression, and around him there were pillars supporting the ceiling, which were also inlaid with crystals that emitted a strange purple glow. This allowed Julius to see more and made him realize that he was in a large space. He looked up and could only see the stone ceiling, and if he had fallen from it, there should have been a hole in the top—you know, he hadn't gone far, and when the white mist was still there, he had only walked into the fog and walked a dozen or so steps. The purple light illuminated the space, but it wasn't bright, and the strange light only allowed Julius to see, but it wasn't enough to relax.

The place seemed to be closed, and there was nothing to be seen except the light emitted by those amethysts, only darkness.

"Olga?" Julius took a dozen steps forward, looking around, but there was no movement around him. There was no intention of ambushing his existence, and there did not seem to be a sneak peek at his existence. He shouted twice with the courage to do so, not loudly, but it passed out, and then echoed through the space.

Cautiously, he continued on until he reached the other side of the hall. A table that looked like an altar appeared in front of him. There were things on it that he didn't know, and they all looked like miscellaneous things—things that didn't catch his eye much. What kept Julius looking at it was the thing that was suspended on the altar.

It was a headband. This head ring is beautiful, with a silvery-white surface that exudes lustre, and it is inlaid with three crystals, two small and one large, tightly connected to form the shape of half a petal. This beautiful headband floats in mid-air, and a purple light shines straight down from above, enveloping it. Julius looked up and saw a circle of purple crystals on the ceiling above the ring, which existed only to illuminate the ring.

What the hell is this?, Julius walked slowly, for fear that something would suddenly jump around him and attack him, but until he reached the front of the altar, nothing happened to him as he had imagined. When he walked into the altar, he could see what was on it. There are also two daggers on the altar, overlapping each other, and glass bottles containing liquid or empty on the sides. The greenish liquid, which contained half a bottle, reminded Julius of something that Lulunaka used to fiddle with. Lulunaka's smile always scared Julius when she was doing what she claimed to be her job.

Approaching the altar, the head ring suspended in mid-air was also more realistic. The silver-white head ring has dense carvings on the surface, and the three crystals are crystal clear, which looks very valuable.

Julius approached the altar and tried to reach for the band. Halfway through his hand, he took it back. Lulunaka often laughed at him for being a dumbfounded, but he wasn't really stupid, and if he reached out and touched something weird in such a weird place, and if he reached out and touched it, and then something bad was triggered, then he might really be doomed this time. While in the village, he had heard many stories of treasure hunts, ruins, and death. It sounds romantic to hear from travelers passing through the village that there seems to be a group of people searching for relics and treasures to live, but each of their stories seems to end in death.

Julius thought they were just deceptive stories, but now he seems to be one of them.

"Why don't you take it down?" Lulunaka's voice suddenly appeared behind him. Julius, as he wished, was really startled by Luluna behind him. Frightened, he turned around and tried to complain about Lulunaka, but found that Lulunaka seemed a little strange.

Lulunaka was not dressed in the linen garment that appeared before him, nor was she the cloak that often draped over her body, as if she were one with her. In front of him, Lulunaka, dressed in a white dress, looked exactly like an ordinary girl. Luluna is pretty good-looking. She looked at Julius with curious eyes, as if interested.

Julius didn't react for a moment when he saw Lulunaka's appearance, but when he came back to his senses and wanted to say a few words, he suddenly realized something: would Lulunaka really wear like this? If Lulunaka would wear like this, would she still be Lulunaka?

Julius took a few steps back, "Who are you?"

The "Lunaka" smiled, which made Julius sure that she wasn't Lulunaka - her smile didn't feel like Lulunaka's. She leaned closer to Julius, which made Julius discover something terrible: she was floating towards her, not on her feet. He didn't dare to look down, for fear that if he saw this Lulunaka without feet, he would scream himself.

The "Lulunaka" stared at Julius for a moment, "What are you afraid of? ”

"The Chosen One?" Julius wondered why the ghost, who looked similar to Lulunaka, at least seemed to be, would say such a thing.

She pointed to Julius' chest, and Julius looked down to see a purple glow from his chest. He reached into his arms and pulled out the lantern—he was the one who gave it light.

"You look a little strange when you see me, because the person who gave you this thing is similar to me, but in a completely different way, right?" she continued, "The person who is similar to me gave this thing to you, which means that you are the chosen one. ”

"Wait, the chosen one? Why me, and what are you going to do with me?" Julius couldn't keep up with the strange girl's rhythm.

The girl just smiled, and then said, "The chosen one, naturally, wants to be a hero." You must have this desire in your heart. ”
