Summary at the end of Volume III

Protagonist:

The ancestor of martial arts, who has lost his memory, seems to have been the developer who set off a technological revolution. When his head was unearthed in a garbage dump a few months earlier, he couldn't even remember his name, except that he had an enemy named "Yogmow". Now through the memories of Tao Enhai and the Eighth Martial God, I have grasped part of the truth of the past.

Head: Half of a skull made of a high-strength alloy of unknown composition, and a recent skull made of a common alloy, containing martial arts chips and storage devices. Accommodates Tao Enhai's pair of modern "optical miracle" prosthetic eyes.

Power System: Obtained a fission furnace that was not used by the Eighth Valkyrie, but it was not installed for the time being.

Persona: "Little Eight", the Martial Ancestor's True Personality Overlay, and the "Eighth Martial God" created a false personality overlay based on himself. After Xiang Shan loads this personality overlay into his brain, he can use this personality overlay to exert internal strength that surpasses his own life.

Settings that can now be exposed:

Extreme Consensus Therapy: The Reality of Stealing the Country, the Secret Chivalrous War and the Sublimation War have occurred continuously, which has led to the complete departure of some scholars from the common concept of "rationality" of Wu Zu and the father of all opportunities. This group of scholars wants to use "sensibility" to reshape civilization and create consensus. They want to "transcend the barriers of reason" and "inhabit society poetically". They used the technology developed by the pioneers to shorten the learning time and reduce the cost of learning, supplemented by the research results of cognitive science, to create the Extreme Consensus Therapy. The reason why "Extreme Consensus Therapy" is called "therapy" is to quickly change the common imagination of mankind and promote the innovation of the superstructure. They are to treat the "mental illness of society". However, for some reason, this experiment was biased in the first place. The "hatred and desire for destruction of non-group members" in the "consensus memory" continued to amplify, and eventually formed a kind of spiritual plague.

Persona: For a summary at the end of Volume 2 for the setting of "True Personality Overlay" and "False Personality Overlay". However, personality overlay does not begin with a distinction between "true" and "false". The emergence of the fourth martial god made people confirm that "carrying the consciousness of others with biological brains" is a feasible path. The fourth martial god is called "true personality overlay", and the opposite is naturally "false nature". However, the second and third martial gods are not necessarily "true personality overlays" in the traditional sense. The process of their birth can be even more inhumane than imagined.

About Quotes and Tributes:

The title of this volume, "The Man Who Lost His Way", comes from Wang Bo's "Preface to the Pavilion of King Teng", and the relationship between the upper and lower sentences is the inspiration for the title "Difficult to cross the mountain".

The frontispiece of this volume comes from Lu Xun's Tomb Inscriptions.

The song quoted in this volume is "Farewell My Concubine",This is an accidental appearance in one of the same works of this work.,I think it's too suitable as the last word of the eighth martial god.,So I used it.。

The main tributes in this volume include, but are not limited to, the Persona series and Ultraman.

Here's a digression. I have considered what state the Eighth Valkyrie's personality overlay will use as "congratulations" when it "returns". I considered using the "Ultraman's Transformation Screen", but in the end I chose the Persona 5 Awakening Screen.

Although it was a bit unexpected to suddenly switch from "Zeta's Action" to "Persona 5's Awakening Screen", it ...... Zeta's master, Mr. Sero, is very good at using persona when he hears the accent. And Zeta's instructor, Mr. Mebius, speaks a lot of different personas when he hears the accent, and they used to be part of the Monster Thieves on Earth, when the Galaxy was there.

Finally, I would like to share my thoughts.

First of all, I would like to thank all readers for their support, and thank you for your subscription and reward. Thank you for your willingness to continue reading this story.

The title of "Who Sorrows the Lost Man" actually hides a kind of compassion for the "lost man". Xiang Shan, who has lost his memory, does not remember the direction he is heading, and is a "lost person". And many characters appeared in the later part of this volume, such as Borshu, Doctor Hu, etc., and even Zhu Xinyu, who only had a few scenes, were all in the category of "lost people".

In the past, when their own path was regained, between one loss and one gain, the traveler will often be more clear about his goal.

That's why there is this volume.

Compared to the first volume and the second volume, this volume is more satisfying in terms of structure. From the previous volume, the "Celebrity" Tao Enhai began to be the first climax, and after Tao Enhai, the "Eighth Martial God" was naturally introduced. And the fuse of the "Eighth Martial God Legacy Battle" was the Tao Enhai Breakthrough Battle.

The connection between the two things is not close, but there is still a cause and effect.

The climax of the emotions in the whole volume, I think it should also be placed in the moment when Xiang Shan recalls the past, embraces the eighth martial god, and the eighth martial god turns into a persona to fight back.

The next few chapters are also final.

Structurally, this volume is healthier than the second. This is good.

However, there are other areas for improvement in this volume.

In addition, I am still participating in science fiction discussion activities organized by the Future Bureau in Nanjing, so I will take a day off tomorrow.

The next volume, "Shin Valkyrie Reincarnation", will further uncover the story of the past and Valkyrie.
